Samantha, if you see this, your voice is so soothing. Given that my place in asking if you’re a mother is nonexistent, I can say that you’d make a good one.
Definitely consoling Howard, and showing a rare display of empathy.
@@trinaq Absolutely
😊
The time they were standing in line and Amy got upset because Sheldon was timing what time they did their thing he finally told her that he timed it so that he wouldn't forget about her because of the way that he was because he loved her and he wanted to make her feel wanted.
It wasn't really the actual Noble speech that made me tear, it was when he called Howard, Astronaut Howard Walowitz that did it for me.
Same here! Finally acknowledging his achievements are valid
Oh yes! Sheldon spent every episode ridiculing Howard's lack of a doctorate and calling his work meaningless tinkering. Even AFTER he went into space! Acknowledging and honoring his friend at such an important moment was especially poignant.
Not to be “that guy” but you gotta admit that Howard was a pretty bottom-tier astronaut.
@@hassanmohamed-qm2mj it’s like finishing in last place in the marathon. Just finishing is impressive.
@@hassanmohamed-qm2mj Sorry to be "THAT that guy," but only 562 people in the history of the planet have been to space, which, to me, is pretty significant. Sheldon has never been further from the surface of the Earth than his apartment. Perhaps he recognized that statistic as he was getting ready to make his speech. LOL
The problem with Sheldon is not that he doesn't care when someone is feeling sad, but rather he can't tell (most of the time) when someone is feeling sad. That being said, when someone explicitly tells him, or if he figures it out on his own, he will definitely console them, because one thing Sheldon is not is uncaring and cold ❤
I agree with you so much!!
So True
and he will make them a hot beverage, which is usually the correct response
@@flowertrue its what caring friend does
His character has typical autistic traits which makes sense
Fun fact: the guy who played Leonard’s bully, Lance Barber, is the same guy who plays Sheldons dad in the young Sheldon series.
NO, REALLY?
😲
No wonder he looked so familiar!!!
Oh shoot I’ve been rewatching tbbt and young sheldon back 2 back and I haven’t notice it at all!! Have a great day Eboneye 🎉
I know. But thanks for pointing it out and sharing it to the rest who doesnt know and notice
I always thought Sheldon was a better friend than what people give him credit for . He was annoying but he was there for his friends when they needed him .
I think that at times he was even better friend to them then they were to him, just saying
Oh absolutely
@@Catasmr-rl1bz5eh9o Oh, absolutely. A bunch of enablers who constantly complain about his behavior yet do nothing to deal with it because he makes them feel superior in regards to their own flaws.
Sheldon singing “Soft Kitty” to Amy! She was overwhelmed with the pressure of her Nobel nomination. Sheldon told her he was going to hold her, then started singing his special song to her. It was such a sweet moment!
Sheldon insisting on sharing the Nobel with Amy is huge because he has always found it impossible to share credit for anything lol.
I knew that Sheldon consoling Howard would nab the top spot. Sheldon shows a rare moment of empathy by sharing how alone he felt when his own father passed away, and lets Howard know that he's not alone. 😭😍💔
that was pretty much given...
It still couldn't have been all that simple for Sheldon. It seems like he suffered from Asperger's syndrome and lack of empathy and perception of nuance and social cues is the most glaring symptom.
Yep he was always talking bad about PHYSICIANS and the work Howard does
It's such a great spot. Shame they ruined it with Penny's unnecessary joke.
It makes a lot of sense because unlike the rest of them they never lost a parent but he has
I loved when he said "Astronaut, Howard Wolowitz" in the Nobel speech. He finally put Howard's accomplishments on par with everyone else's. That, or I'm just a sucker for space stuff.
I think that was everyone’s favorite moment. That fact that he showed respect to Howard there was awesome.
Why not both?
When Sheldon reacts to Amy in here wedding dress, it is one of the sweetest things in the entire show. I wish you had shown it on this video.
he said “you look like a pile of swans!!” in the most endearing, genuine way possible like it really is the most beautiful thing to him 🤍
Wow! You look like a bunch of swans!!
Sheldon is directly responsible for my 25 year marriage. I'm married to a man, just like Sheldon, minus the physics. I call him Sheldon. My favorite Sheldon thing is the way he just HAS to finish a thought if interrupted. My 'Sheldon' wasn't raised by a loving mother and was often punished for being himself.
They both have the same haircut, hate change of any kind, and lastly the same attitude regarding sexual intimacy. While being surprisingly good at it.
I'm Amy, after too❤
Anytime Sheldon mentions his father is a touching moment. They were opposites, but they loved each other.
His nobel speech makes me tear up everytime I do see it. I also loved how he was so perplexed on stage he did not get anything because he was totally overthinking that what he did and what amy told him before. I loved how he even did it SO respectfully even calling howard "astronaut" and respectfully talking to them and telling them how much they mean to him. I would have never seen that coming from sheldon.
Me too but I still think the friends finale was sadder
I believe Sheldon has one of the best character development throughout TV history
Right on!
thats why he got his own show
Fr
It's a tossup between Sheldon and Niles on Frasier
Honestly Sheldon's finale speech acknowledging Howard's proudest achievement: Astronaut Howard Walowitz was truly Sheldon at his best
Sheldon may be a genuine pain in the ass most of the time, but this video shows just how much he’s grown as a character throughout the series
I love that Sheldon is all of us. Not saying genius’s, just that most of us have kind hearts. We just don’t know how to express it nowadays.
He didn't always know it, but Amy was his real dream
She was a nightmare
If you're interested, I've just published the first chapter to a Shamy story!
@@KJTV67She was his salvation. Sheldon was a hellhound. Tell me you don't understand narrative progression without telling me.
When Howard's mom passes away it always gets me.
My favourite will always be where he hugs Penny for the serviette she gave him🤣
‘I platonically love you man but face it your a mess’ HAH
That scene of Sheldon comforting Howard after Mrs. Wolowitz died. Oh, man, I almost cried
One of my favorite romantic moments with Amy is when she reams him for not being "present" during her well thought-out trip on a train, and angry bac at her, he bends to kiss Amy, then ends up leaning in for a deeper kiss. Totally unexpected, and heart-felt romantic moment.
Sheldon: Please don't hurt my friend.
Penny: That is the last thing I wanna do.
Sheldon: Seriously coconut, what are you a hula girl?
"GET OUT!"
For me, the most consistent act of being nice Sheldon had done was with Leonard from season 1 until the end. There was no denying how much he values Leonard over everyone especially when he refused to acknowledge living without him 😅
I loved the last episode, I loved his wedding ( I actually cried in both episodes ) and I love that he and Bernadette had a real friendship because sometimes and because he is the way he is, we could think that for him she is only Howard's girlfriend but no, she is his friend like the other. And all of them love Sheldon.
10:44
Amy: I don’t wanna be the reason that you don’t win a Nobel.
Sheldon: You’re the only reason I deserve one.
I'll Give This To Sheldon He Can Be Human Sometimes regardless of his lack of social skills
I knew what #1 was going to be for a simple reason... I've heard it described that while he may not be the most socially or emotionally knowledgeable person, if there is one feeling he's highly familiar with, it's grief. Between his grandpa who encouraged Sheldon's love of science and his dad who, while their relationship was more complex doesn't mean he loved his father less, it's easy to understand that Sheldon knew EXACTLY what Howard was feeling and also knew what to say to Howard in that moment as Sheldon can understand what Howard is going to need in order to begin healing.
For me it is when he is giving the Nobel speech and he addresses Howard as "Astronaut Howard Wolowitz". All throughout the show he has made fun of Howard for being an engineer and not having a PHD like everyone else (except Penny of course). Here he gives Howard full recognition to his accomplishments.
I really admire Leonard and Sheldon's relationship
This one is technically from Young Sheldon, the spin off series, but when younger Sheldon dedicates his college graduation speech to his sister missy. I can't get through that episode without crying anymore.
Sheldon was an awesome character.
My favorite is the Christmas present. Sheldon thought he would make fun of his present to Amy. It’s of him sitting on Santa’s lap.
Amy gave him cookies made from Meemaw’s cookie recipe. And they were in the shapes that she would do.
“They taste like her hugs!”
That episode and when Penny gifted him the autographed napkin.
@@tempestates13 That was a great episode! I agree, it’s one of the best.
While Sheldon is selfish, self-centered and isn't good with emotions, we all know that he can be kind, comforting and there for you when it really matters and we can't help but love him
The Little House on the Prairie dinner aftermath was hilarious.
"Oh no... I left the food out."
"What, you afraid that it's going to go good?"
One of the rare moments we get to see Amy's sassy side.
As much as I didn't want the show to end, I think most would agree it wouldn't have been the same without Sheldon had it continued.
Yeah, I don't think we need to be reminded of what happened to That 70s Show when Eric and Kelso left.
@Christopher Bingham The ONLY reason? I wouldn't go THAT far.
@Christopher Bingham By "MOST OF US", you really mean YOU, right?
@@joshuadesautels no. Sheldon made the show what it was 😂
@@joshuadesautels Be fr
That was wholesome and I’m ugly crying right now, even though I’ve seen these episodes a million times
I like sheldons idea of bringing people hot beverages for people who are sad
As a Brit I love this as well, it's very much a thing in British culture a cup of tea as offered for any problem.
My Shelly was actually a sweetheart. He was just socially awkward. I don't think he ever thought about it.
Aww, ❤❤❤ love it. Although, he can be a pain, but there are some good things he has done for his friends.
Amy and Sheldon are relationship goals.
Hello! I just made a shamy fanfic recently called "A Strange Thing Called Love" (You'll find it if you search it up) I'd be happy to receive reviews! You can only follow my story if you're logged in so you can catch up with the updates
I'm not a super emotional person. However, occasionally, I see or hear something that opens the floodgates and provides me with a nice, cathartic, cry. The Big Bang Theory provided a couple of those moments, and MsMojo managed to capture them. Your numbers one and two picks for special Sheldon times were right on the money. Both created memories that I can draw upon whenever I am feeling like another tear-fest is necessary.
The recognition of his friends at the Nobel ceremony is my top pick!
I think Sheldon's sarcastic nature and Cold attitude is just a front deep down here is a really caring guy
no he really just isnt socially aware enough to understand
As Sheldon would say: fun fact: a few years ago I was in LA and went to the Warner Bros movie studios for a tour, and the tourguide told us that he worked on TBBT as an extra and Jim Parsons was the only one who was nice to him. He said the rest of the cast were pretty rude.
Jim Parsons sound like an awesome guy
SHELDON HAS HAD THE ULTIMATE CHARACTER ARC THROUGHOUT THIS SHOW 😭😭😭💓💓💓
the bully of leonard is sheldon´s father in the spin-off 🙃
Sheldon truly has a pure heart.
at 5:15 he plays young sheldon dad so sheldon stood up to his father for his friend lol
I love everything!
I cried a lot when he finally recognized Howard as astronaut during his Nobel acceptance speech. ❤❤❤
Sheldon doesn't mean to be a callous person, he just doesn't recognize human emotions. It makes his personality so much more endearing because, nevertheless, Sheldon has those Southern manners drilled into him. Once he realizes that he's made a social mistake or hurt someone's feelings, he will try his best to make up for it (often in the most awkward and blunt manner possible haha)
A quote from Coriolanus springs to mind when thinking of Sheldon. When Caius was asking the commoners for their support in becoming Consul in which he asks an old lady. She said "You've deserved nobly of your country and you've not deserved nobly. Caius: Your Enigma? Old lady: You've been a scourge to her enemies and you've been a rod to her friends, you've not loved the common people. Caius: You should account me the more virtuous that i've not been common in my love." Sheldon wasn't for everyone but if you're virtuous, intelligent, and patient; he would eventually warm up to you. His love wasn't common, but if he decided to give it, it was deep and meaningful.
Sheldon can be a decent person, even if he struggles to relate to others, and struggles with his social skills.
I wish this was always the voice of watch mojo. It's so calming.
At least you never had to worry about him being genuine
5:17 sheldon disrespecting his dad even after he is dead🤣🤣
What brought me to tears was “please don’t hurt my friend”
When I first read the title of this video, the clip you chose as #1 immediately sprang to mind. That was a wonderful moment in spite of the sadness of the situation.
Sheldon is not exactly a jerk. He’s very socially awkward and unwise. He’s smart academically but not socially. However if Sheldon has something to say, he will say it directly to their face whether it’s nice or not and it’s honest.
Sheldon keeping Lenord's secret is backed in Young Sheldon when he snitched about his professor friend of plagiarism which resulted in almost breaking of their friendship. He realised the severity of his deeds upon talking to his librarian at school.
Ahhh, there's always a softer side for everyone, even Mr. Sheldon Cooper!
Dr.
There are two shows that not only made me laugh, but made me want to cry. Only two, Frasier and TBBT.
Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory (2009 -2019) and Ryouta Murakami from Brynhildr in the Darkness.(2014) are both similar to each other. They're both smart and do their best as they can to help their friends from time to time in the nicest ways as possible.
The main thing is that he lacks and understanding of body language and he can't read people's emotions, while also being an "egotistical maniac" as Meemaw describes him and Pop Pop, that's why he says he wishes for the power to read people's minds.
But when he actually gets what people are going through, he's going to do the right thing. The Number 1 pick is the perfect example because, his social quirks make him to look like he lacks empathy, but when he heard "my mom died", he inmediately connected the dots since HE KNOWS what it is to lose a parent and was able to bring a comforting advice to Howard.
He's so selfish and self-centered, to the point where it's only through his own experiences that he manages to feel empathy for others.
This video has got me thinking about the whole series again from start to finish.
Oh I can still cry 😢
Augh Sheldon❤❤
Problem with number 9 is he wasn't sincerely speaking from the heart, but was actually holding back and just faking like Penny taught him to do. I would've put the Little House on the Prairie dinner there instead just because of all the work he went through to do it and it was just simply to make Amy happy.
Sheldon is my favorite, him and Penny
Ms. Mojo you made me cry again. I really like this series. Thanks!
Missed the one where he reconciles with Georgie before the wedding
This video made me cry and laugh at the same time
I'm not crying, you are!
Love your channel! I appreciate the work you do!
Who knew that Sheldon was such a sweetheart sometimes?
Agreed, it just makes the moments where Sheldon displays empathy for one of his friends all the more impactful. They were incredibly well acted by Jim.
Sheldon and Bernie's bonding is sooo cute 🥰
HOLY CRAP!!! The actor for Leonard’s bully plays Sheldon’s dad in Young Sheldon
A great list 💕
Omg. I didn’t even realize he’s admitted he platonically loves Leonard!! That’s a huge deal to admit
Number one made me cry. I lost my father so I know what it feels like.
I still think they did leonard dirty in the end of the series. I allways assumed everything evolved around him being the glue holding everyone together. So he should have gotten the "main character ending"
Actually, Sheldon was the glue. Did you remember that episode where they decided to have a party without Sheldon, but they ended up talking about him all the time and eventually missing him? Leonard was dating Priya then.
That was really cute when sheldon hugged Amy.
I loved so much when Sheldon first saw Amy in her wedding dress. He was stunned and complimented her right away ❤
When I think about it I realize how incredibly good all of the actors are in the cast.
Don’t hurt my friend…
Of all the Final episodes of all the shows I have ever enjoyed the ending for The Big Bang Theory was THE BEST!!
"Leonard, I platonically love you man, but face it, you're a mess." That's like the most human Sheldon has ever sounded.
When Sheldon tells Howard that his friends are there for him when his mom had just died. It just showed what a great friend he is. In fact, it was Howard's friends who were the awful one's. Penny thinking that he was going to say let it go, and Leonard saying to Sheldon not to say anything. Hell, when Howard tells Bernadette what has happened, the way she says oh Howard, feels like she is making fun of him. Or maybe it's because of her tiny voice that makes it sound like she was.
You are right but i dont think she was making fun of him i mean that would just be mean in moment like that, it could be just her voice but everything else you said i agree
Sheldon *certainly had his moments!*
Great video l like lt when Sheldon was nice to others
Oh there my feels are, I was wondering. 😭❤️
Amy's tiara :)
Am I only one who thinks Sheldon was nice every time ?
Sheldon:"Leynord I botanically love you man! but face it you're a mess!" lol XD
It may have taken the whole show, but Sheldon proved he is definitley a friend. He may not show it in the same way others do, but don't count him out.
love the background music
I missed this show I love all the characters but Sheldon has my heart
When I first saw the episode in which Mrs. Wolowitz died and Sheldon asked if he could say something, my initial reaction was an immediate, "Oh, f*ck...!" but when he said what he did I was stunned and genuinely got a little tearful.
After seeing Sheldon, I can confidently say that people can have different perceptions and still be correct.
