The Cinema Snob reviews Halloween H20. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
"And you killed Joseph Gordon Levett, which means Bruce Willis doesn't exist!"
Biggest laugh I had all day.
🧐🤔 but isn’t Spencer Breslin The Kid version of Bruce Willis. 😐🤨
But... HE didn't comment on Joseph Gordon-Levitt saying I...have a WEAPON! I thought that was /similar to the line from Final Nightmare "He's not going to get me. I'm not going to get out of this bed". Even though the latter was funnier
4 years later and Snob still isn't over the death of Ben Tramer.
It's okay Snob, I'm not either.
I, for one, donated to the Ben Tramer Fund for Looking Both Ways Unobstructed by a Mask Foundation, which supplies police with better brakes and nerf-covered bumpers.
I hold a day of remembrance every year
Ben Tramer died for your sins XD
"He's cute!" - Annie Brackett
Wounds of that Run too Deep..
..Who he was again?
Fun fact: This is the only Halloween film to not have a scene that takes place in a hospital/clinic/nut-house of any kind.
Batman freaking out and then apologizing because he thought the guard was Busta Rhymes is the best part of this review and I still quote that line from time to time when I startle someone at work.
Can someone explain why Brad kept calling Adam Arkin Batman? I don't get it.
Snob's outrage over the death of Ben Tramer will never not be funny
JAIL!!!
Don't worry, Snob. He's still alive in the H2018 universe.
he needs to move on
That audio cameo from Loomis isn't actually Donald Pleasance , it's actually voice actor Tom Kane.
"But where there's school buses, there's the Creeper from "Jeepers Creepers"."
I lost it at that moment for all the worst reasons.
Water is my favorite slasher movie
Flame of Udun. Nice profile picture! Is it Guts?
Psycho Ninja yup!
Flame of Udun. Berserk is amazing! You have great taste.
mine's Slumber Party Massacre 2, a comedic masterpiece
Mine's A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 and Friday the 13th IV.
The adding in of Bud's banter with that nurse in Halloween 2 was hilarious
Thanks to MST3K I call this movie Halloween Water
Actually, the voice over during the opening credits was not Donald Pleasence's voice. The original little speech he made in the first Halloween movie was tied to the music playing in the back ground, as they filmed it that way, so they couldn't pull it without the music. They ended up having a good friend of Pleasence, who I believe did voice work professionally, come in and dub his voice. So technically we don't really get the audio cameo of Pleasence, it's actually smaller than that, which is pretty sad.
Tom Kane is the name
The addition of the Sandford and Son theme was funny
At least ted hollister is still alive in this halloween continuity
No, he still died, but in a drunk driving accident as nature intended.
@@CinemaBiohazard Does that mean I the unmade sequels Ted's son became the lead?
Ah, the classic entry in the series where Micheal battled three Australian mermaids.
Oh dear god, people remember that show existed?
+scitechian
Sexy Australian babes turning into sexy Australian fish babes? You bet I remember that show existed.
Erwin Dedić That is definitely a good reason
Straya
Wait, what?
Man, she killed the hell out of that ambulance driver!
I guess they are keeping in the tradition of using captain kirk masks for Micheal Myers... the original used William Shatner, and this one looks like Chris Pine.
I always thought they looked like Data
I always thought they looked like Data
Shiirow H2O came out 15 years before Pine....so, no.
cthulhu Pthagn This joke came out 15 feet above your head.... so, y'know
Funny.. even though this came out years before J.J. TREK, the mask at 0:33 does indeed look quite Chris Pinish.
Should've paid John Carpenter more money.
Some Coder They are now. He's comin back!
+bigevilworldwide1 Shout outs to those TMNT movies that were produced by Michael Bay that everyone referred to as the Michael Bay TMNT movies...
"But then we wouldn't be able to call this cheap cash in a cheap cash in."
@bigevilworldwide1: He's actually way more involved in this new one and has hinted he might even compose the film's score.
he wanted $10 million, the budget was only $17 million
Oh boy, it's that time again !
Luxra just wait for Friday the 13th. It's going to be good
I think I´m not getting the running "Batman" joke! Is it because the guy looks like discount George Clooney or what?
ChanCeNecK that was my assumption. Otherwise I don't get it
" I'm glad your here Better child than Jamie" 😂😂😂😂
All I'm saying is that the upcoming Halloween movie better begin with Laurie Strode paying respects at Ben Tramer's grave. He died too young.
William Lowery it ignores Halloween 2 so Ben tramer could be in it
They probably going to get Michael to kill him.
Tramer is ALIVE in the new time line!
Ben Tramers coming back as Laurie’s ex husband
I was rooting for them
The way scene ends showing those questionable small buses to Brad shouting, "MOAR FUCKING BUSES", gets me every time! Haha.
I really appreciate how often Brad points out things that the movie he’s reviewing does well, regardless of how terrible it is overall. It’s very refreshing considering how black and white most reviewers are about this stuff
Fun fact(that's probably already been said 5 years ago); the voice of Loomis wasn't actual audio of Donald Pleasance. Because they couldn't get clean audio they hired voice actor Tom Kane to do voice doubling.
"I wish you would!"
That line is hilarious but did you see how it seemed like jumped somewhat his eyes make it even funnier
The Bruce Willis joke got me.
Am I the only nerd that noticed Brad used a Halloween Resurrection-esqe thumbnail for an H20 review?
Nothing lifts my mood more than Brad reviewing a Halloween film.
Best thing about the Halloween 2018 movie? It retcons Halloween 2 out of existence and therefore Ben Tramer is still alive!
*Snob:* "Slasher movies in the 90s were so lame!"
Except for 1997's "Evil Ed." That horror comedy is a hidden gem.
There's also "Popcorn", and "Candyman" if that one counts as a slasher.
Will's Genre-Rama scream
They aren’t as bad as late 80s slashers.
I will admit... That was a pretty satisfying ending. A horror protagonist that knows the tropes and skips the fake out to ACTUALLY kill the villain.
🎶Mr. Sandman, give me your beans. I want to hug you but I don’t have beans! 🎶
beans
I have a special place in my heart for this movie. Because it got me into the series.
Next year a 40 year anniversary movie will come out. They released a promo picture of Jamie Lee Curtis a few weeks ago.
Will the upcoming Jamie Lee Curtis movie be _Halloween H-Four-Oh_ ?
legendre007 more like H-Four-Two-Oh
I sincerely hope so
Halloween: Hydrogen Peroxide (H202)?
More like Halloween: The Paycheck Went Through So Why Not I Need Another House.
legendre007 Haha
There is still smoke coming off Ben Tramer’s body!! - DYING
ITS THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN
YES!!! he referenced the Hilton in Springfield, Illinois!!! Love it!!!!!
Oooooh, it's Halloween H2O. I thought it was Halloween 420.
If they make a Halloween movie in 2020 that's your title right there.
cptnsquires no it wont be. If they make a movie in 2018, which they actually are, it can be called that. Halloween is from 1978, h20 is 20 years later, 1998, so why would H40 be 2020?
Probably the only way someone could enjoy this legitimately.
It'd be funny in the context if it came out in April of 2020 Hence the name the month it would be released and the last two digits of the year it came out.
I do.
You should really review the Scream series, it'd be nice to see
Tre_ 4.2.0 But those films are awesome. I'd rather see all the Nightmare on Elm Street films reviewed, since I think he's only done 1&2.
Harmony Jones meh. Scream may be fun because Brad doesn't like those films at all
Harmony Jones the rest of the films, besides Freddy's dead, F vs. J, and the reboot, IMO were pretty good and I'd like to see his opinions on them too
Yes! Scream trilogy is the best.
Yes, I said trilogy 😎
@@sgillman16 what about 4? Lol.
15:12-when that kicked in in the theater back in 1998, I was like "LETS DO THIS!" And I stood up and clapped at the end, thinking, in my youth, that that would be THE END of Halloween. :(
Finally made it early to a Cinema Snob video!
Me too
🍪
Yes! Halloween month is Here!!!!
Wanted to see you review this for a long time ^_^
Cinema Snob is back to horror again and absolutely killing it on the commentary! And the usage from other movie clips and sound bites in this review are excellent as well. Definitely one of his best shows right here.
Yes been waiting for this
I am dissapointed: No BUSHWHACKED Joke? THIS THING IS TIMELESS!!!
The "voice over" from the intro was not from the first film but some guy who did an impression of Donald Pleasance because they couldn't afford the rights to use actual sound from the original Halloween (for some reason).
I honestly kinda prefer Resurrection, because Busta Rhymes actually makes that film "so bad its good".
H20's problem is that its mighty boring.
Yeah i came here to say this. Now i don't have to be "that guy"
GasmaskAvenger oh hell no. Ressurectum is one of the worst big franchise horror films there ever was. Busta rhymes karate kicking michael myers while saying "hi-yah!" ? Shake my damn head.
Nothing in this series is worse than Rob Zombie's Halloween 2.
I kinda wondered about that when I was editing it.
Thanks Brad. This will still be a great review 20 Years Later.
When Laurie was yelling Michael you should’ve edited in Michael from Halloween five yelling “WHAT!?!”
Please review Scream at some point.
Welshy did the Scream films awhile back. Phelous may have as well. It would be interesting to see how if the Snob's views differ.
David Bauler Welshy's review was awesome. I miss seeing him around.
Scream is awesome. I think Brad concentrates his efforts on bad films. Like Caligula :)
Scream had its charms, and it was snarky but it tried new spins on old formulas.
The sequels... yeah, not so much. The quality slide on the Scream sequels was pretty bad.
If you want to tackle a real trainwreck from that era you have to look to Sceam's smellier, dumber, Clint Howard-esque little brother series - I Know What You Did Last Summer. That series started off pretty bad and just kept digging itself deeper into the shitpit.
I.K.W.Y.D.L.S. might be getting a reboot soon, so it would be timely, too.
Harmony Jones Brad doesn't like Scream so it'd be a great review
13:08 Snob: "Oh its in the garbage disposal, you deserve whatever bad thing happens to you."
Cuts to a clip of him getting sucked into the Jumanji Board Game
Never clicked a Cinema Snob video so fast. Keep up the great work ^^
Is that the trans flag I see?
yup :P
I almost forgot that we were due a Halloween flick this year. Glad I forgot because this was a pleasant surprise, even if we're into the REALLY bad Halloween flicks by this point. And the end of the month will have one of the worst of them all.
Have a sub from a fellow trans person. :)
Thank you! I greatly appreciate that :)
#JeSuisBenTramer
We all got killed in fiery car wrecks due to reckless endangerment by mental health professionals?
scitechian
Exactly!
R.I.P. Everyone who died in Las Vegas 🙏
Gatorade>H20
You're drinkin the wrong water
Brawndo > Gatorade > H20
Ewh, you're bad people!
Water sucks! It really really sucks!
Don't let the water boy hear you say that or he'll tackle you down to the ground
Good god, YES. Been a very long ass day at work, but now I get to come home to this. Awesome!
GREAT REVIEW SNOB!! That was one of your funniest episodes all year brother. Keep making us laugh!!
Halloween 4 had such a good ending and Halloween 5 fucked it right up!
Cillian Brouder You bet it did! That's why I pretend that Halloween 5 & 6 don't exist.
The thing about the Halloween franchise is that it has so many alternate storylines and headcanons that I think it's OK to just pick whichever ones you think are canon.
For me, the original timeline stops at 4. Leaving it on an unanswered cliffhanger that would never come to fruition. I'd rather leave a mystery unsolved than solve it with a disappointing answer.
As for H20. IMO, Resurrection doesn't exist. Laurie cuts off his fucking head and *THAT'S IT! ROLL CREDITS! GOODBYE!! WE HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO DISCUSS!*
I don't count Halloween 3 as a Halloween movie as I don't view it that way. To me, it's just a good Tales from the Crypt style horror movie.
I choose to ignore the Rob Zombie films. Just like everybody else does.
lobelix11397 that's probably the best way to look at it
Halloween 6's 2 endings were perfect
The Halloween franchise is like DC Comics: If it doesn't work out, reboot it and hope for the best.
Is anyone else wondering who the other mass murder[ers] are that Loomis treated from that article in the intro?
I love the Halloween reviews! Been waiting all year for this lol 🎃🎃🎃
I look forward to this every year. Nothing beats a little snob and horror movies.
Surprised he didn't mention that they're rebooting again next year
H20 is what happens when Hollywood completely takes control over what has been a rather dark and gritty horror franchise and makes it become as casual and PG-13 friendly as possible. I do give it credit for being better than H5 but that's not saying much.
*I do give it credit for being the best Halloween sequel, but that’s not saying much
There fixed it
Steve Miner said he specifically made small references for the audience to connect this to 4-6, without mentioning Jamie or Thorn by name, to please Akkad.
(Newspaper clipping of Jamie's scissors, Laurie's offscreen 'death' explained, and setting the intro in a different town where they wouldn't know about it).
Fans made up the "new timeline" nonsense and made it a generally accepted, but false, "fact".
The only time any of the filmmakers actually said anything about a new timeline was with Halloween (2018). In early 2018, the directors confirmed it is an "alternate continuity" spinoff, unrelated to the original timeline, making both still canon.
Except in this one, they never found Michael's body in the hospital from part 2, while in part 4, they did and he was in a coma for years. And the thorn cult is not actually around ever again so...yeah, if it's not an alternate timeline, it's just a bunch of plotholes and bullshit. So it doesn't really fucking matter, either way the series is fucked.
Omg I was just talking about this and how I was excited for you to review H20. I thought I'd have to wait until Halloween
And I just watched it last night! :D
Only a year until Brad reviews the cancer that is Halloween Resurrection.
Actually, he said in the review he’s doing another HALLOWEEN movie at the end of the month.
More like 29 days until the Resurrection review.
Next year is most likely the Rob Zombie remakes. Hopefully Brad showcases both cuts of both films in those reviews.
I dunno I think the ending to 8 makes it worse than this. Not saying this is good either.
I love these so much more than Midnight Screenings. Please keep these coming Snob!
This channel/series is the one reason I'm happy my birthday fell on a Monday
Hooray for starting Halloween stuff on my birthday cx
Happy birthday from another Snob fan!
I haven't watched the video yet, but I read the title as Halloween 90210 for some reason so I assume my expectations are not going to be met
Where's "Boo! A Medea Halloween?" I want to see the review to that one!
I sooo hope he does that movie this month, the Midnight Screening they did on it made it sound insane
I still CAN'T believe there's a sequel to "Boo!"
He only reviews bad movies
It STINKS !!!!!!!!
There’s your review.
“Oh my God! It’s Anne Heche’s car from Psycho!” 💀 I couldn’t stop laughing for 5 minutes.
I literally just happened to rewatch this last night. Do I have some sort of clairvoyant powers...but I can only sense what the next episode of Cinema Snob is supposed to be? With great power...
*Can't wait for him to tear apart the Zombie turds XD*
Another great episode of Ciname Sbon and the Moives
Such fun your reviews are!
It was also directed by the Dawson’s Creek guy: Steve Miner.
can't wait till next week for him to review Jason goes to hell since Friday the 13th is coming soon
OMG you're right! This could be the best October ever.
Oh thank Spaghetti Monster, I had another form of distraction besides alcohol for beginning of the week. Cinema Snob!
Fan Theory: After the events of H6 Michael dissappeared he found and killed The other survivers from the movie. Loomis, who was now Michael's guardian, spent the rest of his life reclusively trying to track down where Michael dissappeared to. Michael knew where he lived but chose to leave him alone out of respect. After Loomis died Michael returned as we saw in H20's intro to find Laurie...
At least thats cannon in my mind.
First time I watched this one I thought it played out like a Lifetime movie or some shit like that. At the time, I was just glad to see a new Halloween and the damn violins were horrible...Another great one, Snob!!
It is impossible to ignore how 90's this movie is, but honestly, I think it would have worked as the final Halloween film. It's not particularly good, but it gave Laurie some closure.
And then...Halloween: Resurrection happened. Fuck the entirety of that movie.
And this is the good Halloween sequel (until 2018)
Why is Laurie's boyfriend referred to as "Batman"?
THANK YOU SNOB!! Well done!
R.I.P Ben Tramer. You are loved!
Despite its retarded pun of a title, Halloween H20 is actually surprisingly decent, good even. I wonder what Snob's take on this film is going to be, though. 'Bout to find out, I guess.
Im hard as a rock
EmpLaun im hard as diamond lol
i dont need to unzip my pants, they exploded
If you ever come to Jesus, you buttercream all the way. Jesus bro!
The slogan used by cinema snob and fans alike.
New Cinema Snob and it's a Halloween episode! My cup runneth over!
When you first made the SANFORD & SON reference I was already laughing but it made me laugh even harder when I first thought it was a scene of Michael driving. I don't know why, but Michael obeying traffic signals is very humorous to me. I think of him putting on his turning signal & laugh.
there should be a limit to jump scares in movies
Living in a country where we don't celebrate Halloween I think about, how would this move happen if Laurie put an ocean between her and emigrated to this country ... well if you want Mike Myers to get shot multiple times by drunk hunters mistaking him for a bear, actually that would make a better movie.
Auriorium he would just walk it off no problem.
Auriorium he would get torn to shreds
What un-American country is this, that doesn't celebrate Halloween?
Well David Bauler the country is an Ex Communist so its probably their fault, also we have 2 completely different holidays, kinda you can not mix costumes with Reformation day and all saints day.
"That's not audio from a previous film, that's dialogue from a previous film spoken by a voice actor imitating Donald Pleasance." - Actual Lee
Actual lee curtis
I am way too excited for this!
Did Adam Arkin play Batman at some point? I paused the video every time Snob made the joke and googled it, but I couldn't find the connection.
He kinda looks like George Clooney.
Two Halloween reviews this month ? Between that and the very likely Jason goes to Hell (cause Friday the 13th), this October will be very slasher-oriented.
Wish a Zack Morris reference was thrown in there when talking about Yosemite with Rod Belding
Oh shit! I'm so excited we're getting another one this month!!
Josh Hartnett does at least look like he could be Jamie Lee Curtis's son.
Can someone explain the Batman/Adam Arkin references? I'm terribly confused.
Think it's because the guy looks similar to George Clooney.
I think it's because Affleck did an Arkin impression somewhere? I had to Google it, I had no idea either.
Really? I think he looks a lot more like Ben Stein wearing that grandfather suit with the salt-and-pepper hair.
rotblitzkrieg Don’t worry, everyone is confused.
Clooney played batman around this time. This guy looks like Clooney.
"Wait Until Dark" reference...you rock
And this is the good Halloween sequel
