- Coffee or Die's Marty Skovlund, Jr. travels to eastern Europe to embed with the U.S. Special Forces "Green Berets" for one of the largest multi-national special operations training exercises in the world: Operation Trojan Footprint.
After searching for a good cup of coffee in Sibiu, Romania, Marty links up with U.S. and Hungarian special operators just outside of Budapest for the beginning of Trojan Footprint. The exercise itself is fairly complex, with 1,400 special operators from 10 different nations descending on Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria in small teams to conduct joint training in the air, on land, and on the Black Sea.

I'd love to see Nescafè doin something like this lol.
Some of the most badass people on the planet are coffee drinkers. We're going to put a spotlight on that.
fuck nestle
Filipe whats your favourite commercial coffee? Some of the greatest coffee shops Ive been to are single ones in Africa but as I live in London I do love Costa. i spend a little to much money in there
Get me a cup of sanka
Or starbucks embeds with SJWs behind enemy lines at the gay bar
That Debussy totally caught me off guard. Even got a tear out of me.
And it’s Claire de Lune too 😭
The coffee-brewing ceremony with music from Debusy, Clair de Lune...that is truly a piece of art! Very well done, Marty. A long way from Yuma... :-)
I watch these mini-docs more than once, well multiple times, and never tire of it. Excellent, skilled footage, thanks,
Go USA, Go NATO- seems appropriate.
this channel is underrated. it's so good
Thanks!
This series is amazing, love what you are doing!
Loved the switch to black & white during the pour over, it looked gorgeous.
1:11 EU asserting dominance by putting his hand on Germany's shoulder. Power Move
Why did I never find this channel before? I've been following BRCC for ages since I saw Evan on the Today Show. No prob: subbed now.
another great story. love your cap :)
This guy deserves subscribers more than most
Lovely venture all coverage just amazing just out there
reminds me of army work in Romania and Hungary in the mid 90s. A lot of history working with those countries
Cheers from Hungarian JTACs!
9:20-nál "hát menjenek a picsába", "Faszom verjem beléjük" 9:03-nál, felröhögtem hangosan :D :D :D
Awesome video, you get to go to some incredible cities and country’s, then as icing on the cake you get to see first hand some of the best fighting personnel the world has, thank goodness they are allied to the western world (mostly). 😀👍🇬🇧🏴
I subbed! There videos are amazing!
Greetings from Bucharest in Romania! Sibiu is great indeed, always love it. Plenty of specialty coffee here in the capital, V60s etc :)
Love your country!
Greetings from America my friend! I hope to see Bucharest. I love Romania and it's unique history. The US will always have your back - and I would give my life to defend a free nation full of good people such as Romania!
@@mastererik323 Thank you! Let's hope it never gets too that. War in the hybrid age is complicated and rarely pretty.
How they made the coffee was lovely to see because it Remonds me to my great grany how die made the coffee. I reale like ur Videos and i Luke those topics and well done video editing. Pls Continue 🙋🏾♂️🙏🏾
is there going to be a embedded with special forces in afghanistan part 3?
I'll get back to Afghanistan soon. -Marty
Soon... I mean cmon man. Get yourself out in the action. We love the action filled shit of war. What is this soon bullshit. Please hurry and hurry to risk your life while your brothers are risking theirs so we can watch a video game.... in all seriousness thank you for going out and sharing with us and the world and if you find it in you to go again and share your experience with us again we will honor and respect it for what it is. War. Brave men and women fighting for the freedom for us knuckle heads to not put in to context what you're actually doing and not making the A Team 3... while asking if you would hurry up and do it though. Make sense... thank you for this short film which opened my eyes to an entire new understanding of special forces. We do love it though.
No, the series is over
@@NahBNah I'm sorry if you took me seriously. Was intended to be sarcastic.
@@CoffeeorDie thanks God hahaha those videos are really good
Very cool video! Hope this channel blows up quick
We hope so too!
Those Ospreys are so awesome, love them!!
That parade looked like a blast.
It was. -Marty
I bet that Osprey ride must’ve been trippy as hell
Laughed so hard at the Prodigy cover band.
This guy has a cool job lol. Thanks for the cool video clips!
Love my job! -Marty
Mister once again, im impressed with the Video quality of your works! Congrats.
What camera do you happen to use?
Regards from Spain!
Primarily a Sony A9.
I've gotten into doing my own pour overs I love it and even though it takes time I would rather drink amazing coffee or not any at all. the smell and taste is nicer and I love to add sometimes Raw Cacoa beans or roasted cacoa nibs (deshelled beans) for taste and a little boost I think relaxes the caffeine too by the other chemicals in cacoa
Damn near shed a tear over that pour
7:28 digging that knife, anybody know what it is?
Yes, the pour over was captivating for sure
I had no idea what a pour over was till now and I want to try it soo badly
Can you do other units such as MARSOC, Rangers, Seals, infantry, MP, etc...
We're always looking for opportunities to embed with other units. In fact, we have a mini-doc coming out about SEALs on Saturday!
Thanks.
who cares about the MPs?
@@Killerkeller84 as an MP no one cares about us and I totally get why. Job sucks man
No.
that v60 clip though😲😍
These dudes are beyond bad ass, physical specimen with a very intelligent mind sent
The cinematography on that coffee pour in the cafe was amazing and so incredibly relaxing. I could watch that all day. Can't go wrong with Debussy's "Clair de Lune" for relaxing music. I'm going to go make some coffee now. Oh...one more thing...
I know it would be sacrilegious, but it would be hilarious and kinda cool if you do one episode where you do something similar with some operators brewing up some cheap Nescafe or Sanka instant coffee. Hey remember usually out in the field, that's all a soldier might have when it comes to coffee. :)
We might have to do a coffee segment with MRE coffee at some point.
@@CoffeeorDie be sure to get that close in slomo shot of sturring the grounds as they pour hot water from a canteen !
Thank you to all American Patriots who fight for our freedom 🇺🇸
Against whom?
@@lucasgrey9794 2:18
@@burgeryoufoundbehindthegrill You actually believe that fighting corporate wars for profit protects your freedom? Are you 8 years old?
The freedom to control countries with resources we want ?
@@-----hk6jj These people are brainwashed beyond help. They actually think the US is a free country. They actually think goat herders in Afghanistan are a threat to the US's "freedom". Democracy is a HOAX.
Are they using ak’s because they are more common in Western Europe and also what model are they? (Ignore my name it was a joke and I couldn’t be bothered changing it)
You guys aren’t the first, but keep it going. We were there in ‘96.
Scortched Earth We were there in 79 and again in 84 and 86, and once again in 91...
What group goes to Eastern Europe? 19th?
10TH SFG(A). I served with them in the 90's.
Wonder who this could be training for?
super tall badass at 5:53 when the soldiers are sweeping the airfield, tan helmet,
Why are they running combloc underfolders?
Nobody gonna talk about that tye dye street band at the beginning playing "Breathe" by prodigy for a bunch of kids.
This was going on at the same time my mission with the regular N Macedonian mission was going on. I think its pretty awesome to see this from the prospective of a part timing line guy such as myself. Really gives you an encompassing picture.
What kind of copter is that at 6:57...? Are those carriage things on the side for cargo, or bodies....?
rockets
Y’all should Enlist and come play with the big boys
its crazy seeing our guys with AK 47 but at the same time pretty awesome
In the beginning sounds like the band is playing Firestarter by Prodigy lol
0:55 So these guys really performing _"firestarter"_ ? 😅
4:46 ... you made this a theme on purpose?! 👌🏻
Great video. A little coffee, a little door kicking. Glad to see these training exercises continue, despite political environments. The U.S. needs to maintain allies in these countries due to likelihood of terrorist cells operating in them.
Show us where the hash is made
Missing Europe 😥
Whats the name of that song that plays when the water is pouring over the coffee?
That is Debussy's composition "Clair de Lune". Definitely one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. That song never gets old.
wigon Thank you very much ❤️
Bro the slovanian sf selection is savage af
Was this 19th? Saw another video that said so. Just trying to confirm lol
Great looking ☕️. Kinda suprised to see American forces using those underfolders
Thanks for choosing Kenyan coffee!! Its the best
Those AKs 😍😍
AK = Junk.
Can you make a vid about norwegian sf
That would be awesome!
I hated the osprey it is terribly slow to get on the ground.
Which is useless when speed is the key.
As a Kenyan, good coffee choice, there!
It’s weird to see a lot of SOF guys chatting with pop music playing in the background
Lots of weirdos in the military
@@Token_Black_Guy lmao
Anti-bug counter measure perhaps? Bet there'd be some sensitive conversations the previous occupants wouldn't want to miss.

Are they 3rd special forces group or another group
10th. They're the group with a European focus.

Welcome to Romania!........ Bine a-ti venit! 😁🇷🇴😁
Reminds me of the movie Special Forces about French SF team in Afghanistan. Great movie.
Fallen World ok
Forces spéciales, but this movie is really à pièce of shit compare to act of valor or another one and i’m french.
@@fazresal3333 Act of Valor is definitely a superior film.
Who is the enemy?
This video shows the training of Nestlé employees to secure the companies water ressources in africa.
I think its dope thats they used AKs
Surprised to see them using aks
Ahh.... so a "pour-over" is what I'd call "filter coffee". Understood.... :)
Found your channel, was really interested, clicked on this video. I wanted to know more about how the SF Group in Europe, but then you walked around trying to find a cup of coffee for the first 5 minutes of a 15 minute video...The only thing I learned was he was not "Embedded" he just got to talk to the PR officer, take a few pictures and he is a coffee snob.
Yeah, it’s pretty crazy that a channel that literally has coffee in the name might occasionally talk about coffee in videos. 😂 -Marty
@@CoffeeorDie Yea, I didn't pay any attention to the name of your channel. CZcams recommended a video to me. I read a book about a German, was a kid in Berlin as it fell in '45, immigrated to the U.S., joined the Army, became an SF officer, lead a ODA in Vietnam, was stationed with the 1st SG Group in Germany, saw the title and wanted to watch and learn more about them and their mission from the Cold War till today, but. I didn't say anything rude, just criticized but thanks for the response, I hope the coffee was good, I'm sure I'll "Like, Share and Subscribe"
Why r they armed with aks? what hAppen to their m4s?
US SOF primarily use US weapons, but but are often seen with the host countries weapons as well. Macedonian SF US AKs so they're training with them as well.
piano song in beginning? beethoven?? name someone please.
hollie gilliam Claire de lune by Debussy
skimbo72 thank you
Haha, special forces make mistakes too. 12:22
Am I the only weird guy that took music history in high school and I know all the names of these classical songs and who made them
Yeah, now fuck off sperg.
No sir, more knowledge the better.
mind sharing? especially the intro at 0:38
Shocked to see American allies using Russian air vehicles
Does allies had a big arms deposit chain in the countrys preparing for a war that they would never fight, when those countries joined NATO does storages where used to arm countries like Afghanistan
These are former Warsaw pact nations.
Are US SOF using AK's ?
US SOF primarily use US weapons, but but are often seen with the host countries weapons as well.
Sooo a pour over is just a pinky-out way of saying make it like a coffee machine?
My pants get tight every time I see a parachute open! Keep putting that work in boys💪🙏 Folgers stands no change against Black Rifle Coffee
Thought it was a filter coffee
Forgot to mention you actually have a pretty good chance of dieting when you are a cv22. Fun fact
4:59 in hungarian "sz" is pronounced like an english "s" so it would be said as "solnok",because in hungarian "sz"="s" and "s"="sh",just a quick Hungarian lesson lol👍🏼
Good to know! Thanks! -Marty
For the best coffe macchiato you should travel to kosovo ore albania I guarantee you your going to have the best coffe
Why are they using AKs?
Former Warsaw pact nations have a large stockpile Soviet-era weapons.
Warsaw Pact
5:00 for military shit
Can someone tell me why American special forces seem to prefer AKs
They're embedded with Macedonian SF for the training so they are using their weapons.
Army SF main goal is to train the local forces of the area. So they need to be able to operate the host countries weapon.
Why are SF guys using AKs?
I guess they already know how to use m4 so... why not use everything. I would not rely on US hauling tons of 556 ammunition to you whenever you need it. Use the weapons your allies use, therefore your ass is secured. SF boys are even more dependent on US ammo, because many times only way to get stuff to them is by air. Very impractical so to speak.
Plausible deniability. Hard to say you weren’t somewhere you weren’t supposed to be with 5.56 shells everywhere. Gunshots sound very different as well.
They're trained on using arms from every country in the world. I was with 10th Group in the 90's, and our arms room had Sterlings, Chinese knock offs, and AKs from all over the place. We even had some M60 variant from Panama that was most likely taken from the invasion in '89.
Burnett BBQ Interesting, I guess they train with the weapons of the indigenous units they are operating with.
America is always ready to defend its allies. The same can’t be said the other way around tho
Is your surname danish , Marty?
Skovlund is typically seen as danish, but my family was actually Norwegian. -Marty
@@CoffeeorDie okay thanks for the quick answer 😉👍
Says for north macedonia special forces....there is no north macedonia except that which is greek regional Unit there is no "north macedonia special forces" all they got is some kind of militia
Nice piece of propaganda. Which need not be seen as pejorative. Whole video was obvious & transparent in its intent. And well made. As well as informative.
Pour over Brazilian is the way to go :)
They just ask how black do you want your tea, and you opted Kenya, different styles or what?
