Ukrainian grunts today consist of people from all walks of life, engineers, scientists, school teachers, plumbers, janitors etc.

It’s an exaggeration to state the special forces were solely responsible for actions when they probably weren’t even there when it happened but were done by ordinary reservists.

Interesting.. UA really didn't have SOF until 2016? That's strange, given that Soviet doctrine called for the SOF Spetznaz troops... Maybe they've developed the Western style SOF in 2016 based on NATO training and equipment but I'm sure they had special operation units before that..

I does to a lot of people, when they are sitting in their couch ! Put on a 30 kg backpack, walk 20 hours a day for 2-3 day, eat very little and make sure you are wet most the time. The ask yourself , if it is still you thing, then maby is it !!! 😜
@@luisekjeldsen1515 yea considering I served 17 years in British Army and have been to Bosnia in late 90,s and Northern Ireland 2 tours each of Iraq and Afgan and trained in Cyprus and Germany. It is wrong to say it's my kind of thing it doesn't give good impression of myself. What I mean really is I'm trained to deal with these situations but don't enjoy them just if needs be I'm one men that could handle it better.

Reinforcing assaulting units can be very useful or in gathering intel or handling foreign language prisoners inherited.

US Army Special Forces motto is "De Oppresso Liber" it referred to liberating Soviet satellite states like Ukraine. Training people to do these sorts of things has been ongoing for a long time and for a few straight years theyve had a modern cohesive force brewing.
