- Today, it stands as a separate mechanized brigade, breaking through the most fortified Russian positions in southern Ukraine. However, only a year ago, it was a battalion that had just commenced its training. I haven't seen other individuals of th 47th Brig. but I've seen many videos of Serge Marcus, I can firmly say that he's a brave and outstanding leader, commander who leads his fellow soldiers into combat, cool, collected and calculated. Ukraine is blessed to have so many of such high quality and tremendous soldiers.
I have never seen a better leader of troops
despite being injured jumping straight to mine field with "bare foot" they manage, and that's honorable!
just near sighted ones expects that counter offensive will go fast like in was in Kharkiv region where enemy not prepared the defence, here totally different scenario, this must be understood

In fact Marcus, after the criticisms and with the armored vehicles ,He took over the assault boys and carried out a superlative field action that lasted 24 hours and managing to advance quite a bit with the infantry after demonstrating his value, he asked to be moved to other unit
He wrote on Facebook that he wants to go back to the lowest position to be closer to "his" soldiers on the battlefield. He does not want to change the unit. So maybe you misunderstood something.
Yes he asked to give up command as he was angry with some people above him. He is an amazing leader. Ukraine needs him

Wont help much without air power. Look how everyone bragged about leopards coming and they have been destroyed numerous times but shit orc weapons. Tanks are obsolete without serious air power. Only good thing is western tanks save more lives when deatroyed

Yeah Markus was disgusted with people above him and wanted to resign his commamd. Likely more unfortunate corruption in Ukraine. Too much of it sadly
The US has plans of changing the A10 Warthogs as these are accordingly old (50 yrs) anyway. Besides the F16's, why don't they send a pair or squadron of them to use at Ukraine for close air to ground support. Built like a tank, I think these planes will work well for busting up tanks, artillery and bunkers/trenches or anything that get's in the way of the Ukranian advance. The A10's gatling gun is enough to strike fear on the Russians. Add maybe the C130 ghostrider bristling with armaments and which can fly low to avoid radars and it would give an awesome firepower.

Only unit worth fighting in is a double volunteer unit. Volunteer to enlist then volunteer again for the special purpose job.
There are veterans from many different countries around the world watching this, and they can trace the history of their military unit back 80, 100, or even several hundred years into the past. In the future young men and women of Ukraine will receive the patch of the 47th Brigade and stand tall with pride and honor because they know your story. Slava Ukrani!

The Russians hopefully have learned how badly they would do against fully integrated NATO armies with full air support.
Man do u think russians learn? Even if they get kicked in the ass in Ukraine in 2 years they'll try again in some other countries. In their forums they ask to nuke the USA and Europe, what do u expect.
European armies do not have real combat experience. Some NATO armies do not even functioning properly. It's very brutal war with thousands casualties per day from both sides. Russians learning very quickly day by day. If they won't be kicked out of Ukraine, they will go to Europe but 10x stronger and smarter with hundreds thousands of soldiers with real combat experience. Combat experience is very unique thing which cant be bought or learned on training base. And its completely different experience when artillery, aviation, infantry, tanks, snipers firing at you day and night.Ukraine has one of the best if not the best in Europe anti Air defense right now but still missles can reach the targets in Ukraine. Both ukrainian and russian armies became much more developed, experienced and combat ready than all european armies. Russia shouldn't win this war, otherwise there will be a bloody mess all over Europe in 2-4 years.

The clip of the door gunner firing an M60 at 2:59 is from the movie “Full Metal Jacket”. What is the point of throwing this in ? If the makers knew the context of the origin of this particular scene, they would not have included it. Michael Herr, who co-wrote Full Metal Jacket, was a Vietnam War correspondent and talked about a helicopter gunner mowing down civilians in his book “Dispatches”

It may be desirable to adapt the military strategy to defense + guerrilla actions (before sending in tanks, etc.) + long-range weapons (to eliminate supply lines and enemy artillery). That is, for the battle over land. Slow, but steady. Slava Ukraini!
