Ultra 1080p 🤔
@donutdoode69 something they'll have to fix with dx12 but dx12 I guarantee will be shipped with problems.
its not that MFS is that demanding, its just extremely poorly coded and optimized
microsoft like to prepare things ahead of time. for example even the 2080ti struggles to maintain 60fps on flight sim. and they are using quite a bit of technology ahead of it's time. not only is flight sim not supposed to be a game but it's also meant to be a training grounds for pilots in training. what i'm trying to say is 30fps on flight sim is completely fine. this isn't a competitive shooter afterall. origin pc even made a pc specifically for flight sim and that thing had a 2080 super in it and was doing 30fps at max settings. you're asking way too much from a card that you can get now for as little as $400 AUD.
Actually love that you put timeline. Great to see benchmarks. Thanks a lot!
Solid 1080p graphics card and very rare to have a card that stands the test of time for so long. It kept me more than happy for 4 years and is still a beast by today's standards.
NVIDIA made a big mistake making a card so powerful for that price. They'll make sure not to do it again.
IMO 1080 > 2060, 3050. Only better are 2070 and up, 3060 and up, 5700xt and up
But mostly you could get similar fps with 2060 and 5600xt but I get more FPS in 70% of games than my friend with 2060 and other friend's 5600xt....
Yep. It was a BEAST for years and is still solid for 1440p and lower. Similar to the GTX 970 in longevity.

I just bought this card, EVGA FTW2, used in 2021 from ebay for $500. Replacing an MSI Vega 56 (paid $230 for this card before mining hikes) that was overclocked and running the 64 bios. Night and day difference in performance, and a LOT more stable than the buggy Vega that crashed periodically doing graphics card things. Mines me about 30-50 cents more money per day as well when I'm not using my PC for gaming/work. So glad I bought this card.

For all the 1080, 1080 ti users that bought their card at launch day, you can probably wait until the 40-series to make a real BIG upgrade :)
I got mine 2 years ago for 250 euros. Waiting for that 40 series to cash in so I could push 1440p 144hz to upgrade from 1080p 144hz 😎
I remember when it was the best card in the market
You are the best man !!!!
I still use my gtx 1080 with a 4770k @4.4ghz at 1440p everyday for gaming and love the combo. 😄 Works great.
The GTX 1080 excels at 1440p and 60fps pretty nicely, and I'd say there's no way you should be using this card at 1080p as you've been doing. Try disabling some post-processing and anti-aliasing for better performance.
so im about to get a gtx 1080 and i have a i5 11400f cpu, will the cpu bottleneck gpu or no? pls respond thx
@@monkeeatsbanana7397 It shouldn't. But, with a used 1080 being six years old, I'd be more concerned about wear and tear on the GPU. You have to be really careful when purchasing a used 1080, because a good number of them were used for crypto mining. Be sure to test it out extensively with a benchmarking program for signs of thermal damage (artifacting, degrading performance, etc). Also, check if the seller accepts returns, just in case you need to make one.
@@SnakePlissken001 yeah, the seller accept returns, and has 100 percent rates and five stars, comments all said it worked as it should and nicely, although, it is a gtx 1080 dell, in other words a blower card, but its basically just a gtx 1080 msi aero, but without the logo, so it might run a little hot. anyways, at least I know the i511400f wont bottleneck it, thanks

Even if the CPU is just 50% it might be bottlenecking the fs performance. FS uses avx2 massively which really go on the power budget and temps. Also, the more threads, the better.
Still rocking a 980 TI. I think upgrade time must come soon though as i'm struggling to maintain 120 FPS in a lot of games now.
Nvidia or AMD should launch a GPU with price like GT 710 in 2020, I'm sure the performence can be way better than original gt 710 and it'll be a good option for low budget gamers. Tbh GT 710 was a legendary card for gamers on budget. Maybe they should launch a card with 3 or 4GB GDDR5 memory maybe like the 1050ti performence for like 50$ that would be insane.
What about rx570?

Ddr3 and voltage is the most practical reason
It seems something in your system is not right, it should run fine. Maybe try a clean windows install, or uninstall the drivers with ddu. Does your gpu hit 100% usage when you have 24fps? Maybe some powerstate issues, where it does not boost correctly into the right p state, and stays at low frequencies.
