I wish they would fix the animation bug that’s been in the game since launch. I notice it every time I play and in every video I see on the game. When your character turns to the left they tend to flick into position rather than animate smoothly. And it’s only when turning left. Try it in game for yourself. When running forward tap the A key a few times as if to trigger a left turn and you’ll see the broken animation. When you tap the D key to turn to the right the animation is correct. You can’t unsee this once you notice it and no one is even talking about it.

They could have nerfed the railgun a different way. Currently, there is not a good way to deal with multiple chargers at the same time. Last night, we had to deal with 5 chargers at the same time, and that ate up a lot of our mission time. They could have given it less ammo, longer charge up, or you have to be stationary to use it. That's just my opinion. I would like to see armor layering on the enimies.

I think there's multiple ways to deal with chargers. People need to just adjust to the fact that the railgun isn't the best thing for them.
Here's some of what we use:
      - EAT
      - 500kg bomb
      - Autocannon turret
      - Railcannon Strike
      - Orbital Precision Strike
With 2 players bringing EATs, that's 4 chargers dead per minute. Just shoot one rocket at the legs and finish them off with whatever (grenade launcher will one hit the leg once it has no armor). If we can safely deploy an autocannon, that's 2 chargers dead. Combine autocannon with EMS strike ON the autocannon so it doesn't get destroyed.
Railcannon strike = 1 dead every 2 mins. 500kg bomb if we manage to group multiple (great with EMS). Ortbital Precision is hard to land but can also kill them.

@@monoespacialgood luck trying to use any of these strategems on level 7 and above since the stratagems take 2-3 business days to reload.

@@thathalflatino lol!!! That made me laugh. I get what you mean but I'm that case just go recoilless rifle + eat. Someone takes a supply pack + grenade launcher and you got enough firepower to obliterate pretty much everything.
Or just go quad arc throwers.

Changes are ok, and devs even motivating it on a clear basis. They are on such a high communication level with the community, i like it!

Was messing around with a full laser build. Laser rifle cannon guard dog and orbital laser. It feels really cool to use the cannon and when it's about to overheat switch to the rifle back and forth to output constant damage. It just doesn't do enough damage to be good but it's kinda fun.

    My thoughts on the matter;
Vigilance and Scythe need some buffs.
The Flamethrower still needs a fear effect against Termies. I’m now dying more to Hunters getting up into my face and causing backwash and setting myself on fire. I’d accept giving up some of the DPS as a compromise.
Laser cannon changes are a step forward, and I’d like to see the heat sink capacity improved, or a new backpack stratagem that improves the performance of laser weapons (improved cooling/damage output, more heat sinks etc).
The Railgun needed a nerf. I think what was implemented is a bit too much. I think they should make unsafe mode have the performance that safe mode had pre-nerf, and safe mode just requires more shots to strip armor and kill Chargers. The firestorms across social media seem to be on Charger spam at the higher levels, so to me, it seems like the discourse is more like Squad’s Infantry Combat Overhaul changes, but out of a minor tuning patch. We’ll need time right now to see what needs to be done, not an immediate reversion.
Love the improvements to the Orbital Barrages, but they’ll need to fix the marker beam disappearing before the stratagem ends.

Agree with almost anything. Again, I'd like to see the laser be this "We need to wipe everything ASAP" sort of deal where you get 5 seconds of a super powerful beam that slices through everything. Think Iron Man 2's finishing move. It would be a ton of fun to use and not overpowered because then you would need to wait for it to cool down.
I still have no idea why the back of the charger isn't a proper weakspot like it was in the first game. One shot to the ass with a recoiless was all you needed, and it was a fair deal. You would still need to avoid the charger and with multiple around it made the shot a difficult one. Now if you hit the back it seems to do less damage than hitting a leg.

@@monoespacial Honestly, making the Charger’s backside into a true crit zone may be the easiest solution if they don’t want to touch the Railgun.
As for the laser weapons, the philosophy I’ve been told from the old salts is that you trade raw damage output for sustained fire and ammo efficiency. Could make it so that lasers have low power with more range and less heat buildup/damage output, a high power mode with more armor removal/damage output but less range/increased heat generation, and maybe a medium power mode in between.
Another alternative is more weapons/stratagems, but they’ve been hinting a lot as of late. Hopefully the mech update gives us more toys to play with and we can put this fiasco behind us…

I'd rather deal with a swarm of chargers/bile titans than a swarm of those darn hunters. Hunters are what really kill me and now the flamethrower cooks them better than before. And I've found that flamethrower + jump pack is surprisingly good for dealing with those chargers. One of my friends spams AT Launcher or recoilless rifle and blows apart charger armor and then just shoots them with whatever gun he has. Still good options out there to liberate our planets from those undemocratic heretics.
