I tried stealthing bugs onceâŠ.i was surrounded byâŠpassive bugs to be exact 1 or 2 titans and chargers a bunch of the little guys and same with hunters, 1 in particular was very curious of my existence but nothing moreâŠthey didnât like when i left them to extract tho i wonder if i still have the clip
Of course I was annoyed by the overly omniscient ai but it was a funny moment so i let it slide
Now you have to recreate the video with the current 6x spawn rate for solo.
This video marks the first ever time that I have watched helldivers, why? Iâm in that MGSV faze again where the Minecraft faze lasts a mere atom of MGSV
Apparently there is weapon sound value in the game even though it is not discussed anywhere. Energy weapons make less noise, the anti-material rifle makes a lot. I'm surprised there isn't a suppressed pistol of some kind, I'm sure it's on its way though. The CZcamsr Eravin does a lot of stealth analysis content.
Hopefully they give stealth weapons next patch, I saw somewhere they talked about it. Stealth sniper would be nice too to run with the spear and jet pack.
There is an entire sound system built in the game, when you hear something during a game. (noises like stratagems, gunfight etc) The ennemy will hear it to and can found your location, even without direct eye contact. The bugs can even smell you the closer you are to them. Coming from the C.E.O of helldiver 2 in OperatorDrewski video.
The first game had an amazing silenced weapon called the SMG-34 NINJA and it's the love of my life. I hope it comes to HD2 or some other similar gun.

For bug stealth, there are planets where you are able to cover yourself in mud. Me and my friends think it helps with them being able to smell you because less came when we rolled around in it
Very interesting, I will have to test this now.
After the horrors of Draupnir, I avoid mud like the plague. But now I might just return to my home after all.

I often wander off from my team to stealth, taking advantage of my less-stealthy teammates bringing in drops far away from me to quickly and quietly wipe out bases and other objectives before slipping away from the approaching patrols unnoticed. I personally prefer laser cannon rather than AMR. Knowing how to stealth has been the key to pulling many missions out of the jaws of defeat
I love hosting a lobby and then doing this, easy sample farming so it's a win win for you and the people that join

So I am not the only pearson that thinks Helldivers 2 feels quite simillar (in some aspects) to MGSV.
I saw some stealth video and i instantly thought that.
The way they prone and dive is quickly remind me with MGSV in first place
I remember seeing leaks about silenced weapons and that would be really cool for stealth runs. Localized Confusion is also nice for encouraging sneakier gameplay, I kinda hope we see another scout type armor bonus. The crouched recoil reduction bonus + reduced visibility to enemies would be a great combo to see. Though an armor set that gave reduced visibly and increased melee damage would also be sick for those sweet, sweet assassinations. Of course we wouldn't need armor melee damage bonus if they gave us swords hehe hoho

The devs are iffy about adding a stealth weapon to the game

One thing to note, the pistol whip can headshot, making it able to one tap bots in stealth

I can't wait for introduction of melee weapons. I have a lot of fun playing as a knight, wearing heavy Armor and Shield. Soaking damage, and protecting friends under fire from automatons. Unfortnatly Sheild is useless against Bugs, so I hope melee weapons or some shield bash to deflect melee attacks from bags will be great introduction for more play options.
PS: bringing back the game to PSN not supported countries will be even better move SONY!

Helldivers 2 stealth is basically Sniper Elite franchise stealth mechanics
And a fun fact: enemy patrols only spawn arround the player to intercept them, but they still need to see you to engage in combat, they know where you are but at the same time they dont

Great video man, quick stealth tip instead of eagle smoke the eagle airstike nd 380 is good to throw on the first mission, you can throw it from far away with your jump pack nd run away stealthily.

So you know, you can call in an evac then as it's flying in leave the area and it'll hover and give you cover fire until you come back pretty much 1 shotting enemies

7:09 you can actually Throw a grenade to distract enemy patrols they will go investigate the boom
Two months ago, I had no choice but to do the MGSV thing when I was on Suicide dive against the automatons with a Level 13 player. He bailed on me with 2 reinforcements left, and it was HIS lobby. I completed the main mission objectives, and fought to 30 seconds left on the drop ship. I'm guessing everyone at Arrowhead are MGSV fans for the sneak strat to be viable.
Okay so I enjoyed the video but when you played Space Cadet on the Hellbomb that earned you a sub my friend đ
Best way to stay stealth is to wait for the timer to hit 0 and call in the extraction shuttle automatically while you are far away from the zone. And you can make it there the moment it lands, thus avoiding the fight at the end.
Protip: when it says shuttle arriving you still have a good 25-30 seconds left to get on so about 2 and a half minutes after the timer hits zero which is enough to get there from even the furthest point on the map
They really need to add more stealth based items.
Like a invisibility backpack to reenter stealth or to sneak past enemies
Or silenced sidearms that donât cause enemies to investigate
Pointless, AI always knows where you are on the map.
That's how it spawns patrols 150 meters around you.
@@gutsbobbles7973 there are multiple ai at play, it's not like its just pretending not to notice you. One AI places patrols and another searches aimlessly
I had to play MGS style to get the "Hold My Primary.." Trophy... You have to do a a whole mission without anyone firing thier primary or support weapons

Just to remind you, this is not a hitman run, hitman runs involve not being detected by enemies AT ALL and disabling your stratagems (yes this includes supports besides a sniper rifle) this is quite obviously different than that but still counts as a stealth run because of its avoidance of large fights and no deaths

Ah yes, I remember playing MGS5 and trolling a Soviet soldier with a box, making his comander recommend him to go to a psychiatrist.
You should do a tier list on the effectiveness of each weapon and stratagem in stealth. I get the basics from watching the video, but I want to see how other weapons not featured would handle.

11:35 I swear, the terrible dive/get-back-up mechanic combined with randomly getting blocked by terrain is the one most annoying part of high intensity fighting in HD2.
That and hitting reload 1-5 times & the game ignoring you, then you try and shoot and itâs still empty.

i think i read somewhere that even helldivers did stealth ops, this is honestly how i'd imagine one to go.
One of the bests helldivers team using stealth are The Ghost Divers.
I did the same one time, but against bugs and in a level 6 mission, drilling, oh boi. Not doing that again but made it so I'm happy with meself.
