This was me and my long-term partner for the first eight months we knew each other (working at the same place). After dozens of awkward conversations, he awkwardly asked me to hang out sometime, and I awkwardly said yes, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. There is hope, fellow introverts!

Literally the same happened when I approached my crush for the first time. Both of us stood together for 3 minutes looking everywhere but never in the eyes as I tried to channel my extroverted side just to end up asking about the weather when we were in a closed stadium with zero view of the sky. I almost passed out of embarassment when he smiled.

I saw a guy at a Halloween party. He says hi, and as I stand there awkwardly gulping air, he looks around and says casually, "Nice house." I say "Thanks!" and then remember "...It isn't mine." Annnnnd facepalm.
We dated for 2 1/2 years. Turned out he was an INTP and completely understood.

Have been there multiple times in my life. Too shy to approach the guy I like, but he's too shy too. Sometimes I've even heard from others that the guy liked me, but both of us were too shy to do anything about it. Then when I got the nerve to approach the guy, he'd freak and run. Maybe not that fast, but still too scared to act beyond a simple conversation.
It's like two magnets recognizing themselves in each other except they are of the same polarity which causes them to avoid each other.

this reminded me of a situation I had at one lecture. there were a few girls there except for me, and the lector asked ‘young beautiful lady, what do you think?’ looking either at me, or at someone behind me (I forgot my glasses so wasn’t sure) and asked exactly with the same face expression’ME?’. the whole audience burst into laughter. omg how embarrassing it was

So you don't do online window shopping? CZcams? You know that a lot of videos have subtitles and transcripts, now, so you don't need the sound on? There are a lot more interesting things to do than refresh the weather app. 🤦♀️

You could check the weather where your online friends live too. Then message them and have a conversation online because the in person thing is too much.
@@edennis8578 for me watching youtube or shopping in public is awk because people ask you what you're watching / buying, and i'd much rather have a normal conversation than be asked about my preferences. same w reading. i find the weather app to be a not-so-awkward choice of thing to look at. if i'm at a public event, whether what i do is Interesting is honestly pretty insignificant to me, all my energy is spent on avoiding social interactions or trying to leave !- !

I clicked real quick on this one lmao. This is soo relatable. I am an INTJ,not the most outgoing person and my crush is an INFJ who is 2x introverted than me. I don't really approach people but I thought in order to know about him more I gotta initiate a conversation even though it's something I wouldn't do otherwise. I tried to be a bit extroverted for him and honestly I would never do that again. It's mentally draining, plus things will probably not work out since both of us have personality types that won't put too much of their energy into the other..
I went through the same thing. I’m also an INTJ, and my crush was 2x more mundane than I am. I barely got out of it with the last bit of my sanity. Always initiating conversation, saying things I would never say-disgusting. So proud of myself for getting the helllll away.

@@RishitaHazarika12 I made a fool of myself. As an INTJ I am greatness oriented, and my reputation was ruined! Not only was I trying to be outgoing and “fun” but I was also letting people see me as a light-minded buffoon. That is enraging
I am an INFJ and the love of my life was an INTJ. It was literally the best relationship I've ever had or will ever have. Maybe it's different for female INTJ /male INFJ, but what happened with us is that we were so in tune with each other and so ourselves with each other that the typical draining thing didn't happen. We energized each other. Stayed up all night talking and laughing and being utter dorks with each other. And connecting in ways I'd only ever dreamed of. My advice is to find something you're both into. My other advice is to ask him questions about himself. As an INFJ, the most incredible thing is for someone to trust me and open up to me... but the second most amazing feeling is actually being asked about what I feel, think, see, believe in, etc. Those heart-deep questions. You've gotta at least try. In my humble opinion, INFJ/INTJ pairing is like nothing else on earth. I wish you all the best!

I am an INFP and according to one your videos, this is the most introverted type. I've been trying to come out of my shell a bit. I can now give savage responses to annoying people and I even tried to dance at a family gathering! Emphasis on tried. But I'm still proud of myself. My crush is an ISTJ and even more introverted than me. And when I am with more introverted people, I get quite talkative. So it wasn't hard to get him to open up.
Can relate as INFP. I worked as a cashier for 5 years now and I can confidently make small talk but I still have problems with prolong eye contact.

@@lenula1 Same. I'm INTP and I love to express my ideas about different subjects. I talk to other people who are introverted and it seems like I can't stop talking (one of the reasons I don't talk as much is because I don't want to be perceived as the annoying person who doesn't let anyone else say anything. That and the standard introvert things like not liking small talk). What I usually want to discuss isn't the typical "casual conversation" subject. That's why I am almost unable to talk with extroverts. They want to talk about the latest movie, I want to talk about political sciences and economics.

@@thatmontanakid2508 I know right! Everybody has their hobbies and topics of interest you can just keep rambling about. For example, I can talk about personality types for hours. That's why people love to find other people with the same interests. But sadly, my interests never match that much with anyone.

I feel this way as an ENFP. We are smack in the middle of the introverted-extroverted scale so we tend to be super talkative around the introverted types but super quiet around the extroverted types.

As an INTJ, there are really so many times that some guys have been restraining themselves to confess to me, strike a conversation, or talk to me longer because of my unneccessary death-glare-looking stare at people and really short, stiff, rigid, and direct to the point answers (no commas and explanation whatsoever, just period). So yeah, I have been a single maggot since birth but who cares. I even planned on who to marry lol.
I agree too much. An INTJ too, and I feel like some people just don't come up to me to talk(even if they want to) because they probably think I'm too practical-which is true. And yes the resting bitch face hahaha

I am an INTP, often interacting with INTJ female too, and yeah, I have to be the one who starts the conversation. But, when interacting with INTJ male, it’s just so hard, because my regular method seems not working. It’s just like he doesn’t want to be bothered and loads of awkward situations. But, when he’s interested in me, he asks questions and pushes me to give lots of answers. It’s so confusing

But, often the awkward moment comes and makes me text him more than he does, also he often missed my bubbles and just reply the last bubble. After he asks me questions, I’ll reply him, then his response is just “I see”. Or he often shares what he is doing though I don’t ask it before, and we keep texting until we have nothing to say and his response back again to “I see” or “yeah”.

This is so similar to how I interacted with my college crush (now husband). I’m an INFJ and he’s an INTJ, I gathered all my courage to talk to him, thankfully he was reading manga which we both have a passion for so I got a lucky break! Pretty much no chance I'd ever be the one to start a conversation, especially with my crush.
This was literally me and my crush in high school. I really don't start conversations and am a total introvert, but I really liked this person, but he was also highly introverted. All I could think of is that I had to talk to them to be able to create a bond, but it's like we couldn't maintain one cause we both don't prefer talking to people lol
I mean, personally it is approaching people that is the major issue, I reply if I get approached, maybe it would have gone well had you talked to him (also idk how people like others they haven t talked to but that is beside the point)
damn, that's awkward. I'm introverted too but due to. some circumstances I had to push myself. So yeah I even beat extroverted people in social dances because I had to lead them since Im the older one. I trained hard for that too. After that I end up getting exhausted for the day and never went to talk for remaining hours, just staring at people after the social dance. I also dance around half of the ladies in the room they were like 20ish or something
