A Texas court has ruled that online allegations made by controversial CZcamsr Dan Gryder against Texas pilot and airport-owner Charles Cook were false and defamatory. District Court Judge John Chupp of Texas’s Tarrant County ordered Gryder to pay Cook a total of $1,081,667 plus interest. Dan Gryder is the proprietor of Probable Cause, a CZcams channel dedicated to the analysis of aviation incidents and accidents. Detractors of his channel contend Gryder’s analyses are hasty, often presumptuous, and vituperative in degrees ranging from tacit to overt. AEA has released its second-quarter 2023 Avionics Market Report. In the first six months of the year, total worldwide business and general aviation avionics sales amounted to $1,601,414,712.48, or more than $1.6-billion as reported by participating companies. The NTSB has officiually weighed in on the bizarre 2021 Trevor Jacobs plane crash fraud... another instance in which an influencer proved untrustworthy. The NTSB (determined) the probable cause(s) of this accident to be: The pilot’s decision to intentionally crash the airplane. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne-Unlimited!!!

Dan Gryder = Annoying self-certitude.
Dan Gryder Probable bankruptcy.
😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
Yep, that’s what in his future.
First time I've heard this report. Impressive command of spoken language: clear, understandable, and error-free. Impressive !
So refreshing, indeed!

How do you pronounce the islands off of Alaska . Because I guess I've been pronouncing them wrong for years because she does it different than I.. (although I lived in Adak)😮
After 15 years of investigating accidents I have never been unable to listen to a complete DG CZcams show. I am not surprised he was sued and lost.
This is why you leave crash speculation to the government, hard to sue the NTSB
Does anyone know where DG gets his $$ besides You Tube? Seems that he would need $$$ to run the DC-3
He used to be an airline pilot before being canned due to he "legal" issues.
He was never canned. He has full benefits and retirement from his job.
I don’t think he gets money from CZcams. It was reported that his channel is not monetized.
Thin-skinned rich guys fighting in court like a couple of teenage girls, amuses me.
Dan Gryder is an arrogant loser. He did not even bother to show up to the court hearing. Thats say it all.
Are the sales figures inflation adjusted?
The Aeronca was overloaded?
Nuts!
Dan did not get an attorney so he screwed himself. The judge was going to dismiss the case but Gryders ego got in the way. It will be contested and won down the road.
"Probable NPD"
The judge was NOT going to dismiss the suit....The Judge was giving DG a chance to produce evidence and reasons for dismissal. Huge difference.
Seriously? He went pro se for a defamation case? Not smart.
@@timkellyD2Rin the very short term, he saves money. Long term… I doubt it
@@timkellyD2REspecially if he has an umbrella liability policy to cover said occurrences. I better go read mine before I comment further . . . 😉
Wow, that's awesome.
DG..uh oh, GD'it..
Dan Gryder should be banned from aviation imo. I am very happy to find out that he was found guilty by the court. Thank you so much for delivering the news. I hope this court decision helps bring down the rampant defamations imo happening in several channels where content creators hastily and wrecklessly jump to conclusions about what probably caused this or that accident.
recklessly*
I agree with you. A lot of Dan's assessments come off like knee-jerk reactions, irresponsible.
Almost every utube show like DG's jumps to conclusions and make quick-analyses of 'what happened'. It's a competition to get the story up quick to please their moronic followers.
Pilot In Command is responssible in this Aeronca case, moraly the thing is more complicated.
