Huge Summer Fabric Haul + July Sewing Plans

- It's time for summer sewing so in this episode of Ripper Seams I going to share with you my current works in progress which I am planning to complete over July - plus an unexpectedly massive fabric haul which somehow accumulated over the past few weeks. Come take a look at all the beautiful fabrics I've added to my collection, including my fun and colourful prints from Australia. They finally arrived!!

Thanks for the videos. It’s a fun watch! I watched several of them and love your fabric choices. One request, which may be more applicable more to the other videos I watched; when you put an insert up with the video (a pattern etc) leave it up much longer.

I love the fabrics you choose. So bright and cheerful. I have no idea what to make with poplin. I have made a shirt but it's a bit stiff. I wonder if it will soften with wear. I looove the top you are wearing. The fabric is beautiful. I could totally wear that colour. Inspo for our summer. I think fabric bans are totally over rated and unrealistic 😅😂. Yep. Miraflex thread game changer for knits
I’ve got Miraflex thread but my old machine didn’t like it at all. Not tried on my new one yet… guess that’s something to try later this week 😊
@@RipperSeams I turned my tension down and my stitch length was about 2.5 ,lots of testing though

Have you thought that instead of lining the dress, make a slip which you could then wear under the white gingham.💜
My normal go to is a slip or camisole (Marks and Spencer’s does a roaring trade from me!) but would like to learn how to line garments properly when I need to so on the look out for projects where I could try this…. And actually did try lining with my latest make. The lining was relatively fine but the dress itself was a disaster. New video incoming! 😁
Yes of course to the cherry shorts! Your fabric for the duster is going to look so good. I made a pale pink patterned one ( large print) and love it. You have some gorgeous new fabrics and seeing your joy with them makes me smile too. You are going to be very busy. 😊. Happy Sewing. Lynne

Too right! I did make sure I had enough meterage to get a dress of some sort out of most of them. Just now need to decide which ones!! 😊

Such a great selection of fabrics......I'll be off to Sydney next February supposedly to visit my daughter, but I'm actually just using her as a reason to pop into Spotlight 😁😁😁😁😂😂😂😂
