How to bind your Nursing books

- Nursing books are just way too heavy to carry! This was an easy way for me to lay off the load and focus on the chapters that were assigned in class. So glad I did it!!! :)

Just go to kinkos and they have a machine that they put the book through and it will unbind the book. Save u alot of time :)
Love this! My only problem us that my instructors are SO unorganized, sometimes (often) the chapters change or are incorrect. The idea of condensing multiple books into one is very tempting!!
WOW..my professor was just telling our class to do this!! I want to split my medical surgical book into two books!! And btw I use the EXACT same book! its sooo heavy. Thank you again Rona!!! =)

Thank you for sharing your great secret! What a helpful tip! I will for sure be doing this. I don't understand how the text book is nearly double the size of the binder book. That is crazy.
Hey Rona, next time you do that use a Feather Razor, its so sharp that the binding will be cut before you even touch it. lol Anyway, this is really cool, I too have experimented with this but your technique is way better. My book was used and I took it off the binding, hole punched it, and put those golden tacks with the bendy legs on it, and called it a day. I'll be sure you use you technique next time, thanks a mill !

Why does binding it makes it so much more condensed? I'm in my Adult/med surg semester and I enjoy your videos very much! Can you make a new video on study habits/tips or ways to organize notes/disease processes/medications type of stuff? I know it's a lot to ask for but I'm willing to hear what helped others get through nursing school.
Watching this video makes me want to study nursing. Again. :)
Did you only bind the chapters you needed or the entire textbook?
Did you do this even for the ginormous fundamentals of nursing book 1300 +pages? Did you do this throughout your entire nursing program? No regrets to the pretty books? lol I'm having second thoughts.

How did these hold up through the semester? I'm thinking about unbinding mine for next semester but I don't want to ruin such expensive books!
Lindsey Macquarrie It was perfect! Feels like a brand new book :) I totally understand where you're coming from because I felt the same way. But to be honest, it really kept me on track. So happy I did it!
I wish I knew what chapters they're gonna assign next semester so I can do this
