I've never heard someone sum it up so well. The thing is I believe he is really like this.
I think everyone should check out 15 storeys high. I still haven't watched it all but you can find some clips on youtube. I like that he basically just plays himself in a shitty poor area.

He never seems to know where he's going with his jokes but always has everyone laughthing along the way saw him live in Epsom years ago and it was the same then and I left having a great night.
At 7.30 audience gives a weak applause and Sean responds with a 30 second bit about rounds of applause which ends up with him getting a big one, to think that quick turning a weak applause into a joke 😅 genius RIP
Nothing to be said that hasn't already been attributed to a wonderful performer, one of the great deadpan comedians of our time.

Never been much of a fan of stand up comedy, but Sean Lock was one of only a few that genuinely made me laugh. One of those showbiz deaths that, even though you don’t know them, it really knocks you for 6. I had no idea he was ill, really sad news......RIP mate.

The one good thing that has come from his untimely death is people recommending 15 Storeys High. A sitcom that passed me by when it was released. It's dark but hilarious. Sean is amazing as is Benedict Wong as his flatmate. Episodes are on CZcams. Please watch them.

I will continue to watch Sean Locks stand up shows and panel show appearances for many, many years from now. He was my favourite comedian, one of the greats and the outpouring of messages from fans after his recent death have showed he was held in very high regard as a comic, which I think he would have found touching.
Probably the 1st persons death the shocked me not being a family member. RIP you funny guy

Can't believe he died. I didn't even know he was fighting cancer. Really makes the jokes hit differently. I wish I had that much humour in the face of such adversary. I'm gutted, he wasn't my favourite comedian, but I liked his silly humour and grew up with his jokes. This was a smack in the face, the death of part of my childhood

So right Tom. The ultimate attribute. A very difficult sort of humour to get right and very risky. Up there with Carlin. As i experience it Lock uses a lateral or 'reverse' mechanism as opposed to Carlin's more direct approach. Both of course honorary philosophers and psychologists. Highly observant but i suppose all comedians have that.

Sean has been a big part of my life for a few years now, always watching cats does countdown after dinner every night. Never been so upset for a comedian to pass like this
I know I didn't know him. Had never met him. But the sadness and the feelings of bereavement... it's just weird, I know. Who else will dare to be 'themselves' as Sean did? Not many.
