They are sick for the month they last
I went through my first pair of deathgrips in 2 months, now I have some Burgtec Bartender Pro's and they have been going strong for a year! Almost no wear and only grips that don't bruise my hands.
Wish deathgrips would be longer lasting, especially the ones with cool designs
Did you wear gloves ? Mine will go really fast if im wearing gloves.
Deathgrips... AKA One Rides - great grip, but damn they wear out quick. do DMR have a recycling scheme we can return them to, rather than landfill?
PNW Loam grips are my go to
I been going through deathgrips to often so have gone back to ODI longnecks since they do lock on ones now. Shame as I love the feel of deathgrips but for me they wear out to quick.
ODI longnecks ST compound, cost’s about £7.99 compared to the lock on’s £25. Just stick them on with spray paint and they’ll never slip and they don’t have the plastic core of a lock on ether so they feel a lot better buy yo be fair ODI have done a great job with their lock ons, if I had to go back I’d definitely go with the longneck lock ons.
I used to get a season out of Deathgrips on my DH bike in Whistler doing like 25 full days a year... how are you guys going through 7-8 pairs a year? On my trail bike they last a year+.
I went through about 7 death grips in only a year they aren’t even that comfortable compared to grips like ODI definitely not made to last 🙅♂️
Lol why did you keep buying them then?
@@TheNotoriousMIC cuz it was a trend to have them back in 2019 wanted to fit in 😂
@@lukeblackmore05 haha we’ve all owned death grips don’t worry. 😂
Mine last ages, but I don't wear gloves unless it's cold and raining
The irony is that they just combined 2 odi grips. the longneck and Ruffian MX.
Wish they would do a long version as well
My problem with Deathgrips is they don't make a neon yellow one. Other than that, I love them.
Amusingly, if you type ‘lurve’, autocorrect wants to say ‘lucre’, both words are equally applicable to the jewels that are Deathgrips.
My death grips have worn out very quick. I think i'm switching back to ODI. i used to use em on BMX. Figure di;d try a few different grips and ODI are still my favourite.
OG longnecks ST compound and stick them on with spray paint so they don’t slip when wet.
Strange, I ride 3-4 days a week for 4-6 hours a session and mine seem to last a good while, a lot longer than the nukeproof horizon ones I’ve just changed. Maybe I don’t grip them hard enough 😂
There’s also a soft and a hard version of them
So you might well have the hard version
@@sufyanm4661 Good point, I've tried variations of Ergon, Nukeproof and Deathgrips and must say I much prefer Deathgrips.
@@TheMTBPOV I also quite like them, but I’m yet to try many other brands
14 years riding ODI Rogue and seriously I don't understand what's the point of existence of any other grips as they're second to none. Tried (just curiosity) other ones like desthgrips and plenty other and they felt like a joke. If you ride ODI Rogue once, you'll never buy any other grips, end of story. (The only exception are people with tiny hands, they don't work for them as they thick) cheers
So how did they change the game?
I don't like deathgrips it makes the handlebar almost 2 cm wider
Tried death grips once and after about 20 rides they had worn out massively so will not be using them again just because they have someone’s name to them doesn’t mean they are good
Always enjoy your vids, but sorry: I prefer Gussets… no! Not those… well, maybe… 🤔
Odi an lizard skin are the best
deathgrips are too small of diameter and too mushy. they work well I guess if you have Trump hands. lol
Just here to promote Pilgrips 👀👀 @sampilgrim
They good?
@@TheRideCompanion oh yes, it's just getting a set cause as soon as they go on the shop they go pretty sharpish
