I’m gonna wait and shell out on a OEM NBT-EVO upgrade (way better integrated) and will be connected with the 4G module. And a 14.9” screen to get a better experience since it’s the most similar with the current bmw layout. Looking around 2.3k :)
Many times it is a thing of personal preference.
I would say that before spending the money on the NBT evo, buy a 12.6 and try it a few days. buy it on amazon and return it if you don't like it. It might surprise you. This is because I have worked on G30s with oem nbt evo and the screen and system did not impress me. They have better reverse cam + menu integration, but for Carplay / android auto the big screens are better.
@@BestCarMods hmm. Maybe the reviews I’ve been watching were low end models. I’ll get a good spec on ram and hopefully it’s not as bad as I thought.

I started to really think about to install the 14,9" screen in my F07. At first i thought that this sharp shape doesn't fit at all to the F07 interior, but now i started to like it. To be honest it even looks more elegant to me than 12" version. Bogdan, maybe you already saw this 14,9" version in real life?

When you open the original car menu, there is a clocks on a blue background on the right side of a screen. Do you know, is it possible to choose some other color to fit more to original BMW style, or at least leave it black?

the unboxed 12.3 unit was a faulty unit that got returned to the seller. at the this time I consider the 15 inch one to be the best for the f10s
I need help bought screen for my 525d f10,,2010 and the old screen has 2 wires pink 1 amd a black 1, I know the pink 1 plugs into the new screen but where dose the black plug go,, llz help

I've been on the fence for a while whether to upgrade my 8.25" screen. Aliexpress have some great prices, but in all the video reviews that I've seen, nobody mentions import duty, customs and VAT. So what are the actual prices to the UK? Is it still worth buying from Aliexpress or is Amazon a better option? Thanks.

Hi there, I'm thinking about getting the 12.3" screen that you have linked from Aliexpress as I currently only have the standard 7" screen in my 2016 F10. How do these screens work as I only really want it for displaying my original BMW idrive and then of course Android Auto. I don't want to have to sign into Google accounts to allow setup etc. Thanks!
Your use scenario is exactly how I use the unit. That is the reason for which you don't need crazy specs. Android Auto runs on your phone. If you can justify the price difference I recommend to get the Xtrons from Amazon. The screen is better quality.

additional tip: Don't install the GPS sensor or the 4G/5G antenna. they are not needed. Also you make sure that the unit can't track you and it can't connect to the internet without you allowing it.

Is the brightness adjustable?
Can you put the screen off when driving?
When you put the gear in R, does the original screen pop up with the sensors? Because i do not have a rear camera and i am not planning to install it either.
Is it dangerous because of the possible heat? I like to go on vacation in the summer where it is hot throughout the day..

Thanks so much. I have a GT 520i 2016. The 10.25" screen has broken twice!! Among other things. Unacceptable. This will be my last BMW..

idk sir i have a 2011 528i and my stock screen works like new. it could that ur touching it too hard if its touch screen but how do u break it... twice

@@Justinas189 yes. you also have the option of calibrating the sound, however keep in mind that some low cost units might not have a good DSP chip/software.
