I work for Verizon. I own this phone, and in the last 4 days, I have sold more of this phone than any other. Incredibly fast, fantastic camera, beautiful display, and the best audio system ever put in a phone to date. The notch is easily hidden with an option in settings. This phone is a Galaxy Killer, and Iphone X doesn't come close.

I love my lg g7. Had a Samsung s7 edge prior and I'm not a fan of Samsung's user interface. Beside, the audio quality of the lg makes the Samsung sound like a 1995 mp3 player somebody dunked in water.

Plus the experience is butter smooth, paired with the GA key (that not even a pixel phone has) is more than handy. All of it is pretty good, and I'm definitely happy with mine.

I love how people bash phones based on speculation and rumors before they actually release. I'd like to see him do a video on it after actually using it now...

It gets charged from 0 to 100 in 1.30min.gaming does drain the battery fast.charge wont last the whole day if u use instagram or other battery intensive apps the whole day.i love the camera,16.2w fast charging ,1440pdisplay,headphonejack,snapdragon 845 and so on.the only problem im having is battery drain and im sure ull regret buying it because of its battery.i thought it was a fair trade with alll other pros but battery does matter.

Dave Elzacky the G5 was a disaster and didn't start any trend at all. A significant step back from the G4. The G6 was a huge improvement and a good phone, but now they're once again taking a couple of steps back with the G7.
The G5 was "pretty different". The idea of the modular kind of thing is kinda cool. But unfortunately, it was a failure to gain more mainstream attention.
The only thing LG has proved with their "revolutionary ideas" is that they have no idea how to implent a good idea in good way. Modularity is great, but the G5 was an epic fail. Moto stepped in and showed them how to do it properly.
The G5 started and ended the modular trend. It wasnât revolutionary. It was a mess. Thanks to that âmodularâ design.
You also forgot to mention how the V series had those silly secondary displays. That failed too (the phones werenât bad, but that feature was bloody useless).
The G6 was the most underrated phone of 2017, Iâd pick it over an S8 any day, but then theyâve tried using an OLED display in the V30. Which ruined the phone.
And now this. A phone with bezels AND a notch.

I have this phone now for a year and a half and still works like a charm. It puts the latest Iphones to shame literally. Never been so happy with a phone. This might be the phone which I am probably gonna use for atleast 3 years. I mean it's already 1.5 years old and still feels like I bought it a week back.

Well unfortunately the tech world has plunged deeper and deeper into politics why losing focus on innovation and productivity.
Ever since the original iPhone came out phones have innovated every year taking huge step forward and both software and Hardware. Reducing size increasing power all while conserving battery.
But unfortunately over the last 5 years or so there has really been nothing spectacular. There's been some incremental changes bezels have gotten smaller screen size and brightness has increased. But there have been no big advancements in fact one could argue and the areas that are most important we have actually regressed. Storage has actually gotten smaller. The chipsets have really not increased significantly in at least 4 years. Memory size and speed has actually slowed and gotten bigger.
And none of this has stopped any of you from running out every year and paying top dollar for the newest latest greatest version of the same phone you had 2 years ago. It may have less scratches but it's basically the same thing. And as long as you keep paying for these refreshed old Tech that's exactly what these companies are going to keep producing. I know it's a little long but just something to think about

I picked up mine used (but basically brand new,it was hardly used and came pretty much brand new in the box)
And even in 2022 this phone kicks ass.
This is actually the best phone I've ever had the pleasure of owning. Well worth it. Even talked a buddy into getting one and he loves it. It's an amazing device. And the notch actually looks like the one pictured on the left @ 0:58. It's allowed the smaller bezel all around which allows the awesome screen size.

I think the notch is not bad. If you don't like it you can turn off the second screen next to the notch. In the settings there is an option for it. So Mrwhosettheboss calm down and stay on your ass. The g7 is a very very good phone.

If you dont like the notch you can change the display. Side button is for google assistant and its map-able. LG G7 ThinQ is short for THINK not THIN Q...but it is AI and will work on any LG appliances that use the ThinQ AI. The display has the brightest display screen of any phone on the market. 1000 nits. Has fingerprint, face recognition, pin or voice recognition screen unlock, you decide what you want. Altogether this is a nice phone and way cheaper than an S9 and better than an Iphone X.

Well it's out now and doing quite well. I have decided to go LG G7 recently and oh my this phone is great. Runner up for phone of the year. Even the LCD screen is is amazing and yet it is still not AMOLED. Button is for Google assistant and I can use it walking talking mode and works great as well.

The funniest thing about the notch trend is that you are just adding little spaces on either side of the notch. It's as if you are desperate for every single pixel of space, but almost every home screen has blank areas not being used at all.
Anyway, I hope LG can put a decent screen on it for a change.

The whole point about a notch is that you can place the front facing camera and other sensors in the middle of the phone. And the surrounding space when you do this can be thinner than when you place the cameras and sensors over the whole top of the phone

G7 is a great phone
The side button is dedicated specifically for GoogleHome, not for a LG assistant. I loved all the G phones from LG, but my LG G5 had a power cord hickup, but luckily I can swap out the entire charger port in under one second. That makes the LG G5 still one of the best phones out there, because it's modular to some degree.
...and another great video, love that small cut scenes thrown in during the video, it makes the video not only interesting but funny as well :)

Well, the G6 was a really good phone, only came out too late. V30 was also a really good phone, but with bad screen.
Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are really good phones, but with rather bad screen again.

The only acceptable implementation of notch (based on its functionality) was in the IPX. People were enraged that the notch of the IPX was an eyesore but then it's there to house the optical sensors. Now that some smartphone manufacturers tries to copy, they only copy the aesthetics thus also copying its eyesore design without considering if the design was really necessary and in LG's design clearly it isn't. Seeing the bottom bezel with a notch at the top was already unacceptable but having a bezel on top of a notch? I mean WTF LG was thinking?
