  • Ukrainian soldiers storm Russian trenches in terrifying POV footage near Bakhmut | Ukraine's Third separate Assault brigade posted this footage on 23 May. Ukraine Third separate Assault brigade posted this footage on 23 May. It shows their troops attacking Russian positions near Klishchiivka, where they are trying to outflank Bakhmut. Russian forces last week announced they had seized the city of Bakhmut, but fighting is ongoing. Ukraine may try and encircle the city. Describing the footage, the brigade said: Under enemy fire, we enter the enemy's position. 'This is how we take control of the "green" and knock out the enemy from it.'

Slava Ukraine!
Please translate into English (French, German etc...) and share this post.

(Do you understand, what Im talking about?).

This commander is such an obvious inspiration to the men around him. They obviously trust every single order he gives and follow them with 0 hesitation. Idk if its just me, but you can tell from the look in their eyes and their demeanors that they are very scared, but their leader makes them feel inspired enough that they keep pushing through, all the while knowing they could die at any second. You can even see at 2:59 the man the commander ordered to push the trench got a kill, and he congratulates him. AS soon as he says "horosho!" the soldier leans in, as if expecting that little bump. Im guessing that feeling of camraderie is the one thing that keeps them sane and motivated enough to defend their country anymore. War is such a senseless and meaningless and cruel thing, and yet in every single war that has been fought there were men fighting for their idea of country, family, love, whatever. I will never be able to make sense of this world when such ambivalent things as war are not only common throughout history but always so colored by emotions and ideals, all the while being led by selfish men who fight for power

In April 2022, a Putin aide published a long essay on the Russian State News Agency (RIA Novosti) website. It is a detailed “justification” and plan for the genocide of Ukraine. It deems all Ukrainians as nazi, Ukraine as an inherently nazi concept and says “Denazification is necessarily de-Ukrainianisation”. It then details how the annihilation of everyone who “actively opposed” Russia should be done in the immediate aftermath of conquest. It says how the general population “must atone for their guilt in opposing Russia” with 30 years of “suppression, surveillance, censorship and re-education”. It says “those who cannot be re-educated must be eliminated.” It lays out the plan to annihilate Ukraine as a nation, an administrative unit, a language, a culture and even as a word in school texts and history books: all is to be completely expunged. The very word Ukraine is to be erased.

You can drive for 2.5 days and not even leave Texas. Americans will drive 250 miles there and back for a dinner party. How many Europeans would do that?

Putin's and the Russian people's arrogance led them to invade their neighbor, who they thought would be a pushover. Greed for Ukraine's land and natural resources and an arrogant belief in their own might is leading to the downfall of the Russian Federation.
If Putin had had a more realistic assessment of his own military capabilities, he wouldn't have wasted so many munitions on civilian targets. Now, Putin is finding just how few allies he has as he is seeking to replace his lost equipment and wasted munitions. Since war is chaos, sometimes it is hard to follow the action in the videos. I know all of this is hard to get and present in a format we can view. It would help English speaking viewers to understand better what is going on if you are able to provide subtitles. This a a fascinating look at war in real time. I was raised during trhe Vietnam war, and that was the first time Amerisans got nightly updates of casualties and video of the war, in all its terrifying chaos. To watch war in real time in Hi Def is mind blowing, and often difficult, but it helps to let the world know what these brave fighters are up against to help motivate them to keep the ammunition and equipment coming, so they can drive The Bear out of their soverign nation once, and for all. They're meant to shout "Frag Out" when you're about to throw a grenade and only shout "Grenade" when the enemy throws a grenade at you. Thus being able to differentiate between inbound and outbound grenades. You don't want to be yelling grenade every time you throw because when the enemy throws one at you, yelling grenade might indicate to others that it's friendly.

    • @nakedgranpaw
      @nakedgranpaw Před rokem +11

We can differentiate by the tone of a shout if it's incoming or outgoing, there is no "Frag Out" shout in the AFU, only "Grenade" is mentioned in the regulations. You take cover in both cases ffs

True, but it's also situational. In Russian language (they speak Russian on the vid like many Ukrainians), you really don't have an equivalent of "frag out", at least not that I know of. "Grenade" would be used in both cases when someone is throwing it or it is thrown at you. Usually people understand what's going on through situational awareness and intonation.

Because whenever you move from one location to another, whoever stays static is supposed to give suppressing fire to protect the soldiers who are exposed. He shot maybe 3 rounds at a time. If those had been Russian Special Forces, that squad would have been eliminated quickly. The foliage is not safe for a covering position so these guys were very ‘lucky’ there wasn’t a sniper. Especially under Stalin, many non-Russian nations were starved, displaced, harassed, assimilated etc.
