They get blasted with propaganda, get very limited and false information and have no idea what the long term damage of the war is to their country and their children. Heck, i've read from multiple sources that Russia doesn't even count their fallen soldiers and doesn't pay the families when their child, husband or father dies. Their familie get gifted a new fur coat as allowance and get forced to be in their propaganda video's. There was an older woman in the begining days of the war that went up to Russian soldiers and gave them sunflower seeds to put in thier pockets so that the seeds would grow when they fall killed on Ukrainian soil. Ukrainian people are brave and deserve all our support in anyway possible. I pray for Ukraine every day since the beginning of this war.

Trenches have been a sound military doctrine even since the 30 years war. Even the American Civil war had several battles with trench warfare. Trenches aren't just a "ww1 thing" 🙄
