  • Ukrainian soldiers storm Russian trench in terrifying video of assault on Wagner in Bakhmut: This video shows Ukraine’s 3rd Mechanised Brigade engaging Russian Wagner soldiers at extremely close range as they take a trench. The attack is from the Bakhmut area earlier this year, and the 3rd brigade says the enemy soldiers were Russian Wagner mercenaries. The 3rd Brigade says it is sharing the video so viewers can experience the adrenaline and real emotions experienced by the fighters. After clearing their section of the trench, the Ukrainians retreat and regroup.

    Speaking for myself only. Fire fights are a terrifying ordeal. For the first few seconds, you freeze, but then all your training kicks in, and muscle memory takes over. Something pushes the fear deep down inside. The adrenaline kicks in, like a superpower, time slows down, your hands stop shaking, your hearing peaks, and your own mortality is just along for the ride. You're able to take in the situation, and you let your training take the wheel. But still in the back of your head, you're scared. No one wants to die, no one wants to suffer a painful death, we hope if we must die that it is quick and painless and we think more of how it will hurt our loved ones back home more. They will be sad, they will grieve, but we hope they will be proud. But anyone who says they weren't scared in a battle is a liar. A real man or woman can admit that they were scared and are no lesser thought of.

    • @MrJdsenior
      @MrJdsenior Před rokem +36

      I think you might want to put radar, guided missiles including cruise, intermediate range ballistics, and ICBMs, FLIR, and a BUNCH of others somewhere in there. :-/ And the 1st world militaries have countermeasures to drones, which will, before long, be all over the battlefield, including weapons that cost far less than the drones do, per drone destruction, than the drones themselves cost...pennies, actually. It's all measure, CM, CCM, etc. That said, weapons like Apache Longbow (for which I actually designed the servo card, at least the initial one, not sure if it's been upgraded out by now) are VERY useful in certain battlefield scenarios. As you've seen here, Afghanistan (the Soviet helis were basically shut out for day use when Stingers got there).
      Any more AA, for ANY aircraft is extremely dangerous, less so for some than others, but still a VERY real threat. Unfortunately that includes the newer Russian stuff, as well. There are countermeasures to those as well, and I'm not talking just chaff and jamming, but we've yet to see how they stack up against current AA, at least as far as I know (which admittedly is next to nothing).
      In this war, like in all others, artillery takes out FAR more targets than drones do directly, at least than drones as direct munitions dropping or direct expended attack weapons, although in the artillery case they do often have drones to give locations and corrections for targeting, which is very significant.
      And you haven't even SEEN any real drones in this war yet. If Pootie pops a tactical nuke, you just might, though. The US has drones that could drop real guided weapons, like Hellfire on a Russian target launching unrefueled from the US mainland, and that flies much higher and much faster than any of the drones in this war, and can carry a lot more weight.
      Elon Musk said that tanks are useless now that drones are on the field. The Ukrainians, the ones that are dealing with them right now, HEARTILY disagree. For such a smart guy (and I'm not at ALL saying he is not), Musk makes some EXCEEDINGLY dumb statements. I saw Hodges say something like, "...and according to that master strategist Elon Musk", and then literally laugh out loud, when discussing that statement.

      @HandleMyBallsYouTube Před rokem +4

      @@MrJdsenior The Ukrainians do lose drones all the time, but that's arguably the one thing they don't really have any shortage of as far as I'm aware. As for Elon, well what do you expect, he has absolutely zero understanding of warfare of any kind, but people as well educated as him should know better than to talk about things they have no business talking about.
      The thing with drones though, is they are incredibly significant, sure a mavic might only be able to drop a few VOG's or a frag or two, but the amount of situational awareness they can give is insane. Ukraine has several units that do nothing but drone recon, and war includes a lot of stuff that doesn't directly kill anyone, but is nevertheless incredibly important and arguably much more useful for Ukraine than whatever multi million dollar drones the US might have.

      I’ve never served, but I was raised as an army brat. Growing up, my father put us through various forms of punishments whenever we got into trouble. To the average person, some of the stuff we endured may have been regarded as being a bit extreme. But now that I’m grown, I’m more appreciate of the trainings I had to go through in order to get to this point. When this war first started. I immediately switched into survival mode. I began working out 2-3 days a week. I kept track of the situation as much as I could. My mannerism had changed. I was slowly but surely preparing myself in the event that things were to worsen. I was practically battle ready by then. All that to say that the things I had to endure in my childhood wired me to respond to certain things much quicker. It’s like robots. Watching this video, I have no reaction. I’ve seen plenty of graphic videos, but none of which have affected me. Plainly put, I was wired to go to war from the young age, and will automatically adjust my mind stare at a moment’s notice, so I completely understand your sentiments here.
