    I have to say Jeff, I bought the MD-11 a few days after the 777 and I haven’t flown the 777 since. I am absolutely loving the MD-11 and can’t put it away. The best plane in the sim. Love your channel and cannot wait for you to dig deep into the MD11, D.

      Always great to hear from you. I’m very pleased that you like the MD-11. There a new flight dynamics package/update that may be ready for the weekend. The BETS version flies great and everyone is setting their sensitivities to default!

      777 is wayyy better than md11.. i bought both and hate to say this but 777 is the BEST plane in the sim thats a fact.. have fun flying that boring md11 lmao

      @@specialopssoldier1 the MD-11 is just prettier can’t explain it to you. I grew up with the DC-10. Agree the 777 is a less troublesome aircraft to fly. It is almost perfect, but that MD-11 is so pretty. Can’t explain what attracts someone to something.

      Thank you for saying that. At American our pilots were from all around the country and sometimes the world. Sense of humor from region to region and certainly country to country. I usually just kept it calm and professional and kept my sense of humor to myself. However, I loved learning about each person that I flew with, their lives, their families, their background etc. I find people fascinating. I wasn’t everyone’s “cup of tea”, but I think most guys liked flying with me!

    I never flew the 777 but have fallen in love with the PMDG 777-300. I feel like such a traitor…sorry 787!
    I will retire from AA (FO 787) In November after 34 years.🥲

      @@787gal2 wow, it’s so great to hear from a fellow AAL person. I just retired in September and started flight simming a little over a year ago. I was flying with a guy who recommended that I get into it, and now I’m hooked. Picking up the 777 should be pretty easy after being rated in the 78. Horizon has a great freeware version of the 787-9, but it can’t compare to the PMDG product. They are the gold-standard of add-on aircraft. It’s scary how accurate the model is. Take a look at the hardware I have in the description. I swear by the Boeing a yoke, Honeycomb throttles and pendulum rudder pedals. Great to hear from you!

    Those PMDG pens? In my day, they said "Holiday Inn". Only one pen on the left side? Some cheap Captain stole it. OK, old joke, I know. My first flights in '85 as a 727 Engineer (IOE) were under the watch of a 'two striper', aka Professional Flight Engineer. I was thirty at the time. The first thing he said to me was "I've been with American longer than you've been on the face of the earth". He was right.

    Hi captain, could you confirm that this is the right pilots eye view comparing to real life or should be higher ?

    • @FatherTime1958
      @FatherTime1958  Před měsícem +1

      I always adjusted my seat so that I could just barely see down the glareshield. This was to be acclimated to that position in the event of a low-visibility approach where the runway was late to become visible. It gave me that extra nano-second to see the lights. This always left me slightly more forward than most. The sitting position in the simulator is a little more aft than I sat in the actual airplane.
