    When I was a little girl, I used to draw "designs" with scribbled lines and then color in the resulting shapes because I didn't know how to draw figures or anything realistic. It was always a soothing process. I have continued to do it all my life because it always brings me pleasure and joy and diverts my attention from the difficulties at home, at school, and as a teacher after grading papers. How interesting that the type of drawings I have been making all my life have a name. 😃 I'm retired now and my kids are grown, but I have continued to make squiggly lines and color them in afterwards. I always looked at rounding the corners or jagged edges as perfectionism, and I used to beat myself up over that - thinking I shouldn't expect perfect results from an imperfect process to begin with. Now I can look at my propensity as merely clearing my head and heart and bringing myself peace - and for that I thank you. 💐🙏🏽

      Perfect reason to start right now. I was where you are, now my art works hang in a gallery and they sell. My tips are… don’t over think it. Don’t be corrupted by videos like these because art is limitless. Picasso broke all the rules and trends. Just draw what you feel and do it fast. Don’t look for perfection. It’s the process. Using pastels lets you blend. If you are not happy just start a new piece on top of the original. Don’t be scared to reach inside and throw it all out there. You’ll feel better. 🫶

    Yes, like other commenters, I used to do these kind of freee curve/filled in doodle patterns as a child, Ioften filled in with straight or wriggly lines, dots, or whatever took my fancy. As an adult I've always done 'free' drawing usually with oil pastels for freedom, layering and blending. A friend has been posting her 'doodles' and I noticed they always have these darkened rounded edges. Noticed she gave them a fancy name so I've ended up here to find out it's a modality with intention and 'rules'. OK, happy to add this to my 'art' life. The suggestion to 'not do what your mind says' is strange for me as it means I actually think more rather than let my hand be free. I'll explore this to see what you actually mean! I suspect it's what I do anyway :)

    Thank you for explaining the basics of neurographic art. I’m a bit confused. First, you say to start anywhere on the paper and later you say all lines must start and end at the edge of the paper. In your finished drawing, I don’t see any lines that start in the middle of the paper including the starting point. Could you please clarify?

    • @createinnow
      @createinnow  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Certainly! I apologize for any confusion. In neurographic art, you can indeed start anywhere on the paper, allowing your creativity to flow freely. However, starting and ending each line at the edge of the paper, helps create a cohesive and visually appealing composition. that is why, first i would always suggest to stay relaxed and comfortable by letting your hand to start anywhere in the paper.. and later extending them towards the edges of the paper- just to maintain symmetry and balance within the artwork. I hope this clarifies things for you! If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. thank you!

      hi, thank you for sharing your thoughts🤍.... According to this type of art, By intentionally drawing in an opposite manner, you are letting go of the pressure to create a perfectly executed artwork. This freedom from perfectionism can alleviate stress and promote a more relaxed and enjoyable drawing experience..❤️ and I also agree that Ultimately, the relaxation experienced through neurotrophic art is subjective and may vary from person to person.While some individuals find it soothing and therapeutic, others may prefer different artistic approaches... It's important to explore various artistic techniques and practices to discover what resonates most with your personal preferences and needs..🤍
