You can finally browse tiktok and play subway surfers while playing balatro
A use case would be a DS screen addons for emulators
Would it though?
They are two separate devices in this case after all.
@@Hellspooned2 Get one of those 7' GPS monitors, they have a metal backing. Use it as second screen and you have yourself a DS Emulatior 😂Just have to power the screen and get a small enough HDMI cord for it.
Don't waste your time, get a 3DS and hack it and then you can play every DS and 3DS game ever made.
@@Jokerwolf666 I already got one, i just said that for a fun project
@@Kohega It would be cool if DS emulators supported phones or tablets as extended screens via bluetooth or something.
what we need now is someone awesome in the steamdeck community whos good at making apps to make a companion app so you can connect your steamdeck to your phone and what ever game you open on the deck it launches like the wiki for the game or just different content linked to the game
Don't forget that Steam Deck is a Linux box. Such apps already exist.
@@XRonin001 can you please name such apps, ive been looking for some forever and cant find any
@@XRonin001 Can you please name some as ive been looking for steamdeck companion apps for awhile
@@XRonin001 Can you name some please?
neat gadget with only 2 issues, bbq'ing your phone above the exhaust vent and accidentally dropping the phone to whatever nice, bouncy floor surface you are on at the time.
This is great for trying to 100% games and basically just set up a guide while playing so you won't miss anything while on the go
Gardiner looking like a 70's pizza guy in a pron video with that mustache lol
Interesting accessory!
Thank you for showing it!
My adhd brain is gonna love this with some minecraft jump and runs xD
I know this is Deckmate but I'd prefer a Killswitch one
Additionally some software for making it to a extension for the monitor would be nice, even if it's desktop mode only
Add the magnet to a portable usb-c monitor and add a kickstand.
Then you got a dual screen gaming rig on the go. Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, then you can even play FPS games.
I actually do something similar for my school setup.
Does that adapter work with an external screen? Maybe to make a DS feeling
I would totally use that with the Stem Link app to use a better screen for when I want more screen resolution.
Can it hold a 8 or 10 inch portable monitor?
Love the mechanism gear, I actually did a full decimate 3d print with the files they provide. That said, I’ve no idea why I’d ever put my phone above my deck?
Use case is for someone like me who absolutely loves Point and Click games, but absolutely needs walkthroughs. Although, I'm not sure my hands can take that extra weight. I love the Deck, but it's heavy enough as it is.
I’m wondering if a 7in monitor could be held by that arm I have ideas
which version of Hydro Thunder was being played in the vid?
The Xbox 360 Arcade version
What we're missing is a solid way to use your phone as a second display on Linux. This can be done easily on windows with parsec or spacedesk. Making emulation of 3ds and wii u an even more enjoyable experience
Interesting but....I just don't see the benefit (no offense to Deckmate, of which I am a fan). Most people use large phones these days, which are heavy and that would be very awkward to have to hold and since you can only attach one thing at a time to the deckmate, you couldn't also have your stand attached, so you would have to hold it. Just not practical. So I was trying to think maybe use it for something else besides a phone, but what? Paperclips and a pen in case I am doing some paperwork while playing? Fingernail clippers so I can clip my nails during the cut scenes? If I am playing while eating, stick my fork on it between bites? The kind of novelty accessory that I would use once - just to see if I could - then stick it in my desk drawer and forget about it only to be found 6 months later and think it was a old phone car mount that I could never get to work.
I mean, the phone in this was heavy, but with the OLED deck it wasn't that heavy with it attached. It just kinda changes the feel I was used to with the Deck.
It would be interesting to see CEMU with this mounting solution
can we use this to play DS or 3DS?
Aww too bad. The giveaway is unfortunately (as usual) only for the US and Canada. Would love to have a Deckmate, but apparently they are not sold here in Germany (anymore).
perhaps we can soon get a rifle attachment for the steamdeck.
Why get a rifle attachment for the deck when you can get one for your drone and then use the Deck to control the drone? 🤣
I would consider a steam deck at this point to be the baseline for entry level handhelds. This lonovo is unbelievable.
i would attach a mirror to it so i can see if my boss got out of his office
ummm if you could extend the steamdeck to it and maybe use as the phone screen for ds or 3ds touchscreen and the deck as the upper screen it would be nice
ds on seperate screens now?
having a second screen for DS or Wii U would be cool but just having my phone there I don't really care at all
You can use this for twitch chat if you're streaming
The weight must be ridiculous. And top-heavy.
Honestly wasn't too bad
next step would we making this into a true multimonitor setup :-) maybe with Synergy....?
good for walkthroughs and trouble shooting if for some reason you are far from your PC but man that price tag is is a bit much to me, regardless its useful product
I love the Mag-Safe adapter they include. I JUST WISH THEY MADE TO FIT CASES!!!
I have a DBrand Killswitch case. I know there are 3D printers of a DBrand to Deckmate adapter, but still.
EDIT: This is great... if you don't like Nintendo 😈 I am just happy I still have Citra and Cemu.
They have a free, 3d printable file for a Killswitch to Deckmate adapter plate on their website
@@gardiner_bryant reasons to get a 3D printer #1... your steam deck needs to accessorize! 😁
But there is a video idea for you. Top 3D Printed Steam Deck accessories.
They have a universal adapter that will stick to anything and give you the functionality
Finally a way to play WiiU games as intended.
Use case: I imagine it's for streaming using the phone's camera?
Cool!
Attaching to the phone via adhesive on the back sounds really insecure. One good jerk and the back will pop off, sending the rest of the phone heading straight for the nearest floor and the battery skidding across the room.
What game is that? Looks fun
Hydro Thunder Hurricane (Xbox 360 Arcade emulated through Xenia)
Wouldn't the magnets effect the system ?
How? The magnets are on the other end of the shaft. They're not anywhere near the Deck
No offense but this title and the thumbnail reads like "Attach a post-it note to your forehead (EASY!)" lmao
I am guessing, DS, 3DS and Wii U emulation?
So you can watch your movies and play your games at the same time. Lol
Not really for me, since my phone doesn't have Magsafe. But even if it did, I'd really rather want a mount for a small keyboard
You can mount it upside down (so the arm comes out of the bottom) and then put the included MagSafe sticker on a keyboard to achieve the effect
@@bezza191 Ohh, I realized kinda late that that was a magsafe sticker. Then that'd work, I guess. Only leaves the question if you could comfortably hold it by the mounted keyboard or at least somewhat fold it, so it becomes actually convenient to portably use the two
Use case: zoom meeting while gaming. No one would know....
That thing looks goofy af 😂🤣🤣
now get a small portable oled up top and play ds games.... DOOO IT
Because the Deck is not heavy enough on its own.
i have never seen a Blond Mustache as swanky as yours.
Thank you. I love it. It doesn't come through on camera but I've got dirty blond hair.
He's on that Wilford Brimley destiny side mission.
same phone as me lol
Hey! Emperor’s new clothes!?! What a useless, impractical piece of €rap. I want my 6mins back!!
It is literally (literally) in the title, my dude.
To follow a video or text walkthrough can be useful, but it is not needed for a video call.
Sorry.....just don't get it....
Naw, this is kinda dumb. I get showing new gadgets and tech though.
3DS & DS suck it Nintendo
usless if you ask me
Maybe I’m in the minority here but all I see is a waste of money.
You forgot to shave.
haram
Why? Seems like a zero use case piece of plastic. Capitolism 🎉
For discord
that looks like a magsafe ring
