@@onicalizz44 hmm, as I saw it’s like a checklist of the remaining steps of the application so if you have done any of the steps you mark it as done. My question is before getting into all this steps we should know if we are eligible or not?

Hello MMA, I am a nurse who studied English from primary school up to my degree in Botswana, am I required to sit for IELTS as I believe our education system in the late 80s, has been conducted in the UK english
Hi Gaonyadiwe, unfortunately Botswana is not under Major english speaking country as per NMC website. Hence, NMC will require all overseas nurses to undergo IELTS OR OET to prove their English proficiency.

You will most certainly need to pay upfront but many employers refund this to you on your arrival in the UK depending on the employer relocation packages.

IELTS UKVI with a score of 5 or more in each skill will be acceptable

Hi Mbali, you can usually book your IELTS on British council or IDP website online but due to current lock-down their centers might be closed. You must double check with the centers near you. PS - you should book IELTS Academic now as its accepted by both NMC and Home office for visa.

It's advisable to come to the UK alone in the first case until you pass your OSCE.

If you have your qualification in the UK, you will certainly not require to take your English test. You may however ask NMC to give a written confirmation on email for this to be 100% sure

The NMC will only accept you under Evidence 2 if you did your pre registration nursing in the last 2 years and at the moment they do not consider post graduate qualifications - which I know makes no sense

Hi Anil, once you have passed your English requirement, we can book you in for potential interviews in no time. After your decision letter from NMC, your employer will assist with COS and Visa - you will be able to come and work this side than after. Its advisable to bring your spouse after your OSCE so that you are well settled before you bring your spouse this side.
