  • Since we made this video, NMC and the Home office have made certain changes which include accepting IELTS Academic as a single test acceptable for both NMC REGISTRATION AND VISA PURPOSE.
    IELTS UKVI is no longer required.

      Hi Del,
      The cost involved in the whole process might vary from country to country depending on your currencies. However, here is the breakdown in a nutshell for you to have an overview:
      1. IELTS = £170 / OET = £350 (Approx)
      2. CBT = £83
      3. NMC Verification fees: £140
      4. NMC Registration Fees = £153
      5. The other cost involved will be for the police clearance certificate and TB certificate. Your training institution/nursing council might charge their admin fees for completing your reference/forms.
      6. Covid test cost
      7. OSCE fees (£794) will be paid by your employer in the first case most certainly AND then your employer will ask you to repay the fees from your salary once you start with them on monthly basis.
      The T&C for repayment for this might differ for each employer but will be explained to you well in advance.

    Can I travel with my family( husband and daughter) at the same time when relocating for the new job. I know I'm paying for their own health surcharge and everything. Or must I have my NMC PIN first before applying for dependent visa for them.

    • @MMAHealthcareRecruitment
      @MMAHealthcareRecruitment  Před 4 lety

      Hi Jemimah,
      Moving abroad to a foreign country for a new job and life is not for the faint of heart. There are many financial and emotional factors to consider. You should think very carefully before deciding to bring your significant other and/or children to the UK.
      Your first weeks and months in the UK may be emotionally draining, as you have to focus on your new living and working environment, learn new systems and procedures, prepare for your NMC OSCE (if applicable), open bank accounts and many other responsibilities. Unless you have family in the UK already, we would not advise on bringing family members this early on.

    • @MMAHealthcareRecruitment
      @MMAHealthcareRecruitment  Před 3 lety

      Hi Plabon,
      The UK government has recently revised its Code of Practice for international recruitment to ban recruitment agencies from actively recruiting nurses from a list of 47 countries.
      Unfortunately, your country is currently on that list, which means MMA is not allowed to support you in finding a job in the UK.
      We are expecting a government-to-government agreement shortly, but until then, we will sadly have to put your job application on hold for now.
      www.gov.uk/government/news/uk-to-strengthen-its-ethical-approach-to-the-international-recruitment-of-health-and-care-workers
      It breaks my heart to give you this news, but I urge you to keep believing & stay optimistic that the governments will have this worked out very soon. We will keep you posted on any news from our side as well.
