64GB is fine for the majority of people. I have a 128GB OnePlus 6T and I think I've only used around 30GB of it even with all my games. Music storage was a big factor a decade ago, but streaming is the norm now.

At least the quality of some games went up.
1TB isn't enough. I need at least 50TB.
And the weird thing is that now most things can be backed up and stored in 'the cloud', but with higher resolution screens came higher resolution assets that take more space, with better gpu's it opened more possibilities for more complex games that take more space and with the camera improvements, specially for video, 4K or high framerate videos can eat up a lot of space fast.

Sam Mary I think you need to realise that some people prefer Apples ecosystem to Androids ecosystem. It’s a matter of preference at the end of the day. To some people specs don’t even matter to them and this new iPhone truly is a great phone for those people who are on a budget and can do day to day jobs. :)

When I had my 16 gb iPhone 6 that thing was a hassle lol. My 7+ had 32gb and even that ran out. But that's coming from someone who has 12,000 photos. Needless to say, I'm a hoarder and I never delete anything 😂

This is perfect. My dad uses a flip phone he does no social media not even take pictures. Just calls for his small business and for us to call him that’s it. Nobody really makes flip phones anymore. And T-Mobile has one and he has it but it’s so so cheap no calls ever come through we have replaced it over and over and it stops working right away. So we recently told him he’s going to have to go to new screen type phone but he don’t need the greatest and he needs a physical button because he’s not tech savvy so this is just right for him a simple iPhone and the price is perfect. I’m just going to have the phone and maybe camera in the main front page for him he don’t even make text messages because he don’t know how. So we def. getting this for him !!!! Yay !!
If your dad love the numerical keypad, i suggest New Nokia 2720 Flip, it can sms, phone call, even whatsapp. I think it is perfect for the old generation that do not need complex fiture phone.

A lot of the people I see with iPhones have iPhone 6 or 6s so if you see a phone with a body you are used to you’ll feel a little more attracted to it especially if the insides are way better
this is perfect for social people who want a crispy camera (camera quality is slightly higher than iPhone Xr because of the A13 Bionic chip) & only use the phone for texting & listening to music & working out while it’s in their pocket (small form factor is an advantage) & also exclusively watch netflix on their 4K TV & game heavily when there is a charger around.
The good thing its that they sell external lens that you can use to make your experience just as great as having the iphone 11 pro

the se has always been a budget phone. although it is a powerful phone (and thats undeniable), the 11 and 11 pro are waaay better, so you have nothing to worry about. even i, who’s got an xs, think my phone is better than this one.

IT pro here, still rocking the iPhone 5S as personal phone.
Phones just don't do it for me. I could not care less about them. I have a sleek XPS13 laptop to use for work and browsing on the move and £2000 gaming rig for everything else. A phone is there to message / call people and take the odd snapchat to get a laugh from friends for me.
So this is a perfect upgrade for when my 5S finally dies. A solid, fast iPhone that doesn't make me pay over the odds for bells and whistles I wont use.
Honestly I love hearing about new tech but I also pre ordered this phone because it has everything I want and could ever need. It's fast, compact, has a good camera, decent battery life, extra RAM, and even wireless charging and an IPS rating. To me at $399 it's perfect and offers more than other phones at that price point. Most phones at that price don't come with wireless charging or water resistance!! Apple really hit the nail on the head with this one. They made it almost too good lol. I'm happy that we can finally get a good new iPhone at such a low price. I think it'll be an amazing upgrade for you!

Why would your parents need one of the fastest mobile processors on the market? Do they do video editing or other CPU intensive work on their phones? You don't need anywhere near this processing power for anything your parents will do with the device. My phone for example has a CPU about half as fast compared to the A13 Bionic, but it is very power efficient and paired with its 4000mAh battery it can last for up to 2-3 days without charging. This is something that actually matters! Why would you spend $400+ on 5 years old hardware paired with a way too fast CPU when you can get something with way better overall specs and features that actually make sense for like half the price? Because it has an Apple on the back of it?!

Apple provide 5+ years updates. I thought about buying it, But IDK if It can transfer pdf from my windows to that phone. As I use a lot of transfer btw pc and phone. So, It's os is unfamiliar to me. So it's good deal

Another reason is if they don't watch movies they probably don't need big screen. Any Android I ever used intentionally gets slow down after a year or two had experienced with samsung (core prime, grand, grand neo, grand 2, lenovo k8 note, realme 2 pro, j2, j7 nxt, j7 2017, there are so many since we had nokia express music).
I know they are not flagship but whatever Android phone you get (sd 660) on my current and it feels slower than my brother's k8 note even it is faster

I have no intentions of feeling superior to other people, I just wanted to give my thoughts about wether the new SE is "perfect" or not for people who wouldn't even need half of its processing power. And yes, I have been using Android devices for almost 10 years now and so far I didn't regret buying a single one of them. I wouldn't call myself and "Android fanboy" though, but other than Android and IOS there are not really any other popular alternatives that I know about.

Bro honestly I’m happy about this new phone because everyone in my family has an iPhone but my grandpa and even my grandma has an iPhone X. And I’m only 14 so I don’t have much money but I think I can afford this if I save up.

Same! I'm actually considering this as well. I've been saving some money and it's going well so far. I'm considering this phone and the Samsung Galaxy A51 and the specs seem great for it to be at a great price. But I am considering this iPhone because the rest of my family has an iPhone and they all want me to get one so we can play iMessage games and FaceTime. The specs seem to be better on the Galaxy A51 so I'm not sure what to choose.
My grandma has the iPhone 7 so I thinking of upgrading her to the SE

I have the 6s and honestly this is an upgrade so idk why people are saying it isn’t. It have a lot of features the new phones has. And I can’t wait to get it.
Considering the price, it is a huge upgrade. PEOPLE need to remember that iPhone 6s was sold at like 799. The new SE is being sold at 399 and it's just like the iPhone 8. It's a good deal since it's as fast as the 11 pro.
My 6s is getting tired (had it since release day) I was holding out for the 12? But nah, I like the home button. I'm kinda going to miss (maybe?) the force touch (used that feature lots) but my wife has the 11 (7 before) and haptic is "ok". I don't need to spend more money on a phone to do my basic things. (spend the extra $50 for 128) The phone camera is fine, (I mean who needs "zoom out"?) and FFS... its only $400 ($450). Apple FTW on this one! Nice upgrade over the 8. Nobody should dog on this (except rich people).

I bought the iPhone SE for my mom in 2016 she used to have an iphone 4s and she always told me that she loved her iphone 4s (3.5inch) screen and she was doing fine with the 4" screen of the SE since then.... I think she'll love the upgrade!!
