Its personal preference. I personally like it because you're going to eventually have to face it head on. On touch id wet fingers dont work, greasy fingers dont work. Doesnt work in conductive gloves and so on. Its an overall trade off. Face id doesnt work with masks, and other larger face coverings.

The reason I don’t care for AirPods is the batter. The battery runs out fast and don’t last the whole day. Plus with earbuds connected to to the phone acts like a leash and helps prevent you loosing the phone.

Went from a 5s I had for 5yrs to the new SE and it’s pretty good. It has the A13 chip but still lags swiping up for the controls menu sadly. Even though it’s not much larger compared to the other current iphone’s it makes my 5s look pint sized especially the screen.
Watching this after part 2 just feels like a big joke.

No it's not. DId you see the video of the announcement of the SE2? He was quite convinced this was a great idea for part of the market. He released 2 videos together I'm sure you saw. This is the one where he talks about the good things in the SE. It's not sarcasm, it's just not complete. There are downsides, and those are in the other video.

Original SE user here. Just ordered the SE 2020 today, mainly because my original took a swim & the Touch ID no longer works, plus the battery isn't what it used to be. I love the form factor & was elated to hear the Touch ID was back with this device. Alas, since the original SE was a little too big for my small hands, I know I shouldn't ever try to interact with any phone one-handed, but I just like that it's still the size of a phone & not slightly smaller than the mini iPad (still have one of those, too.)
I have the 7 right now. Put many years on this phone. One of my main issues is when I’m out in the sun and the screen dims to the point I can’t see even when the brightness is at max. Will the SE have this same issue?

Great review, man. I've owned 3 iPhones. Could never afford the latest and greatest one. I had the 6 and then the 7 until a few days ago when I completely obliterated the screen. I need my phone for work, etc, so I had to get a phone asap. I ran to Walmart (I have Straight Talk service) and picked one of these up for $249 (!!!), and it blows the other 2 out of the water. No contest. The 7 had to have one of the worst batteries of any smartphone out there and one of the most disappointing cameras. It would be at like 40% by lunchtime. This battery is at least 2x better. The camera is light years ahead of the 7 as well.
