That is so true, I used to work at Verizon and still have tons of friends who still do and what we would see back 13 years ago and now is that the vast majority of people want a phone that is a reasonable price, works, a brand they know and trust, not the latest and greatest innovation/specs and so on. Honestly Apple releasing it now during this lockdown and hard economic time is beneficial for them because the price point is insane at full price or payments.

From how they actually got famous, by not caring about model but software and pricing, to now Samsung has kind of turned into Apple. I've always and still will hate the concept of ios tho. Need everything apple, that's just dumb.

Most people don't care about resolution or refresh rate or OLED, but the bezels are still super thick. I feel like the only people who will buy it are people with really small hands, or parents buying it for their youngest children.

Just curious, do people really care about that stuff? I've been using my 4 digit pin thing forever (I'm 33) and I haven't even felt the need for another login system. Just saying, some people don't look at these features the same way.
Jaigarful, I do care about it. I always see people looking over my parents phone and I have to constantly remind them to cover their phones. They have the finger print detection but they do so much outside work at times their fingertips are cut up and end up putting bandaids on then putting their pins cause their fingerprints are undetectable. I’m going to buy them the se. Most important thing to them is that they have an updated phone and can FaceTime their grandchildren. I’ll just buy them a screen privacy protector. ☺️

Wesley Yu, True, I had mine for over 3 years now and it only crashed on me like three times, I do not have an urgent need to swap my phone, but I just fancy the next one for the sake of A13 Bionic chip. I find that my old SE heats up ridiculously when I am running a bit more graphically demanding games (when travelling, I like using it with my Xbox controller) or even some simpler tasks when “multitasking” between apps.
Honestly I think this is part of the fun of being an apple user. I've had my SE for 3 years now and it still works very very well. It's almost comical to watch everyone else debate about new products and how good/bad it is while we just stand from the side line like "mm that's nice"

The home button with Touch ID is a huge selling point, as is the smaller size of the SE, because it enables easy one-hand operation. These factors are very important to me and probably millions of other middle aged or elderly people.
I'm looking to upgrade from my old LG G6 very soon, and the point you made about software updates is pretty much the entire reason I'm jumping ship from being with Android for almost 9 years to Apple. I'm tired of getting a phone that doesn't get updates after 2 years

I like the bezels as they give me something to hold onto without activating the touchscreen. I’m also a big fan of the fingerprint reader so I can use my phone flat on the table, and not have to lean over it to unlock it.

Wesley Yu, True, I had mine for over 3 years now and it only crashed on me like three times, I do not have an urgent need to swap my phone, but I just fancy the next one for the sake of A13 Bionic chip. I find that my old SE heats up ridiculously when I am running a bit more graphically demanding games (when travelling, I like using it with my Xbox controller) or even some simpler tasks when “multitasking” between apps.

Honestly I think this is part of the fun of being an apple user. I've had my SE for 3 years now and it still works very very well. It's almost comical to watch everyone else debate about new products and how good/bad it is while we just stand from the side line like "mm that's nice"

@@andiCNH it's 540$ here in India and majority of phone sold here are from 150-350$ at max I myself have a 200$ samsung and the budget phones here r not like in usa the market is totally diffrent like xiaomi is giving 1080p screens for 120$ while samsung A series phones don't give 1080p for 250$ so that's why samsung launched M series for India and I have that samsung m21 with 6000 mah battery oled display and 15 watt charging oh and it's 1080p
The home button with Touch ID is a huge selling point, as is the smaller size of the SE, because it enables easy one-hand operation. These factors are very important to me and probably millions of other middle aged or elderly people.

I like the bezels as they give me something to hold onto without activating the touchscreen. I’m also a big fan of the fingerprint reader so I can use my phone flat on the table, and not have to lean over it to unlock it.
Fun fact: This is the first video Marques has uploaded without an exclamation or question mark at the end of the title since the video titled "via Twitter for iPhone" which was uploaded on February 13th, 2019!
