They kept the character Gloria . But the family's last name was Justice not Bunker. The theme song in the second pilot was also its title: Those Were The Days (1969). The 1970-1971 aired pilot episode was All In The Family It used the same plotline from the original unaired pilot. A little trivia: of the three pilot episodes, Those Were The Days is the only one not to have the world All in its title. In case you're wondering, Tim McIntire played Richard in the original pilot and Gloria was played by Kelly Jean Peters.

      Yes and if you are going to expect for a man to allow you to live with him for four years, you humble yourself to him. Also dress real nice and not come with bad clothing as well as a not groomed beard. Yes Archie was a racist and yes he was ignorant but Meathead should of swallowed his pride until he got to know him better.

    • @Beeracuda922
      @Beeracuda922 Před 3 lety +6

      That was my first thought too. You're a guest in his house, being served dinner. You don't have to agree with Archie's opinions, but you have to respect his right to have them. Instead, Meathead becomes belligerent, condescending, and insulting, calling him "ignorant". Archie should've booted his ass out of the house immediately for that remark.

      Indeed. They had all the opportunities and are the most privileged generation that has ever lived. www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby_boomers. I'm a Millennial and they drive me crazy. My dad's a boomer and he got fired from his job back in the 80s and then waited until 3 years after he and mom finally divorced before getting another one, which he only worked for 5 years. Mom barely could support us and then was stupid enough to have 2 more kids when I was 6. I was an only child until then. Dad's now retired and collecting a pension.

After he, Gloria and Joey moved to California, they later divorced and Mike went to live on a commune with one of his students after he was fired from his teaching position.
