i've been lucky enough to see david copperfield 3 times. once in dallas when i was 14, once in ft worth when i was 18, and last novemeber in vegas. i became very i'll a few years ago, and had to learn to eat solid foods, speak, and walk. i was hospitalized for a year. my friend said when i got strong enough, he'd grant me a wish, and copperfield was it. i got to meet him, and told him my 2 favorite illusions were his version of houdini's metamorphosis, called the cocoon, and the fan. he grinned and said that i really knew his work. i grew up watching him on tv and couldn't be more excited to see him on tv again.

thank you! i have a picture taken with him, and he signed some b/w photos as well. my buddy and i were grouped with a few other people, and he did a trick with a poster with a silhouette of him featuring his vanishing plane ...he made the plane disappear on one poster and it appeared on another. he singled me out, signed it and handed me the poster with the plane on it and said "two words...E Bay", lol. he gave the poster with the plane vanished to another person. i recommend seeing his current show, it has a talking alien and a spaceship. this 44 yr old still feels like a child watching his magic idol. i think david vanishing the moon is great , it will inspire and introduce a whole new generation to magic and make the wonder and eventually learn the craft also i have noticed many people have lost their drive for magic so hopefully this will help that as well. Great video as always
