- The springtime of revolutions has arrived in Europe, and the House Torres dynasty is facing its greatest challenge yet! In the 7th part of our grand campaign roleplay series in Victoria 3, King Simon Torres of Sardinia must confront the rising tide of liberalism and radical ideologies sweeping across the continent.
As the 19th century draws to a close, monarchies are under siege from revolutionary forces. France, Germany, Britain, and many other great powers have embraced liberal or far-left governance, posing an existential threat to the old order. Across the Atlantic, the Americas have shed the shackles of colonialism and established independent nations.
Yet in Africa, the scramble for territory rages on, with European and Asian empires still vying for control. Amidst this global upheaval, civil war looms in Sardinia as radicals grow increasingly bold in their demands for reform and an end to the monarchy. A tragic event forces House Torres to reflect on the entrenchment of power and the lengths to which his opponents will go.
Will the House Torres dynasty adapt and survive, or will it be swept away by the revolutionary currents?

Sardina was once a tiny island in the Italian peninsula. After defeating the British Navy, it became the new naval power that would gain respect and recognition. This is a great episode, Mr. Hammurabae. Keep up the terrific work, and never give up. The Grand Campaign is streamed, so the edited episodes are quite far behind. It goes from Vic 3 to HoI 4 to Stellaris and is currently in the final parts of Stellaris. The next Grand Campaign will start in 476 (CK3 Fallen Eagle mod). That series will likely begin in autumn.
The next grand campaign is going to be a 476 start in england. I will say the one after I plan to do in the far east so something like that may be really likely.
Rly wondering how the buildup of WW1 is gonna be like, I think Sardinia should capitalize in their victories and annex northern Italy before the next big conflict breaks out

Yep! It was more of a test run for future stuff but came out so nice im going to use them more sooner than planned

Its being streamed currently still, about to start the final crisis. The streams for that are posted on my other long form channel linked on my page. The edited videos like this one for it will be coming after the end of Victoria 3 and HOI4. There are 3 more vic episodes after this and probably 3-4 HOI4 ones to go before Stellaris starts.

Anarchists have never historically been opposed to assassination, especially in this time period. William MicKinley, the President of France, the Spanish Prime Minister, the Austrian Empress, wife to Ferdinand, as well as the Portuguese King and Crown Prince were all executed by anarchists. Bombings were especially a favorite tactic. While these groups may have evolved differently in your timeline, 1898 was far before the major split of social democrats and socialists, before arguments in the 1910s these were interchangeable terms. Trade unionists also were far more radical, see the McNamara brothers and other bombings done by Unionists. While this alternate world may have developed in a different direction, I feel you are misconstruing how radical these groups were before concessions were given by the capitalists to the proletariat throughout the 20th century.
Ohh 100% in real life they were very radical and took extreme action during the equivalent years. My thinking was given the clear split that happened earlier with the different groups through events combined with how powerful they were in most of Europe and the world at this point it would be a bit different. They would have been certainly fighting for change in places like Sardinia or Castalla which remained entrenched in pure conservative capitalism but many other places were the dominant political force. You may still well be right they would still be very willing to take extreme action and the multiple bombings im this period including the death of Simon show that. But given context it seemed likely to me at least rp wise they would be less violent through such methods

If the U.S.A. is "United Sovreign Archduchy" then shouldn't their leader's title be "Archduke" rather than "Emperor"? Also are the "Free States of America" literally just Greenland?
It was a holdover from their time as an imperial colony of France. Lore wise the leader declared himself Emperor after the independence war but the nation retained the archduchy for historical reasons.
