    Korea is incredibly fun to play tall or wide. Just a GOATed country with some insane playability and mana generation. I usually prefer to maintain the balance of power during the literati events.

    Korea is my most played nation. Probably the easiest nation to play tall and pacifist. One fun thing is to max the defenses in the north and stack fort modifiers (i.e innovative, defensive instrastructure, religious ideas), due to all the modifiers, the terrain, tech advantage and development its easy to completely destroy Ming with attrition there even if they outnumber you 5 to 1.

  • @Jesus-jb6ho
    @Jesus-jb6ho Před měsícem

    Quick question about it. Mandate of Heaven missions used to give -10% dev cost when Vajranaya becomes harmonized with one of its mission, i've recently done a run with ming but couldn't see that modifier, did it get changed?

    I'm doing my best as Korea, but I feel like I .ay have screwed myself... I followed this guide to 1474 and have taken a tiny handful of provinces from the Manchus to my direct north, but now my allies hate me and have all banded together. If I try to push on into the second lot, I'm going to get mobbed. I can't wait it out either as I have a claim expiring soon. Add to that I'm struggling with money despite building markets and temples in my best provinces and I've not been able to embrace the renaissance yet...

    • @lookasetbella
      @lookasetbella  Před 7 dny +1

      It's weird. Korea has a lot of points that it can spend on the development of provinces for the first 25 years. This makes it virtually invincible to the Hordes.The Bot does not often use the Horde's advantages and lags behind in technology.

    • @Archris17
      @Archris17 Před 7 dny

      @@lookasetbella I took a chance in the north and somehow managed to win without a single land battle and only a couple of naval skirmishes where my heavy ships utterly dominated! I've embraced the renaissance and am waiting for the mingsplosion, but I don't know how I'm supposed to upgrade my provinces, core my conquests, advance my ideas AND stay ahead on technology all at once!
      I don't have Leviathan so I can't improve infrastructure to keep costs down, so I guess I just have to upgrade my advisors and sacrifice my treasury?

    Underrated is Australia with Korean culture. You get all the same shit korea gets except better dev cost modifiers in national ideas. I have been thinking what nation is best to culture switch to korean to to get their governament. Honestly however cursed... it may be japan as Japan gets a permanent dev cost reduction on their island and it's not hard to do.

    • @avakiin6614
      @avakiin6614 Před měsícem

      @@Zackary1005 No it doesn't. Most people who play "wide" also only focus on developing their home country, like in real life basically. Yes, playing tall can still mean conquering provinces, best example would be a "tall" Italy, but you're meant to just confine your borders within a specific geographical area.
      There is no specific number of provinces or what kind of provinces can be conquered for a "tall" playthrough, but whatever was done in the video was *clearly* not it.
