    ABOUT RAVENWOLF RETRO TECH
    RavenWolf Retro Tech brings you new vintage tech videos regularly. We love to restore and explore vintage technology and are also working on completing an assembly language RPG that I started making on the C64 in 1984.
    At RavenWolf Retro Tech we restore and explore vintage technology from Back in the Day! Now that we are moved into the new shop, the frequency of videos is increasing. I’ll keep putting out videos as I can, but I promise to focus on higher quality videos that don’t waste your time over frequent, low effort projects.

    I woke up with leaking caps sticking to my face and my pillow smells like fish

      Lol that would have made a good ending too, a new cap in place of a tooth!

    Getting those caps off that board is like pulling teeth!

    I saw Moe attempting to pull Curly's tooth using the open-close door method but the door knob flew off hitting curly in the head; maybe in the mouth and knocking his tooth out.

    I'm hoping this video gets a million views so it finally puts this long controversial topic to rest. Next video is the PROPER way to put thermal paste on a heat sink? #NooseMethodFTW ;)

    • @RavenWolfRetroTech
      @RavenWolfRetroTech  Před 4 měsíci +2

      I don't think I can afford enough thermal paste to fill the bucket on the tractor!🙄

    Ouch that gave me cap ache! Instead of removing the cap, you can just drill the decay out and fill it. You can also socket it so you can swap your caps around to suite the particular software you want to run.

      Great idea! Maybe even a framework of wire to keep all the caps upright and properly aligned?

    Just tried this method on my OG xbox and made $3.60 I wonder if you could use this method for other things? I'm going to try it with surface mount leds and nano wire!

    ROFL!!! I don't feel so bad you doing it to electronics than some kid haha; Electronics don't have feelings, just the people that designed them.

    I just remove the motherboard from the cap. Saves time cause you can get them all in one go.

    I think I see where this is going...
    The ole sore tooth removal.
    You should've done that with an A3000 board for a nice tidal wave of hate.

    • @RavenWolfRetroTech
      @RavenWolfRetroTech  Před 4 měsíci

      I was so cautious with a board that had corrosion barnacles on it. Had I used my 3000 board I would have been a wreck!
      BTW, the board, and its associated machine, went to someone the next day that is working on a restoration and needed some of the ICs so it is still bringing life to other machines!
