Great restoration so far and the way I like it! I absolutely love a challenge like that and you did an awesome job even if it is "beautiful garbage" on the screen as you say! Can't wait to see it working!

@RavenWolf Retro Tech It's amazing how many pins have rust. That PET has found a great owner. Congratulations on getting this far

you should desolder and solder 5-A4000 72pin simm sockets on a few hundred boards :) Loads of fun! I feel your pain! LOL Corroded boards like that are a royal pain. Nice job on the Pet! First rule of vintage repair parts always buy 2 of everything ;)

Heh, I dodged that bullet. When I did the 4000 I bought a set but did not end up needing them!

Good work, once again. I look forward to your next video about the PET. I also ordered the same video chips (2 pcs.), since I have a Commodore 8032-SK , unfortunately without the keyboard. I have two plans for the replacement of the keyboards, one is designing a PCB converter for a PS/2 and the other is a PCB for a Commodore 64 keyboard. :-)

Nice Simon! I am wondering if a VIC-20 keyboard would be easier to adapt since they used Pet keyboards in early VICs?

PLEASE no music! It doesn't need any. Now the music is even louder than what you're saying!

    • @RavenWolfRetroTech

Will, I will work on making the music less intrusive when it needs to be there (There are times it is needed). I only use it when I feel it is necessary but I admit this one regressed a bit because its my first use of music in the new editing software I am using. I need to figure out how to damp the music in the frequencies that my voice is in and it will sound MUCH better.
