Love Ryan Holiday, what a great Podcast. Really interesting to hear Tom delve a little more into his own career and own mindset. Tom’s comedic/career rise over the last 10/15 years has been crazy and really readily available to witness through specials and CZcams. And there has been the odd mention on other episodes that reference his drive - I find it super intriguing, it’d be so interesting to hear more insights from him,

I’ve read all of Ryan Holiday’s Stoic books and I would share the stories with my husband. He’d tell me I was boring and roll his eyes. Recently he told me he’s been reading this fascinating FB recommendation called the Daily Stoic. 🙄. Lol, I’m just glad he’s getting the motivation. Love Mr. holiday!

When my grandma was young she immigrated from Mexico to Texas and catered for Lyndon for several years until JFK got blasted. When she went to pay for an English education she found out LBJ covered the cost 100% so I am grateful for him that he was messin wit my mexicans or I wouldn't be here today

This is a great crossover of my interests. I love that Ryan Holiday is bringing Stoicism to everyone. It's a wonderful philosophy to live your life by. I feel stronger and more at peace since I've been studying it.

I've been reading The Daily Stoic for years now. My copy was given to me from a therapist, when I was in rehab. The book has been extreamly helpful throughout my sobriety.
This conversation is a goldmine, love it! Especially the part around 1:21:20 about creating your art, and how you can have good or even great ideas but that doesn't mean they will "sell" themselves and you need background work and consistency to improve your work and build a platform. Thank you!

It’s powerful to take the purposeful action to look at philosophy for your own mental by taking things from art or media. But that’s why the arts are so important. In fact we can see this philosophy as a person interpreting the cumulative truth that a lot of believe to be true about stoicism being discipline without the pain.
