1. you can't 'copyright' a name.
2. There is no record of a trademark
3. Registering a domain name with Lillibet in it (if they did that, again there is no website) isn't copyrighting the name. But it does protect them in case someone buys the domain name and turns it into a porn site or something really horrible.) I don't blame them if they did do that, but again the newspapers said they had 'copyrighted' the name, which you can't do. That's bad journalism whichever way you look at it.

Knew instantly they announced the name that Mega had deliberately did this to cause Her Majesty deep and terrible hurt. Everyone could see from photos that Harry's wife hated the Queen, she hated curtsying to her, she hated that she wasn't allowed to change the way the monarchy functioned, she hated being told "no".
She believed and still does that she's the best ever thing that has happened to the world, and everyone needs to worship her and obey her.
At the time she registered it I never would have know it was Queen's nickname. Only after baby was born it was told it was Queen's nic name. megsy pulled a fast one over our heads.

These stories are 2 + years too late. We all knew about her trademarking her alleged kids names. There are some good investigative ytubers who dug out all this and much more. Glad it's finally hitting the headlines but it won't have the same impact as the desperate duos initial pr bombs. Still think Hawwy was the Queens favourite? What King Charles should do now is to immediately remove the prince & princess titles from Harry & Meghan's children. Queen Margrethe did it and so did King Gustav, and the same rule holds for the Spanish royal house. Those titles only go to the future King/Queen's children. If I remember correctly, the Queen had to give special permission for Andrew's children to carry to be called 'princesses'.
