I have not seen my daughter for 16 years. Her children are 10 and 12. I have never met them either. My daughter did not want to see me or her sister again, so, i had to let her go and let her find herself. I hear she is doing well with her family. Sometimes you have to let them go so they can do just that and hope one day they may want to reconnect, but if not, at least i know she has the life she wants. May God bless King Charles and bring him peace as his son sorts through his life. My daughter likec to say things for the 'shock factor' to me, but once i ignored it and turned away, she began to seek help for herself. I apologized as she wanted me to but eventually i did not know what i was apologizing for. Let him go, go on with your life and heal. As parents we do the best we can with what we know and with what help is/was available at the time. Times have changed...
I have a daughter who's 42 years old, and she has purposely not let me know my two grandchildren. It's her way of trying to punish me for not being the perfect parent, though I was a very good mother to her. She's got some unresolved issues that she keeps trying to punish me for. She has kept my 25 year old grandson from having a relationship with me, and she also has a second child who is 7 years old, I have not been allowed a relationship with her either. It was hurtful for years, but I have chosen to not dwell on this reality, I remain focused on my own life, and enjoying life. The King is not sitting around missing children that he doesn't even know.
Hi Valerie, 14 years here! He just left the country, eventually met and married and now has a 4 year daughter. He has just now tried to reconnect with me. Not sure where things are heading, wants me to travel from Oz to the UK but I feel it would be too much for me as I have health's problems now. I have an operation coming up but other health concerns...travelling alone overseas for the first time frightens me at 75. The daughter is 5 in July and I still don't have an address to post her gift. I don't think we are alone Valerie and I wish you all the best. Love from Oz x
@OnMaui007 So sorry to hear. I have had moments of sadness but have been trying to get on with my life. I just hoped my son was happy. Since having his child, my only grandchild, he says he now understands more. I was divorced and raised two boys alone. I did my best. The son living in this country, keeps an eye on me, does a lot for me, cooks meals often, takes me to doctors appointments, the hospital, grocery shopping. I wish you the best. Love from Oz x
@@user370Z yes, we are not alone. It is sad, but I believe my daughter knows I love her and respect her decision. There was nothing I could do to help her sort out her life. Sometime you have to 'let go and let God'. I have thought about her every day and left her in God's hands. I truly believe she is better for it. I pray for you and your son, that in whatever communications you have, you will be brought closer together in love 🥰

He did not ill treat her as far as most of us have heard.

So many young women suffer atrocious abuse from their fathers.
It stays with them for a lifetime - Meghan had the opposite.
Ask many abused women which father they would have loved having in their lives?
Meghan’s mother gets treated royally yet neglected, & abandoned her, for 10 years.
If my mother had done that to me I would have a very hard time forgiving her the abandonment & neglect.
It would be a very trying relationship to be in.
That would always be there in the background & very difficult to overcome the pain.
Her father posed for some paparazzi shots - so what.

Long before she got involved with Harry it was known she called them up & begged them to photograph her & she desperately wanted to appear as a newsworthy person.
What an absolute hypocrite.
I think there is something else that Meghan is hiding & that is why she has cut her father & family off.
Her stories will be found to be very different to what she has portrayed & made Harry believe.
How all of this got the Green Light from the Royal family & how Harry never questioned Meghan’s background will always remain utterly perplexing.
Why was she hunting for a British husband & not an American one?
The cultures & mentality are so different from each other.
There would be so many differences & difficulties to deal with.
Never mind marrying into a Royal family.

She assumed British men are less street wise and savvy to her type and therefore easier prey, they have a historical penchant for American women is my educated guess. imo

IMO she told Harry and the Royal Family a lot of mistruth’s about her background. Her TIG blog had stories about living with her Dad, about their close relationship etc. She was scared he would inadvertently expose her ‘mistruths’ and so kept him from meeting Harry. The photographer who set her father up for the ‘fake’ photos of him being measured for a suit etc has worked with Meghan in the past and since. I think she arranged for her dad to be set up so that he wouldn’t attend the wedding. The very last thing she wanted was anyone who knew her in her past life meeting Harry or the Royal Family, which is why only her mother was invited along with celebrity friends. No other relatives or ‘old pals’. Very odd behaviour
"We don't know the full story" is a very fair point. However, we do know Thomas Markle's other children are still in contact with him in normal relationships. We know the royal family are all close to each other. So the dysfunctional common denominators in the middle of the sh*t-show are Hazbeen & Methane. Everyone else is just fine.
But Thomas Markle has NEVER met 3 of his other grandchildren who are older now!!!
Tomas Markke wasn’t good enough for Harry. Tomas brought Meghan up when her mother was nowhere to be seen. Which is why she knew men could wash the dishes aswell because she saw her dad do all those types of jobs. Her mother comes back on the seen and dad is no use to her anymore.

If my Grandfather was the King and I grew up never knowing him, I would be furious. To imagine missing out on the relatives, the culture, the castles, the experience of being royal...I'd never speak to my parents again.

I had a difficult relationship with my father, and when I became an adult my father and I drifted apart. We did not enjoy each other’s company. I would drop my daughter off for visits with him, and always welcome him into our home to visit his granddaughter. Adults need to suck it up and act in the best interest of the child. In my case, that meant providing my daughter with the opportunity to know her grandfather and decide for herself if she wanted to maintain a relationship with him when she is an adult. Unless there is a concern about safety, it is just wrong to deny your children their extended family.
