Harry was the grandson of the monarch at the time of his filing. Why should Harry have preferential treatment when Eugenie, Princess Anne and Beatrice do not get arm security 24/7. Now he is the son of a monarch. But what when he is just the brother of a monarch. I do not know if UK taxpayers can afford all this arm protection for someone who lives in California and not a working royal. When he does come to the UK for private business he will be protected on a case by case basis and will always be given arm protection to attend royal events. Just recently Harry refused to stay in King James palace which has armed guards around the clock to stay in a London hotel with anyone from the public can book a room.
