@@NamiZu00 It references an 18th century english folk song called “Yankee Doodle” which originally was made to make fun of american colonists but over the years for some reason it’s become a popular silly patriotic song in the US. The lyrics are:
“Yankee Doodle went to town
Riding on a pony, Stuck a feather in his cap
And called it macaroni.”
Dorian references it by at the beginning of the song saying “look at me riding a pony” and then again saying that line “feather in my cap, call it macaroni”
Also the term “macaroni” isn’t refering to the food but it was an old brittish slang word, usually an insult, meaning a man who dressed so fancy they looked silly, or just a fashionable effeminate man. So the original song is mocking an american colonist who thinks putting a feather in his hat makes him look fashionable, and he’s riding on a little pony not a horse. Dorian is playing a ridiculous overconfident character in this song calling people “phonies” so referencing the song yankee doodle made me laugh🤣 there’s definetely more history behind that song and all that but there is a summary for you. hope it helped!!❤️

Love this album so much. sonically so exciting and lyrically so hilarious and interesting! Dorian, your voice comes through so good on these tracks too! I absolutely love the bit at 1:19 in this track. Very Hypnotize SOAD coded. It's amaziing.

First song I heard and quite frankly the only one that stands out, the rest of it, although they have interesting aspects, instruments and vocalization, they don't quite get to the point, too much experimenting and not enough driving substance. In this song the drive is the amazing bass line and melodic vocalization, which gives it the playful nature that will no doubt bring more attention soon. My recommendation as a musician would be to play it live with a real band and let the bassist do his thing, a song with strong character needs a strong lead rather than a dance number nobody really cares about. The performance of this song, if done correctly, will put you on the radar! I sincerely hope this feedback helps you shape the next album into something awesome, keep it up!
