Also, it DID happen. Both did go to Albania, bought up all the ammo they can lay their hands on despite knowing the Chinese weapons embargo the US had since Tiananmen and resold it after repackaging it to the US and sent it towards Afghanistan.
Also, fun fact: The actress that acted as Iz, Ana de Armas, was a Cuban who can't speak a lick of English when she got the role and she learnt everything prior to even being in the show. She practiced English for 6 months consistently and became pretty flawless when it comes to English when the movie started production.

I used to hang out with David when I lived in Miami. We were both in the local music scene there.
He came over to my apartment a few times to play music and chill and always tried to explain me what he did but I wouldn’t fully understand until the movie came out, and I was like whaaaatt??? 😄

I remember sometimes texting him to hang out and he’d say that he wasn’t allowed to leave the house 😄
I moved out of Miami but we still message each other once in a blue moon.

US has been involved in that conflict since 1970's.

There are many articles on subject: the story is basically two guys not even in their mid twenties with no expertise winning government arm contracts and that's crazy enough, but all their adventures "in the field" basically never happened, it was all white collar stuff.
