    You got clean Beet soup. You like Pierogi. Try beetroot soup with Uszka (little Ears). Little dumplings with mushrooms, shaped like ear with to ends joined together, intended to be soaked in beet soup. This is one of a traditional dish for Christmas.
    The best Zapiekanki in Kraków are on Sienna street, between Main Square and Little Square.
    There is also Kumpir. Huge frayed(?) potato, cut and mushed and filled with stuffing.

    Oscypek, Pierogi and Barszcz were the food of the poor for hundred of years, finally its being recognised for what it is, simple, but phenomenal food!
    It`s sustained millions of people for centuries through wars, natural disasters, even a Nazi invasion, it`s made Poland the country it is today.

You could see Przemyśl and other cities ;) and I showed my mommy your videos and she said "such a lovely couple, they can come to us, I will make some pierogi, krokiety, placki ziemniaczane, żurek (1 hours later🤣) for them. You are the dream tourists who like every food they eat and don't complain ! The addiction to pierogi can continue in the UK as I know that Sainsbury's and Tesco sell pierogi in a pack in the fridge section. And please do visit a Polish shop in the UK as there is plenty more to explore and taste.This is only a begining of your Polish journey and will have a deep impact on your future lives. All the best and please do come back, perhaps visiting Wang church - best in the summer to admire great garden around it too.

    • @aleksandrap.9192
      @aleksandrap.9192 Před 6 lety

      Oh yes, the mountains are fabulous. Of course Tatry are the most popular ones and they are worth visiting for their natural beauty as well as folk architecure and culture. Yet the most popular places there tend to be overcrowded recently. There are mountains called Sudety on south west of Poland and I really recommend going there. They are not as high as Tatry but more diverse. For example Góry Stołowe (part of Sudety): very unique mountains with flat peaks. Spectacular. Besides, they (Sudety I mean) are very rich in architectural treasures such as castles and palaces (zamek Książ!). Historically much more interesting than Tatry. I am not saying Tatry are overrated, only that there are more equally beautiful places worth knowing. I hope you'll see some of them:)
