Hey friends ! My favourite time of the year is autumn - for photography for travelling and for overall aesthetics. Hope you enjoy the video and it will be joined by another very soon 😎
do the same thing with the medieval places in the world, it is in Morocco in Fez that you will find the most important medieval city in the world with walls, caravanserai, hammam, watchtower, walkways chemins de ronde, old hydraulic clock, fortress, mill and water wheel (unesco)
Would also definitely include Edinburgh and Mont Saint-Michel!
Edinburgh is barely medieval… more Georgian.
@@paulkenneally789 Edinburgh is half and half; it has an old town dating from the 11th century to the 17th century (medieval), and a new town dating from the 18th to 20th century (Georgian). Yes, compared to rest of the city, the medieval part is small, but that is just how big the city was during medieval times, and it is a very good medieval part!
And what would you throw out for that if you now want to limit the list to 12?
This video is amazing, thank you Hal for all your incredible work and dedication to history and travel, great job, keep it up, you are helping people see and appreciate these wonders.
York was my favorite spot in England. Tallinn my favorite from Northern europe. Bruges my favorite in Central europe. Dubrovnik and Rothenburg, magnificent
Check out Locronan in France, 15th century town that hasn't change since then. Really woth visiting
Your videos are enchanting and amazing. Love this one.
You should make another video with all the places and countries that are missing here.
Where is " Mont Saint Michel " France, where're Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and lots more?
I will
Thanks for the suggestions, finally I will get to see Sighisoara by the end of the year!
I love the diversity of your videos and they would be even better if the music was a little milder. The transitions are sometimes a little harsh between the songs.
Mediaeval
Enjoy and keep enjoying everything whatever comes in your Life 🧬🧬🧬🧬. I pray for all of you.
Your videos are always so inspirational😍😍😍
Thank you for this content! I've pinned a couple of places I'm thinking to visit.... Some suggestions: Torun in Poland is pretty good too, lots of cities and town in Italy are worth discovering too, I hope you do more videos!
Amazing! Thanks 😊!
Just visited carcassone and can highly recommend
Beautiful. Want to visit some oneday…. Great information.
thank you so much for your present, I am enjoying all of them , but i wasn't saw one city from italy
I recommendet San Gimignano in italy
As a luxembourger i was happy to see vianden in this list. (Even though many people don’t know that until 1264 the county of vianden was a big rival to the county of luxembourg, the archnemesis so to say. Only after 1264 vianden became a part of luxembourg)
I would add Glurns/Glorenza to the list. It is located in South Tyrol, the German speaking part of Italy, close to Switzerland and Austria. It is extremely tiny and has a beautiful medieval city centre and perfectly preserved city walls. Also, Churburg castle is very close by.
I lived in France for awhile. I visited a museum (midevil) castle. The spirit's of people from midevil times are there. They let you know that you are not wanted there.
Tossa de Mar, Spain. Girona, Spain. Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany
Great video. That said I feel like an opportunity was missed by not including Valletta, Malta. I would highly recommend it.
Yes!! And Mdina! The old capital.
Wieder ein ein wunderbares Viedo danke! (Einziger Hinweis: für die Übergänge könntest Du etwas Künstlerisches finden, d.h. den Übergängen von Bild und Musik, - eine kleine Herausforderung also :-)
Lovely, with superb photography too - but no mention of one of the most awe-inspiring cathedrals in the world, York Minster?
Some great choices, but I am sad that Spain was neglected.
There will be more in this series so I didn’t want to put everything in one video
Granada, Istanbul, Gouda, Riquewir, mont st Michel, Florence, Krakow.
I was surprised by the vast size of Rhodes old town, it's nice to combine seaside holiday and medieval interest
Rhodes and the Grand Master’s palace defenetly worth a visit if you are looking for this mediveal knight thingy. The old town is also a living city not just a museum. Not the first place that would cross anyone`s mind talking about mediveal Europe as it is situated in Greece. I also like Tallin and Stockholm old town as they are not overwhelmingly crowded and still living cities.
I'd love to see Europe again. Never been to Italy and would love to go.
I would add Trujillo, Besalú, Toledo or Segovia
Burgh Eltz needs to be on here too! Lovely castle in Germany and it's on the cover shot for this video!
What a fantastic. I love the content of this video which is packed with beautiful castles.😀👍👍
I think that Czech Republic should be including in your video ❤
Absolutely. All the German Maerchen (fairy tales) are filmed there.
there is the capital, Prague :)
Cesky Krumlov deserves a place on some future video.
Basically, everywhere the germans went, the cities are beautiful.
except cities they destroyed 🤣
@@Pidalin says the mad czech guy who has to associate everything with the second world war because he apparently hates Germans
@@tyrnei6877 I didn't say I hate Germans, it was just a joke, you must be German. 🙂
@@Pidalin i'm not. but what a funny joke to joke about the destruction of war. Haha.
@@tyrnei6877 Some nations just don't have sense for this type of humor, I always forget about that when I am on English written internet. It's a historical thing for us, we have been always occupied by a bigger nation and we could do nothing with that, we at least joked about that.
I love the music in these videos. But in this one I really missed Kilkenny, the medieval capital of Ireland..
Salzburg, Austria. Great medieval castle Hohensalzburg
Lifestyle Hal do the same thing with the medieval places in the world, it is in Morocco in Fez that you will find the most important medieval city in the world with walls, caravanserai, hammam, watchtower, walkways chemins de ronde, old hydraulic clock, fortress, mill and water wheel (unesco)
I really really really recommend Gruyeres in Switzerland !!!!
Hey Hal, nice video. Why are you biased for Quedlinburg? I moved to Helmstedt a couple of years ago which is just under an hour from Quedlingburg. I was actually planning on going there in a couple of weeks when my mum comes to visit, any recommendations?
Don't worry about it
Amazing Content but I think you have not visited Switzerland Yet! Switzerland is a very Beautiful Place to Visit.
But I have
Europe‘s medieval cities are just too many to be reduced to a shortlist of 12,,,
For medieval cities I would like to heartily recommend Albarracín and Cáceres in Spain.
Was just in Albarracín this summer. Beautiful place.
You know what I would love to see, is a revival of people who have a great amount of abundance to take the blueprints of some of these magnificent castles and build them once again however, not with traditional building supplies, but with healthy nontoxic supplies
It dawned on me to think that even back, then our ancient ancestors would never have allowed their fellow man or woman or child for that matter to run the streets without shelter or food?
I wonder why humanity hasn’t preserved that level of civilize being because our current civilization is anything but civilized we’re all out for ourselves, and the downtrodden are invisible to us if not an eyesore.
Majesty is more than what we erect it is who we are at our court, when no one else is watching
Banska Štiavnica in Slovák rep is amazing
What about all the beautiful places, castles and palaces in Spain?
You forgot about Polish 🇵🇱 castle in Malborg. It’t the biggest brick castle in entire Europe going back to 14th century.
Nidaros Cathedral in Norway is very underrated in my opinion
I am suprised that you haven’t a single city from Italy. They have probably up to 100 cities that can compete with those you have in the list. For example Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Orvieto, Assisi, Perugia, Pitigliano, Urbino, Lucca, Ferrara …
Chernivtsi, in Ukraine. Is such a beauty. There’s National University that used to be a residence on Metripolites. It’s often referred as Ukrainian Hogwarts.
it was a nice idea to miss one of the biggest medieval cities in Europe, capital of biggest state in a whole Europe
Thank you
Hochosterwitz in Austria is missing
#RIBE😁😁😁
I can agree with a few, but where is Teutonic Malbork Castle? Biggest in the world by square meteres of the area btw...
Great video, slightly spoiled by the unnecessary speeded up bits.
There are thousands places like these.
You left out Italy !
Maybe on the next one
Malbork castle?
Dubrovnik Old town should be here.
Nice! Your videos should be seen by more watchers. Can I repost your channel without changing anything on the clean platform named Ganjing World? Thank you!
No thank you
No problem, I understand.
Thank you for your reply. Have a good day.
All the best,
Daniel
rethymno in greece!
Romania !!!!
Instead of Örebro in Sweden you should have chosen Visby
You forgot Slovakia, for example Kosice. 😊
it doesnt have any medieval architecture, literally just one church :D ?? why would it be included
You forgot Visby.
Nice. But you concentrated on towns and cities only. There are beautiful isolated gems too, such as the castle of Bonaguil (pronounced "bonagheel") in France, for instance: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Château_de_Bonaguil
Put some material for Albania 🎉
I have an Albania video
@@LifestyleHal thanks sir ✋🏼🙏🏻🦅
The medieval period is from 5th century to 15th century, not sure all these places belongs to this period
Please do not rush the pictures!!!!! Can’t watch this.
Yanger generations are not able to watch or listen anything longer than 3 seconds 🙄
Venice. I am sorry)
No reason for the Ebglish to burn Koeln am rhein

sighisoara real name is Schaessburg (German) since it was built by Germans (deutschland schafft sich ab)
No
Where are medieval towns in this video? Riga, Prague...? I don't understand this video, sorry.
This video isn’t geared towards your opinion only so if you don’t understand - here’s an idea -- make a video
england is britania not europe !!!
