Every time I watch a video of yours you are figuring out how to master a new skill/product/etc. You're a goddamn wizard with everything 👏 Stoked to see some graphics for the KLX.
Thanks man, my goal is to perfect or at least understand as much of this industry as possible
I really do appreciate all the behind the scenes stuff that you do manage to get footage of. The table thing and the why behind it was extremely helpful. It’s incredible how much gate keeping is in the printer/sticker industry.
Glad to help out!
Awesome to see the collision of where this channel started, with riding and motorcycle content, and where it is now with the high quality print and design work that seems to grow with each video! Also kinda forgot about Yammienoob; seems like he's recovered well and really evolved his chanel as well since his accident. I'll be over here building a 690 kit inspiration folder because my comment from the cutter video still stands.
Thanks a lot man. I have templates for the 690 so we'll be ready to do that bike soon!
Thanks for more content on the Roland you nailed it yet again !! I get great inspiration from your videos so thank you, I rewatched your learning to screen print vids this week with the mrs and she is hooked on your channel now too 👍
I love how you still manage to pickup the camera and explain an issue in real time. I have a bad habit of getting frustrated and working through a problem off camera and the video flow suffers because I’ve jumped many steps off camera.
If I don't do it right away I'll forget about the camera all together haha
Man your work ethic really impresses me. You're always doing something new and taking your company to the next level. Great job!!! 👍
Thanks man. I wanna build this thing into something great
Really enjoy following your work and can relate a lot! I've been in the industry fpr 15 years now, running my own shop for 3 years.
Have the same issues with my exact Summa cutter, the tables arent a bad idea at all! Wish there were setting to lift the knife higher between the cuts so that scaring wouldnt happen.
You're such an inspiration and it's so awesome to see someone else then me putting effort into details wanting to push out stuff as good as they can possibly be.
Thanks to you I might possibly start screenprinting to, i've been interested in it for at least 10 years but never gotten around to try it.
My business is mainly focused on sign making, decor, wraps etc. Having a Large CNC, CO2, Fiber and UV lasers, a smaller UV printer, sublimation etc.
Worked with clothing a lot like 7 years ago at my old work, this summer tho im bringing clothing into my shop as well.
Keep on pushing mate!
Again, amazing content. The inclusion and explanation of the mistakes is eye opening to things that can and will go wrong. As for the making of a kit for your bike, hell yeah we want to see it.
YAASSS Finally!!!! Been anxiously waiting for a new video! Thankyou! 😍😍
Thanks for watching
Great video, Lee! Nice job! Enjoying every new content from you.
Thanks!
As always Lee nice video thanks for sharing, what a great job !!! Cant wait to see that 110 pimped :D
Thanks man
You kicked ass with this one. You really take pride in your work and the results are amazing.
I appreciate that dude 👊🏻
Dude! Absolutely love your content and your shop set up. Killing it!
I appreciate it man!
Like always, you’re the man and always dig your content. Keep up the good work and setting the standards high 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thanks a lot dude 🤘🏻
@@leestuart38 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Love this channel! Wins and losses shown! Down to earth content! Inspires me
Thank u
Thanks a lot!
Great video as always, watching your vlog really inspire me in Aaron Draplin levels.
And yeah actually working with thick lamination is much easier and you guys with the roll laminators may not notice easy but in the 2 sheet lamination hell that I am right now is easy noticeable. I hope to get a roll laminator soon.
Thanks a lot man, he's a big influence of mine 👊🏻
Yooooo!!!! Yes! First video I've watched of yours, reading through the comments has made me sub instantly!
Hell yes!
I am glad I’m here! Incredible work! And Shadetree sent me up! Thanks for having me. Your work is incredible
Thanks a lot for checking it out man!
AWESOME video... I wish more people had your work ethic!
I appreciate that!
All about that "eating Ramen for a while", lifestyle! Stay Humble.. We Grind In Unity!
Thanks for sharing your struggles and being real AF.
That's what it's all about, thanks for watching 🤘🏻
And nailing it on the first try is how you know your a true artisan and craftsman. As always amazing g work and amazing attention to detail.
Much appreciated 👊🏻
@@leestuart38 no problem bro. Your work speaks for itself and your attention to detail and quality of work and video is top notch.
Spectacular bro!
Hey just want to thank you. your videos are super inspirational and have inspired me to join the clothing business so I’m starting small heat press and hat press.
Super cool to hear that man 🤘🏻. Thanks for watching
good shit Lee! Definitely want to see the 110 kit!!
Can't wait to work on that one
Sick project!
What a great channel. Awesome content, well delivered.
Thanks so much!
This uncle 1 is great, it inspires us even more to work. warm greetings & healthy greetings. From Indonesia
I feel your pain, we opted to break the printed pieces in smaller pieces. We also got all the scratches in the prints, that thick laminate is a special SOB beast. Love SUBSTANCE, great vid's. keep it up!
That was a stupid mistake that I won't make again haha. Can't wait to make more of these, thanks man!
@@leestuart38 Hey we all gotta learn and I learned I don't wanna do that anymore HAHA...
Hey Lee,
Add a couple of extra pinch rollers to your setup (should be available from Summa) that'll help keep the material flat and prevent surface scratching. That's what I do for my kart graphics :)
Great vid, cheers!
Just love your work ethic and enthusiasm, as a fellow designer who deisgn and also prints his work on several media. I can fully relate with the excitement before printing, nail biting moments as the print is coming out, hoping and wishing you didn't fucked it up or by the printer and finally seeing the whole thing.
By the way, do make a video on how you correct your profiles, as I think its one of the most frustrating thing to get stuck at. In my experience most of the times profiles provided doesnt work well in particular for Red, Greens and at times greys. Love your work.
Thanks a lot! I'll probably do something on that topic once I understand it a bit better, right now I mostly do trial and error until it looks right
I love the Corsair 280X! I built in one once and that PC turned out to be one of the coolest I've built out of a couple dozen I've built over the years. Get that shiz up off tha ground!
Awesome 😎 congratulations 🎈 your work is the best
Thank you 🤘🏻
Liked before the fifth second! Dude, that must have been painful to re-do all the pieces, considering the size/price of the vinyl and laminate. But it's a learning process, the end result looked incredible! Interesting about the different profile settings, your custom one was a holy shit moment, reds be poppin'! 🔥 Looking forward to seeing more!
I foresee a lot more messed up material in my future, this stuff isn't easy to work with. But that's how it'll get dialed in 🤘🏻
Love the videos! You should make a video on how you make custom profiles. Love the vinyl print content just bought an Epson s60600 loving it so far.
Nice! I'm looking at upgrading to an S80600L possibly now that I'm in my new space
Just love your content man.
Thank you!
You are the best. Keep doing the good work.
Thank you!
Sick! May have to get some bike graphics done, gotta support Canadian 🇨🇦
Hell ya 🤘🏻
Liked for the Sylosis shirt. Good job bro.
Sylosis rules 🤘🏻. Thanks!
Love the content. Haven’t missed a video since you began setting up your shop. It’s probably not important enough for you to do an entire video on , but when you mentioned the need to wait for the prints to off gas, was wondering if you have any tips worth sharing on safety. I know prolonged exposure to the solvents used in printing can lead to some very negative health effects so any tips you can share would be greatly appreciated.
Things are much different now with eco solvent inks, they have a very low VOC. I can print all day and not really even smell it. Not really much to worry about unless you've got a really small and poorly ventilated area.
Helpful video about printing and wrapping bike graphics.
What about telling more about those relief cuts on that rear graphic? I have been having trouble with those curvy shapes also.
I might have to cover more of that stuff later on, I plan on learning to make my own templates to avoid those bad ones
Awesome video and channel! You guys should definitely get into the bike graphics game, probably start with smc r’s 😉
Hell yeah, the 110 needs some camera time. Would love to see the process, and hopefully see you bring graphics to market with your twist.
Definitely plan on bringing a lot to market in the next few months. I'll go more in depth on the 110 design process I think
Video was great! But, for future projects involving fuel tanks, make sure you add small relief cuts everywhere on that specific piece. They will bubble up from the fuel, so adding these small relief cuts everywhere helps to combat that! Go ahead and take a piece and stick it on a plastic gas tank and let it sit for a while, you will see what I mean! Graphics came out sick! Would love to see more MX/SM kits!
The DRZ-SM has a metal fuel tank which doesn't offgas like a plastic tank does, so no need for relief cuts
Hey Man! solid video, love the channel, Could you let me know how many passes and pressure your using, I have a summa aswel.
Very nice man. Looking for a good beginning friendly moto grphic printer tht wont brake the bank. As well as makin hoodies and tees. Any suggestions on where to start ?
Amazing work! Trial and error brings perfection. Would love to have a custom graphic wrap for my 2022 KTM RC 390. I have a kit that I ordered off eBay, which I will be installing when Spring gets here, but having a unique kit would be amazing. I imagine it's pretty expensive?
Hej Lee! Great work you are doing! Where did you get finally the relief cut template from? Thanks and Cheers from Switzerland!
Awesome video mate.
What blade and offset you use ?
Where did you get the templates ?
nice clip 👌
Looking to upgrade from my D140 to the T 140 for cutting the 21mil thick vinyl/lame. What is your pressure setting? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
What program do you use to design the graphics and where do you get the templates at?
How do you get the correct template and stencils to print it correctly? I want to make frame and plastic grip tape and the only way i know how to do it is to trace and cut everything by hand. Would definitely like to just buy a vinyl machine to do the work for me that way i can have multiple kits ready at once and wont be as time consuming
Hey bud, I just bought a Roland TR2 VG-540 and wanted to say I appreciate your content a lot. Would love to hear more of the sciencey stuff cuz that shit gets me hard okay thanks bye!
Also no shade but I love watching your mistakes cuz its like the only way I ever learn anything.
Mistakes are the best way to learn. I'll always show those when they happen
Yay a video. I thought we lost you to pc gaming lol. It stills me all the time lol
Elder scrolls does suck me in from time to time 🤷🏻♂️
Is there any smaller graphic printers like this for someone who just starting and dont have all that kind of money? I want to print graphic multi color not single color
Bad ass!
Bad ass work. How can I get ahold of you for a custom decal kit I need for a project I'm working on?
I am thinking about getting a Summa S2, but is it possible to perf-cut the Ultracurve 1500? Thanks!✌🏽
I learned a ton from your mistakes, thanks for sharing. Also where did you get the correct template?
Glad to hear. I actually got 3 templates and took the best pieces of each to make one good one. I also reworked them a lot
Need to see that video bro .. sick video...#GMONSTAS
Welcome to bike graphics! They will definitely make you pull your hair out at times :P
Good thing I have none
What equipement do you have to print/laminate/cut these? Thanks!
Man, your prints come out looking so much better than mine! I have an Epson S50675 and, while it's made me a decent amount of money in the sign business over the past couple of years, the quality is just not at a level where I can do cool stuff like this and feel good about showing it off. I'm one payment away from paying off my 363TH, but my next investment will be a new plotter - was looking at the FC-9000, but might possibly get the Summa after watching your video. I also need a van 😭 THEN I'll be looking for a new printer. God I love being a business owner (no sarcasm)
Stay away from Summa. I have a video to make on that topic and how bad their support is when things go wrong. I just bought a Graphtec FC-9000 to replace my Summa.
@@leestuart38 Sheesh, I'll have to check out your video. Thanks.
fire!!!!
Thanks 👊🏻
can you show when you take it from an eps file in adobe illustrator to how you print and then how you make it ready fro cutting?
@leestuart38 how do you go about getting the template for new bikes?
How do you get templates?? I would love to start making graphics and just not sure where to get templates for bikes
Love your transparency working on these projects! I go through the same things!
Templates seem to always be hit in miss, where was the template you got the accurate one from?
Templates are a huge pain in the ass. I pieced this bike together from 3 different ones and did a lot of fixing. It's still not amazing, I'd like a little more time with this one to really dial it in
where do you get these kinds of templates? Thanks
Where are you getting the fairing templates for Adobe please? Thanks
IF WE DONT MAKE MISTAKES WE NEVER GROW UP
I want to install one of these kits. Would be way different then a vehicle wrap with being like 3 times as thick haha.
I can't wait to watch that haha
@@leestuart38 haha 😂
How do you get Vivid (KTM) Orange and Lime Green (Kawasaki)? My Roland 8 color (I have White and Metallic) just can't reproduce the Orange and Greens in CMYK.
I my machine is 8 colors but I don't have white or metallic, mine has orange ink. So I don't have any issues hitting Ktm orange, green isn't too bad either
Great job! Would it be possible for you to share the profile you created so that I can try it out? We seem to be encountering a similar issue with the color red
Consider learning how to laminate cut sheet sections so you don’t need to setup lam for different jobbing work. Saves time and cash if you’re swopping lam media often.
I would lile too have you design and print for my 2023 ktm 350
How is the vinyl part itself manufactured?
I want to produce this kind of stickers for motorcycles. just what are the machines i can use for this?
Fuck yeah! Also in for the new kit for that klx 110. If that looks like shit I'm definitely interested on seeing the V2.0
The next 110 kit will be glorious
@@leestuart38 i wouldn't expect anything less, and I'm sure neither would you 🤙🏼
What printer do you use? what laminator, templest etc????
Currently in the same boat myself. I'm trying to get into custom vinyl. I have ZERO idea how to get multi-colored vinyl? I'd like to replicate my 2023 KRT edition sticker kit in a different color for a fairing change, BUT all the vinyl is solid color? How do I get certain designs in a single piece? I know for a fact that it's not multiple sticker layers on a factory kit.
What printer, laminator and cutter do you use?
wish you’d share your Substance profile, im having really hard time hitting reds with it. about ready to go back to orajet but this is so much more affordable
hey man i whas wondering what graphics printer you are using?
How does the cutter know what lines to follow?
Dude just found your channel love your content
Thanks man!
@@leestuart38 no worries at all! Was wondering did you study graphic design or are you self taught? I’m just wondering because I’m thinking of studying but not sure if I should just continue learning from the internet. Thanks
No I'm self taught, so is my full time designer here who's way better than me by a long shot. School for graphic design isn't useful in my opinion, you can learn everything you need to know and more on CZcams or things like Skillshare if you're willing to put the time in.
Thanks man really appreciate it think I’ll give a look at skillshare for sure keep up the great content dude!
I have just one question
Where do you get the templates
I was pulling my hair out on my first set 😂
Question, did you use a heat gun? I've added graphics to curved surface parts with the aid of heat.
Yes always use a heat gun during install, but mx vinyl does not have much stretchabiliy at all so the heat is needs to be used sparingly
How you create the profile. I have the same problem?
Hey Lee, forgot to ask also, where do you get the bike templates from?
you can bye the software from mx-templates.com/
I googled them
hi friend.. nice to meet you. I'm Yusuf from Indonesia. I want to ask. what kind of material are you using.. it looks very thick.
HP DesignJet T630 Large work for prin graphic ?
can you write a comm with the tools you use? Plotter, Laminaotr and Printer? thank you !
What machines do you uses for printing your graphics
Hello bro! Whats the name of the machine that you use for making this graphics?
More dirt bike videos!!!
Working on another graphic kit video now 🤘🏻
What I don’t understand is how I could print my graphics on 8” x 11” in small pieces and then put them together…. I want to see how long mine would last . But can wrap my head around how I would get accurate files for plastic graphics and then scale them down and cut them to fit a normal print sheet. Any help or ideas?
Any chance of sharing your color profiles? Or Show how to create a color profile? Great video, keep up the great work!
My custom profiles are top secret, that's what gives us an edge. But they aren't hard to make once you dive into the software
