I really appreciate the backstory, the storytelling and telling the audience the intricacies of how this fantastic story gets told
one of my favorit films I've watched 100500 million of times
Such an underrated movie.. One of the best.
Amazing 10 - 15 camera shots on the HR, AMAZING
Let’s see, who didn’t they mention in the movie…… (1) Barry Zito, 23-5, AL Cy Young winner, (2) Mark Mulder, 19-7, 3.47 ERA, (3) Tim Hudson, 15-9, 2.98 ERA, (4) Billy Koch, 11-4, 44 Saves, (5) Miguel Tejada, AL MVP, 34 HR, 131 RBI, .308 BA, (6) Eric Chavez, 34 HR, 109 RBI, .279 BA, (7) Jermaine Dye, 24 HR, 86 RBI. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the movie, but the moneyball aspect was blown way out of proportion.
It would appear that those scouts did a hell of a job developing talent
Baseball has gotten so specialized, it’s taken some of the fun out of the game. The Hatterberg scenario is a perfect example. Whatever happened to playing more than one position when you were in high school, little league, babe Ruth? Maybe over dramatized but still, a man getting on base at a higher percentage should make a lot of sense.
Pitt hit it out of the park here (pun intended). I could also see Kurt Russell playing Beane.
Moneyball and The King are two of the most UNDERRATED movies of the past 10 years!!!!
I've watched this damn movie sooo many times! Splendid!
& this I’ve watched it for 7-13 times !😊
Math and numbers are real , have no prejudice in any specific manner or direction.
The whole world fell in love with Jonah Hill in this movie. I still love him.
Imagine they make a movie about your life and Brad Pitt is chosen to play you. LOL.
A fairy tail story. A well crafted movie.
Us Brits love an underdog story. Even if we're not fond of baseball
👍🏼✅
Dave Justice must have loved acting & then living on the big screen & for ever more the reality that the New Yankees were paying him $7 million dollars to play for a different teams that's how badly they wanted to get rid of him not that he didn't work out but still. They other team a better team was willing to pay your full salary to play against them. Usually if you get traded in MLB or most sports you go to another league or a team you aren't likely to play against often especially if your considered any good yet this was a team the played against a lot. LOL
Read the book. The book was way better.
This movie is so whack. They make it out to seem like they had no talent. The roster was stacked, especially the pitching which they never touch on...Hudson. Mulder, Zito.Lilly were all all-stars. And Zito won the Cy Young that year. GTFOH!
I agree. Zero focus on what really made Oakland a consistent winner. Maybe Bean didn't want other teams to read about that. Also, in real life Grady Fuson ran the draft, not Major League Scouting. That meeting is only about Major League players. The amateur scouting department has nothing to do with that. Also, Fusion and Beane are still good friends and Art Howe was depicted in a terrible and incorrect light. An overrated movie for non-baseball people.
Tell us you didn't watch the video without telling us you didn't watch the video.
@@rcslyman8929I was JUST about to say this 😂😂
@@rcslyman8929 I watched it with your Mom
So? So you’re saying none of these other issues happened because they had some talent? Or that talented teams never have any struggles? Neanderthal
what a haunting thumbnail
