It's my 5th time here, and I fall deeper in love with this place every time I come back. In today's video, instead of showing you the touristy things, I wanted to tell you some of the more unusual things to appreciate about Budapest.

Definitely great city! I was there twice and it was amazing. Budapest is an excellent example for how the public transport system should be in every big city.
I am originally from Hungary ,but have lived in Germany(Berlin) for a long time. I always like to visit Budapest(but Hungary ist more that just Budapest) and other beautiful places like, Tokaj (famous for wines), Szentendre(Artist Village), Györ ( has a beautiful old town and Town Hall), Heviz (the largest Thermal lake in the world), Sopron(beautiful town in western Hungary, Wine) , Eger(best know for its Castle, Red Wine), Balatonfüred( wine Festival),Tihany(famous for its Abbey and the Echo),Keszthely (Festetics Palace) , Esztergom ( Esztergom Basilica), Hortobagy (National Park ),Hollokö ( world Heritage, the living Village Museum ) ...
Drew, I think you should make more videos in Budapest, this city has so much more things to explore! :)
I used to take the yellow metro home, end station Vorosmarty ter, when i lived in Harmincad utca and later on in Vaci utca...... this video made me miss it all very much.....
Well.. I spent some days in Hungary in 1987..under the soviet influence... Nice City... A little bit grey in those days.. Now it seem to have more light... In 1989 everything changed.. But this is another history.. Budapest deserves more than a 3 minutes video...
Just got back from Budapest last week and I've never seen a more beautiful city. Doesn't hurt that it's ridiculously cheap too.

My favorite ruin bar is Szimpla. Instant is good but it's more like a night club but Szimpla is good as a chill place to meet people and talk. Also they have an amazing red ale that you can get on the first bar on your left. I put a bit of orange in the red ale to cut the bitterness. It's similar Arrogant Ba***rd at Stone brewery.

First of all I love travelling myslef, and your videos give a glimpse of places I have yet to want to visit in the future. So far I have been just over to 30 countries. I am specifically happy seeing this video because I was born and raised in Budapest, and I am happy that with all your experience you highly talk about my beloved city! I was there in last April..stayed at the heart of Pest side..a bit busy place..but enjoyed the stay..the city has manythings to offer every category of people..an amazing, archetectural, hystorical city..love from India...

Absolutely loved Budapest. There is a great restaurant there called the Budapest Makery. You make your own meal. It's pretty neat!

"Cheaper than western Europe" It's the most ironic thing in the world, that Hungary is dirt cheap for EVERYONE except for us hungarians.
Tbh when i visited budapest i found it really expensive. Grocery were really expensive when u compare, the cheapest pasta cannot be more than an euro; this is not switzerland.
