I just flew my 85-year-old grandparents to Europe for their VERY FIRST TIME on the continent!!! Yes, first time!! We spent 6 days in Denmark and 2 days in Sweden, and I will never forget our amazing time together. And better yet - I surprised by grandma to meet her childhood friend, Birgit, in Northern Denmark!!!
If your grandparents are still with us, I highly recommend spending more quality time with them. And your parents as well!! At the end of the day, the only thing that matters in this world is family ❤️

I agree with your grandmother --- the people are so nice. I've never met nicer people than in Copenhagen ... they are so friendly and helpful ... just about any time we were on the street looking like we needed assistance to find something, someone would stop and say, "do you need some help?"

What i love the most about this video is how much drew was smiling. It wasnt just a smile it, to meet it really looked like a smile of pure hapiness and it was beautiful to see both you and your grandparents joy and hapiness.

I don´t know if you know but Denmark managed to save almost all danish jews. My grandfather was part of the danish resistance and sailed jews to safety in Sweden. We still have his nazi issued fishing permit that made it possible for him to sail jews to Sweden.

OMG... This only video so far that imma have to skip any parts, my grandparents were my whole world. How 💕 precious! When our parents died my baby bro was 15 so I was hardly outta school seemed like mom dad and my granny were Gone. It was Me and Papaw against the world for a very very long time. Until his last breathe we made an amazing team! Ur lucky to have them plus ur parents. Bless u all🙏

I live in Norway, but I think Denmark and Sweden is better than Norway at their age when going on land.
All we have is nature and you kind of need to hike to really appreciate it.
Denmark and Sweden got more easily accessible history however.

This is such a wholesome video. I’m American but these will probably be the first European countries and go to. Definitely a good choice for older people. One cultural thing I know about northern Europe is that they take friendship very seriously. It’s hard to make friends with them but once you’re friends it’s your friends for life, so it doesn’t surprise me that your mom’s friend took the time to do this. Tak for videoen! 🇩🇰🇸🇪

This brought tears to my eyes. I was raised with my grandmother who came over in the 20s from Ireland. As a child she told me tales of her homeland and promised to take me. She was born in 1900 and died in 1995. We never went.
My family was going to take my grandmother to Europe in April 2020. She had never been. However due to COVID the trip was cancelled. Unfortunately she passed away in may 2021 and never traveled overseas. My family went on that trip to Europe in august this year and we were very sad that she was unable to join us

11:11 it basically is because. We have One single European government and parlament (the EU-commission and EU-parliament),
The EU has a territory
We have a single European currency the Euro and European citizenship
And the EU has relations with other countries.
So the EU is almost a federation just like the US, Canada or India.
That's why when I search a political party in an European country I see "EU Parliament". I never understood that, but now I know what it means. Thanks! :)
