- Continuing with the build on the 57 4 Door Sedan, this video covers the full floor pan replacement. There was so much rot in each corner of the floor and braces that it was just a better idea to replace the entire floor. I grab the plasma cutter and get to work!

I watched your floor cutout.install. Now I am waiting for more updates on the 57.
Good stuff here. I am replacing the floor and rockers on my '57 Chevy 2dr Post as well and really enjoy the process of fixing these cars. A nice trend I have noticed lately is that more and more people are fixing up the Base models now. (150's 210's) when I was growing up ('70's & '80's) It was 2dr. BelAir or nothing. It's a nice change. Keep it up, have fun and be safe. :-)

Thank you. I am having a good time sharing the build journeys with you all. I’m currently making a big push to get the 57 built as a fun cruiser before a wedding in October. I expect to be mostly done some time in September and then I’ll get right back to the 55.
My friend the floor looks awesome on the '57 Chevy it's really coming along very fast on a short period of time, excellent job good work it's looking real real nice. I can't wait to see it when you finish it, good job on that '57 Chevy it's looking great with that floor...

That plasma cutter appears to be a awesome tool. It's probably generates a lot less noise then the grinder. That new floor pan really looks sharp. This is turning out to be a very interesting project.
I love the plasma cutter. No vibration tingles in the hands and wrists compared to a grinder. Much less fatiguing.

I grabbed the rockers for both cars from classic industries. I like the weld through primer on them.

One of my favorite things to do is to replace a complete tri five floor pan. It’s actually pretty fun and not too hard to do.
Did you opt to do a butt weld across the rear seat area so that you wouldn’t have to remove the rear seat brace and rose bud weld in the factory location where the floor pan and trunk pan meet this time around?
Exactly. Wanted to save the time with not having to mess with the brace. It was purely a time decision, although the 5 ft butt weld took me 3-1/2 hrs to complete. Might have been a wash on time.
@@55TwoTen it obvious you have a hell of a talent when it comes to welding. I’m curious if you ever thought of trying out one of those Harbor Fright spot welders to mimic the factory spot welds around the rocker to floor flanges?

Josh what happened to you and this 57 was watchin , then vids stopped , and in a later vid you said something about the debacle the 57 was and never heard another thing about it
