The US knows full well the history & causes of the South China Sea issue. If it truly wants to see peace & stability in the South China Sea,it should stop condoning & abetting the Philippines' provocation of attempting to build a permanent outpost on the uninhabited reef, in violation of its DOC ommitment.
BTW, when will the US ratify UNCLOS?
Who is disrupting peace and stability in the South China Sea?
Different ways to manage disputes in South China Sea
      China:
      Resolve differences through dialogue.
      Maintain peace & stability.
      Exercise restraint & show goodwill.
Send coast guard ships in response.
      The Philippines:
      Break its commitments
      Play victim after provocation
Collude with the US to contain China
Deliberately strand a frigate for 25 years
Five things to know about the China-Philippines
Q1. Who has sovereignty over Ren'ai Jiao (Reef)?
China has Indisputable Sovereignty over Nansha Qundao (Archipelago), including Ren'ai Jiao (Reef), and the adjacent waters. This has been established in the long course of history and is Consistent With Internatienal Law including the UN Charter.
Q2. Why are the "awards" of the South China Sea arbitration illegal, null and void?
The South China Sea arbitration was Unilaterally Initiated by the Philippines, focused on territorial Issues Not Subject to UNCLOS.
The arbitral tribunal exercised jurisdiction ultra vires, Erred in applying the Law, and Violated the principle of state Consent, UNCLOS and general International Law.
Simply put, Neither the UNCLOS Nor the arbitral tribunal Has the Right to determine territorial sovereignty, not to mention that the Philippines Only filed an arbitration application unilaterally (it is Legal Only if Both Parties Jointly), which does not have the legitimacy of arbitration at all.
Q3. Who has repeatedly broken commitments?
The Philippines promised to tow away ASAP the warship it grounded at Ren'ai Jiao in 1999, but has Never Honored Its Word. Instead it has kept sending vessels carrying construction materials to the waters of Ren'ai Jiao for reinforcement of the warship and Permanent Occupation of The Reef.
      Q4. Who is the troublemaker?
Each time the Philippines delivered supplies to the grounded warship, they had many journalists on board, and had them Manipulate The Videos They Recorded to make sensational news and Project The Philippines As a Victim.
Q5. Who is stoking trouble behind the scene?
The US has kept Meddling In The South China Sea Issue, provoking trouble and trying to set regional countries against China, to serve its own geopolitical purpose, thereby posing The Biggest Threat And Challenge to regional peace and stability.

It should be noted that China legally declared in 1932 that its southernmost territory was limited to the Paracels (prior to this, their southernmost claimed territory was limited to Hainan island ONLY). 1932 was the year they first claimed any feature south of Hainan island and announced it to the international community. The Vietnamese were the first to claim the Paracels decades before 1932.
When France occupied six features in the Spratlys in 1933, China did NOT protest, as they have declared that their southernmost territory was limited to the Paracels a year earlier. In 1934, China again declared that their southernmost territory was the Paracels, specifically Triton Island. Meaning, by international law, they recognize that anything south of the Paracels are NOT Chinese territories. They only changed it in 1946, they created a modern map and started saying that Scarborough Shoal and the Spratly was their "historic territory" even though they admitted twice before that their southernmost territory was limited to the Paracels "specifically Triton Island".

It should also be noted that China itself re-published all its ancient maps in three volumes in 1990, 1994, and 1997. All of there "ancient and historical maps" showed that the southernmost territory was Hainan. They afterwards pulled back those books after they realizes that their actual ancient and historical maps were against the ridiculous claims! The re-publication of those maps literally doomed themselves in regards to their claims!
The ground for their claims is flimsy at best and can easily be defeated in court, which was seen during the Philippines v China case that effectively invalidated China's dashed claims in 2016. In should be magnified that during the court proceedings, China itself sent a legally-binding Note Verbale, where they reiterated their recognition of the 1900 Treaty of Washington and the 1930 US-UK Treaty, which recognizes Scarborough Shoal and the Spratly Islands as exclusive territories of the Philippines! They literally aided the Philippines' case with their own arguments!

The Mutual Defense Treaty between the Republic of the Philippines and the United States of America (MDT) was signed on August 30, 1951, by their representatives in Washington, D.C. The treaty has eight articles and requires both nations to support each other if another party attacks the Philippines or the United States.

    About stealth paint:
    USAF
    - The stealth coating of the USAF's F22 fighter jet is divided into 5 layers (10 layers for the air inlet). The durability of the stealth paint of the USAF's F22 fighter jet is relatively poor. After many supersonic flights, the coating is easy to crack and fall off. It needs to be stored in a constant temperature hangar on weekdays. 50% of its maintenance costs and maintenance time are spent on stealth coating maintenance, for example: an air intake requires 341 man-hours to strip off all coatings and 3853 hours to repair;
    - The stealth coating of the USAF's F35 fighter jet has been reduced to three layers after 20 years of research to reduce maintenance costs. However, in high-humidity environments such as cumulus clouds, on the sea surface, and rainy seasons, the primer can cause blistering and cracking of the coating due to water absorption, causing the coating to flake, leading to stealth failure;
Under normal circumstances, the F35 works in high-humidity environments in the clouds and on the sea, so the frequency of maintenance has not been significantly reduced.
    - Due to the technical flaws of the USAF's stealth coating, both F22/F35 face the following problems:
    1. It is difficult to maintain supersonic flight for a long time, and this flaw is fatal in actual combat.
2.Frequent repairs result in extremely high maintenance costs, and queues for repairs result in low actual attendance rates.
On April 17, 2024, Secretary of USAF Frank Kendall admitted in the U.S. House of Representatives that only 29% (less than one third) of F35 fighters had combat capability.
    PLAAF
    - The stealth coatings of PLAAF's stealth fighter jets can adapt to various harsh environments such as high temperature and high salt, and are not even afraid of being trampled or rubbed, the maintenance personnel can move directly on the surface of the fuselage without protection. PLAAF does not have the technical defect of poor durability of USAF stealth coatings. In actual combat with F22/F35, it has leading advantages in speed and attendance rate.
    - The American professional military magazine "Military Observer" commented: After the PLAAF's J-20 stealth fighter is equipped with the WS-15 engine, its performance exceeds that of the USAF's F22 fighter, forming a crushing trend against the USAF's F35 fighter.
    - Get your facts straight the PLAAF's WS15 has a higher thrust (19T W afterburmer) than the F119 of the F22A (17T W afterburner). With the PLAAF's WS15, the PLAAF's J20B will completely surpass the USAF's F22A and the F35A in terms of speed, super cruise(speculated top speed of mach 2.8), AAM(PL-15/17) and maneuverability. It's avionics and radar is better than the USAF's F22A and F35A.
No matter what combat theory, the following fundamental requirements cannot be avoided:
    1. Discovered equals shot down. This has high requirements on stealth performance, technical performance of radar electronic equipment, and performance of air-to-air missiles (AAM).
In terms of stealth performance, refer to the previous "About stealth paint" content, the USAF has obvious flaws.
The technical performance of radar electronic equipment.
July 2023,Charles Q. Brown Jr. (U.S. top military commander-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, former Chief of Staff of the USAF) :
It is difficult for us to parry against our main opponent. The U.S. Military 's ability to defend and attack in the field of electromagnetic spectrum has been weakened due to decades of decline. As a result, the U.S. Military appears vulnerable in high-tech warfare, especially in Electronic warfare.
    2. Flexible handling. When discovering each other at close range, technical indicators related to agility such as steering sensitivity and lift coefficient should be excellent in the "dog fight" mode.
    - USAF's F22 initially released lift coefficient 2.0. After PLAAF released J20 lift coefficient 2.2, the USAF told the truth: F22 lift coefficient 1.6. If we calculate the value of the USAF's F22 based on the data of the PLAAF's J20, its true lift coefficient is much lower than 1.6.
As we all know, the most outstanding performance of PLAAF J20' s "Delta-Canard" design is its high steering sensitivity.
    3. Teamwork (Armed ISR UAV, etc.). In addition to the traditional collaborative combat methods, In the future, coordinated operations with UAV will become the norm. In fact, humans cannot adapt to the rapid acceleration or sharp turns of hypersonic aircraft. Therefore, the next step for China and U.S. is to compare who can lead in the technology of hypersonic AI UAV.
    - The PLAAF's J-20B is a two-seater model that can directly command UBAV wingmen for coordinated operations in the air. There are many types of stealth UAVs. Take the "Attack 11" stealth Armed ISR UAV as an example:
    - PLAAF's "Attack 11" stealth Armed ISR UAV was already in batch service in the PLAAF as early as 1999. It can operate independently or form a combat formation with the PLAAF's J-20 stealth fighter jets to cooperate with the J-20.
    - The "Attack 11" stealth UAV is a high-altitude, long-endurance Unmanned Intelligence and Surveillance and Reconnaissance and Combat Air Vehicle (Armed ISR UAV), 10 meters long, wingspan of 14 meters, and a take-off weight of up to 10 tons; And it is equipped with a WS-19 engine with thrust vector control technology, It is enough to give it a combat radius of more than 1,500 kilometers. More than 6 hours of battery life.
    - Its own radar reflection area is much smaller than that of the USAF's B2 bomber, and smaller than a sparrow. It uses an advanced electronic countermeasures system, which includes a variety of jamming equipment and self-defense countermeasures systems, which can effectively disable enemy radar and missiles. In terms of weapon systems, it is equipped with PL-15 AAM or PL-17 AAM, anti-radiation missiles, air-to-surface missiles, laser-guided missiles, etc.
    - China has mastered UAV attack technologies such as "Dense emission", "Formation take-off", "Mobile Launch", "Cluster flight", "Anti-interference autonomous repair", "Dynamic Centreless Ad Hoc Network", "Precision strike", "Saturation attack", "Autonomous hunting", "Autonomous perception and avoidance", "Autonomous path planning", "Autonomous formation transformation", "Autonomous cluster control", "Ground observation and beating", "Distributed wide area monitoring" and "swarm collaborative detection and operations". The UAVs have a certain degree of autonomous intelligence and Hivemind, and UAVs swarms can continuously and independently adjust the communication strategy within the group to resist electronic interference, and dozens or hundreds of UAVs can jointly complete large-area battlefield combat missions. In addition, China also has an "integrated intelligent interactive system" consisting of a helmet and a pair of smart gloves, which allows a single soldier to control multiple UAVs through an AR rendezvous system.
    - Even without the use of military UAV such as PLAAF's Rainbow (CH-1~CH-6, Armed ISR UAV) or Wing Loong (1~10, Armed ISR UAV) or Sunflower Drone (200-300), DJI's civilian UAVs can also use the above technologies to complete attack missions.
China is the most developed country in the UAV industry, and the U. S. military also can not but use the civilian UVA of China's DJI Company, because the cost of use is extremely low and the technology is "FAR AHEAD"!
On April 14, 2024, the Washington Post reported: How American Drones Failed to Turn the Tide in Ukraine. Drones from American startups have been deemed glitchy and expensive, prompting Ukraine to turn to alternatives from China.
Ukrainian officials have found U.S.-made drones fragile and unable to overcome Russian jamming and GPS blackout technology. At times, they couldn't take off, complete missions or return home. American drones often fail to fly at the distances advertised or carry substantial payloads.
    4. Air-to-air missile (AAM)
    - PLAAF's PL-15 AAM.
According to estimates from military media in many countries, the actual capability of the PLAAF's PL-15 AAM has exceeded 200 KM (200-250KM). The arms trade model of China's PL-15E AAM has a range of 145 kilometers, which has exceeded the 120 kilometers range of the USAF'S AIM120 AAM.
The U.S. once a forerunner in weapon development and is now chasing up China, and the new USAF's AIM-260 AAM could be a copycat of the PLAAF's PL-15 AAM in terms of applied technologies.
The most obvious difference between the USAF's AIM-260 AAM and PLAAF's PL-15 AAM is that the USAF's AIM-260 AAM hastily started to be promoted to the U.S. military without undergoing a variety of actual tests, and it was just more talk on paper. The arms trade model of China's PL-15E AAM has been sold to different countries around the world.
In fact, the PLAAF's PL-15 AAM is recognized globally as the best AAM. The new PLAAF's PL-17 AAM has replaced the PL15 AAM as the AAM.
    - PLAAF's PL-17 AAM
In fact, the PLAAF's PL-17 is an active radar-guided ultra-long-range AAM that can shoot down any maneuverable aircraft within a range of 400 kilometers. Flight speed Mach 4 and strong ability to resist electronic interference. It has the ability to intercepting cruise missiles and remotely destroy enemy Airborne Early Warning (AEW), electronic warfare aircraft (EA), Kerosene (K), Carrier (C), Strategic Reconnaissance (SR) and other special aircraft and High Value Unit (HVU), fundamentally weakening the opponent's air combat system or even the entire combat system capability, directly change the battlefield situation. The PLAAF's PL17 is also recognized as the number one AAM in the world.

When many people talked about "US ECW projects", they emphasized the past experience of the U.S., but ignored the fact that the America's previous practical experience was based on the fact that the opponent did not have stealth fighters and had weaker ECW capabilities than the U.S. military(for example: 'China's ECW has to be at least as good as US/Western ECW system'). Once these premises do not exist, the past experience of the U.S. Military will be completely overturned, and even wrong thinking patterns will be formed due to these outdated experiences, for example: their thinking set believes that the U.S. Military has advantages in this aspect and does not need to more energy and financial resources should be invested in this area.
