the devil z's name "???" just makes it more intimidating
For someone like me who learned about this game before Wangan Midnight, the "???" final boss just had a certain magic to it that I don't think if I know the Devil Z first would gave me.
As a kid playing this game I didn't realize the gravity of everyone on team freeway having 800-1000 hp lol
Free Way was always my favorite team, I guess because GT-Rs lol.
It seems that you have found me in the past. I was part of the 13 devils long ago till they disbanded yet again after a mysterious driver came and ended our careers and destroyed the will of the team. Its a shame really however i still race what happened to the others is still unknown. 2003 two years after the defeat some of my team members came back and mixed with the zodiacs i still remained as the last team member as the leader was batshit crazy along with the other members since he got defeated again he disappeared completely just like white charisma. in these days I relax and Reminisce about the past and our former glory days in the Zero era when we first became a team.
This is the best thing I read in a long time 💜

Looks like wangan midnight is already popular in Japan back then. They put Blackbird in the opponent list and Devil Z as a final boss list.

@fistingendakenny8781 race against any rival once the race ends the menu will come up with free run return to garage etc just leave it and eventually the car will drive by itself and it will say auto pilot at the bottom

Both TXR2 and TXR0 is only TXR series uses US drivers name in other than JP version. Starting TXR3, the driver name is Japanese in outside JP version.

Yes, In Euro version has name Tokyo Xtreme racer, But in euro version has producer Crave entertainment.

Damn do I love these games, it's too bad they're an acquired taste. This one also didn't look or play that great. Txr 3 was better but didn't have the diverse car list and mod parts. Shame the series is dead.
Agree, one of things I love about TXR 0 compared to 3 is how the boss cars have special bodykits which make them more unique. Though I guess it may have been because of licensing issues in TXR 3.
Oddly enough I think Genki is still alive but they're focused on WMMT ( and maybe the mobile game, Drift Spirits ).

@@KemonoGamer75 On Genki being alive ? It seems so considering the site is still alive and from what I've seen on Wikipedia, the company is still alive.
On Genki working on WMMT and Drift Spirits ? Apparently they worked on the first WMMT but I don't know about the latter ones, but I guess they do. For Drift Spirits, its share some assets/models with WMMT so I think they also work on this game, but I didn't see them credited anywhere.

@@Pov.kucing838 Though it does not have to be because they are Takumi wannabes, they just happen to pick a lightweight car, thing the AE86 is. It's all a coincidence. Though i accept there's a chance Rolling Guy was actually somewhat inspired in Initial D.
There actually is a takumi rival in one of the Txr Drift games.
