I agree, the B7 A4 is not just the best looking A4, it's the best looking compact 4 door saloon ever. Back in 2008 I wanted to buy my beautiful wife a new car and suggested a Camry or a Volvo S40 but she wanted an A4 and insisted on the B7 even though the new B8 had just arrived at our local dealership. It was over my budget even after a hefty discount on the 'old' B7 2.0 TFSI model but I bit the bullet. Today I'm glad for her choice, such great taste. She still loves and drives it today, 150k km on the clock with no major problems.

Good video. Miss my old 2006 B7 2.0 TFSI! Had it until 315,000 km or 195,000 miles. It was bullet proof for many years but once it got past the age of 15, small problems seemed to appear ever more frequently. O2 sensor, thermostat, blower relay water damage, small oil leak with the vacuum pump, exhaust pipe holders. And the damn rust, not just in the arches but also in the rear and small rust dots appeared even in the doors. The car was on the original chassis parts so that was going to be expensive sooner or later and didn't feel like throwing in more money due to the rust.

@@damos_cars The B7 2.0 TDI actually has a 70 litre fuel tank, which can approach 750 miles + or 1000/1100 km range, making it still one of the longest range cars around. I remember filling my 2006 Avant S-line in Bordeaux and driving back to Lancashire and still having one quarter tank left. At almost 228,000 miles/367,000 km it still runs like new on the original Turbo and clutch. I've spent a bit maintaining it but it is a car that returns the favours and it still looks very good, only needing new wings to shine, with no other rust anywhere and a hard wearing still hardly faded interior. Effective Sat Nav with wireless Android Auto and front/rear cameras has transformed it into a very modern tractable car too.

Usually diesel and only 2WD, also less attractive. I talk about it in my other B7 vids.

I love my B7 220hp quottro but the quality is poor, really bad actaully. If you buy one, prepare to spend alot of time in the garage fixing it!

in what way is the quality poor? You mean reliability?

  • @shahidrehanPT1

Don't agree with the reliability. New A4 and A6s are way more reliable than the pre 2010 models.

    It has some flaws...
but the B7 has aged well and it looks more like the modern car generations.
black S-line interior is a must! and some 19” wheels give It the proper stance. 😍
stay away from the 2.0T and Multitronic models!

Yeh, I agree. Ours is a bit tired now and other than routine maintenance its not had lots of love. It is a 2.0TFSI though! So far, it's been ok. I really do enjoy driving it. Cool cars, without any over engineered bits you don't need but still with the bits you do need. Thanks for watching.

      nochocolatemuffins4u *2.0T and 2.0TFSI up to 2011.
biggest problem is the Oil consumption... and the direct injection creates carbon buildup at the valves.
They also use a K03 turbocharger from the smaller 1.8T engine, those break at 230hp. 200hp is almost the upper limit.
a later 1.8T with 163hp is the better choice!

This car will go down as a classic when it's old enough! But for now this is the choice of people living on wellfare, living in shitty houses, being behind on rent... Nothing the Audi can help about but if you turn up with a B7 A4 today everyone thinks you are Riff Raff 😂
