“I’m doing what I can do, and i’m proud of myself, and i’m proud of Tom”.
Class act Mitch.
I'm proud of Evan!! Excellent showing from him this year! He is a class act as well
IKR, people say he’s arrogant, but I never see him bad mouth anyone, just got confidence
@@fanfeck2844People often mistake confidence for arrogance. But I think people don't realize the drive needed to want to be the best.
@@fanfeck2844 I can't see any arrogance. An arrogant person doesn't cheer for his fellow competitors and doesn't treat everyone with respect. Mitch does those things.
It's funny to me when ppl say Mitch is arrogant. LHBK...
I'm from Scotland so was obviously rooting for the Stoltman brothers but I just wanted to say that the way you conduct yourself is a credit to you and your sport.Hopefully, you continue to push each other to great things in the future.
I enjoy your content and will continue to follow you.
totally agree
Pretty poor that Tom doesn't use the Scottish flag tbh, actually it's a disgrace.
@lf67hh28 the only disgrace is a clown who makes an uneducated comment. At WSM all those athletes have to represent the U.K.
While at giants live and other shows he wears and represents scotland.
Even still, he had a scottish flag right after the stone run before standing on the podium.
@nolan564 The UK isn't a country, is the point. No true Scotsman would ever wear that rag. Then again, Bryce runs the show though and they have to bend over for a payday 😂
Calling your superiors a clown is interesting, though, wee man. 😂
@@lf67hh28 Get a life 🤡
The fact you tore your hand and still managed to hold onto second place is nothing short of remarkable.
Pun intended?
@nicholassmith7048 by the skin of his....
Although to be real there was a decent gap between him and Singleton.
In the first event too. He basically came 2nd with lubed play dough hands.
It happens to lots of these guys.
No stone left unturned : skincare. Featuring Adam Ondra
*One stone left unturned
I'm rooting for Mitch / Magnus collab, yo
@@pavelbratchenko3885 Omggg that would be so awesome lol
@@pavelbratchenko3885 That'd be awesome!
@@pavelbratchenko3885 Hope Mitch see's this, certainly a fun way to improve grip, they probably have something or an exercise that can help prevent sliding grip (which contributed to hand tear, along with an apparently rusty bar that mitch had for some reason).
The little kid " Mitch Hooper! You are my favorite strongman!" Loved that so much!
That is my son Hudson! He had an amazing time and Mitch, being his true self, was so great with him
Me too! that was my favorite part in the video tbh
This crowd looks tiny in comparison to even some smaller local shows.
I really wish WSM would give the guys the atmosphere they deserve at such a high level of proffesional sport, the build up to this event was sooo quiet and under advertised.
I understand that its a TV show but strongman has grown now and i think people should really be given a chance to watch it live , we dont care if there are TV segments etc being filmed throughout , its just a chance for people to watch their favourite athletes performing live and to be able to support the sport in the process by paying for it.
WELL DONE MITCHELL HOOPER, an event like this deserves to be seen LIVE by the masses and you deserve to be SEEN LIVE by the masses.
I think strongmen should start ignoring this competition because its absolute garbage. Its the worst 'major' show and it has no fucking business being the 'main' title in strongmen
100% agree
Who that's actually a serious Strongman fan didn't know WSM would be in Myrtle Beach for over a year? It's not the organizers fault that we didn't show up.
The actual contest was really good this year, all the events were good and well weighted, the events ran in a timely manner, the in person experience was good. The only bad thing was that there was no livestream
@@infernus6278 so true, all they care about is tv money they dont give a damn about growing the sport, i dont even bother watching wsm anymore
It's 1 thing seeing a man when he wins. But when he loses shows who he is. You are a legend Mitchell.
How did Mitch lose? I saw him on the podium, gouged hands and all.
@@weedermannPlacing on the podium is great, but in strongman it’s all about the title.
9:45 that was fucking adorable.
The woman's reaction in the background makes it even more so 👌🏻❤️
Stoltman fan here but mitch is top notch and a real ambassador going forward for the sport
@@JGals-Journey Awe I didn't see her! Thanks for pointing it out. Yea so cute.
Best moment 😊
That literally brought tears to my eyes. What a genuine moment.

To finish 2nd at Worlds with the hand issues you had from basically the beginning of the finals is an amazing feat. Personally that’s just as impressive as a lot of your wins. Love that champion’s mentality and the attitude and frankly grace you showed battling through and injury like you have. The Moose Legacy just grows.
No condolences for you. You get a congratulations.
You just took 2nd place to a Tom Stoltman who brought his A-Game.
You did incredible. Congratulations.
I was really pleased for Tom, as a big Stoltman fan but it's impossible not to love Mitch. The attitude towards others is phenomenal. No excuses, no hoping for others to do bad so he can win, nothing but love and respect for his fellow competitors. That's the amazing thing about this sport. Even last place cheers for the winner. No other sport like it!
Hooper makes us proud to be Canadian and lately that's been a hard thing to be, a proud Canadian. Standing with the likes of Gretzki, GSP and the like, a classy sportsman of the highest caliber. 2025 watch out!
If you don’t know how to spell Gretzky u better study harder.
Year ago thought Hooper was arrogant. This year opinion of him gone through the roof. Honest, humble and genuine. Top lad.
why on earth did you think that
@@locks69 Probably because what he said and how he acted after first winning the Arnold. He came off that way to a lot of people after that.
@@aeis3007 was it "it's not about me, it's about doing the work. Today is the first day of getting to work on the next thing"? That's what I remember from his exit interview. What do you remember?
I'm glad your opinion changed. But, I have never seen him act arrogant. At least compared to some of the Strongmen that I have watched.
Confident and thrilled to win that early in his Pro career. But not arrogant.
I think his honest assessment of himself is taken for arrogance. If he is the best, he will say so. But if he is not the best, he will also be the first to say so.
LHBK! 2nd Strongest in the world with no hands. 🙌🏻
It is not uncommon for strongmen to tear their hands in the first event. That's definitely not an excuse. Hooper was brutally strong, but he lost because Tom was stronger. Even without this "injury" he would finish second. So yeah he came second with two hands. Props to that by the way.
I didn’t hear him making an excuse
It’s the new Brian/big Z rivalry. Tom and Mitch will go back-and-forth each year and something stupid will happen that is out of their control to cost them a point or two. Like when Brian’s bag fell from the barrel, and cost him a WSM title. Mitch’s skin ripping apart. It won’t be the last time something like this happens, and next year, something will probably happen to Tom to cost him a point or two.
And I can't find where I wrote about Hooper making excuses. I just wanted to point out that this is part of the sport.
I DON'T KNOW WHY HE DIDN'T TRY TO WEAR GLOVES.
An inspiration you are !! Have a fantastic 2024 and keep up the spirit.
Good job Mitch. It was a great battle between you and Tom, fun to watch from the spreadsheets
Hooper be like: "look mom, no hands" - comes second
and sets and shares a world record on keg throw!! Beautiful throw too, just perfect. Love Mitch, Tom and Evan!
Unbelievable.
No BS, most of the top athletes probably would have either dropped out, or the injury would have really hindered their performance. Here's Mitch who pushes through and still threatens for the title. 2nd to Tom, who was on point all weekend with no hands is ridiculous.
facts
I'm from Scotland and I love your attitude mate. Tom winning was awesome but the takeaway for me this year was your attitude and stoicism. Love watching your channel and you Inspire me to the best version of me that I can. Congrats on a truly amazing performance.
Congratulations on your 2nd place .I have enjoyed watching your channel this past year.Your combination of Strength, Athleticism and Humility are awe-inspiring. Long may it continue. LHBK.
I’ve never watched your channel before but today I’m glad I did. Being from Scotland I’m a huge stoltman fan and I’ve enjoyed watching you and Tom bring the best out in each other. I have enjoyed this video because I have seen a side to you that I never took time to learn until now.. Humble and Kind are the attributes that make you strong so huge congrats on a formidable performance. ❤
Mitchell, a true gracious champ!!! I met yourself at GL Glasgow last year and not only a unbelievable strongman but a great guy, to give praise to the new champ like you have proves your LHBK philosophy and although I am a big stoltman brothers fan, you have gained a moose fan for life buddy. Hope the hands heal up fast.
5:14 I VERY MUCH appreciate you allowing us to see/witness this side of you and the sport, Mitch.
Michell you may not be the world strongest man this year but you still remain the world gratees inspiration!!!! Thank you fror being out there!!
Absolute warrior battling through all that. Congrats on 2nd place you legend.
Great work Mitch powering through. And congrats to Tom. The Stoltman brothers have worked so hard to show up in top shape this year and it paid off.
One thing that I love about strongman is all of the competitors are so likeable that I was gonna be super happy for whoever one.
Fantastic effort! Congratulations on finsihing and no major injuries. Hope the hands heal up quickly. It's good to see a true gentleman as a role model for our youth!
Congrats on the result! great work.
I'm happy to see another person taking the kindness in to the sport as Brian did, it's a great way to spread it to people who think of the Ego lifters in the gym, when Strongman is being mentioned, I've never seen a show in person, but i would go and say Hi if i ever got the chance to see you at a show, along with the others of course.. but it's impressive what you have done, and i hope it ain't the last you'll be in.
Hell of a go! Being able to push through and focus on doing everything you can is super inspiring. Congrats to Tom on his incredible performance this year, but man, watching Mitch grind through this on pure determination was a sight. 2025 (and the 2024 season) is going to be a hell of a battle.
I'm a Stoltman fan at heart, but massive congratulations to you, Mitch, for doing brilliantly to come back from the mishap on the first event to come comfortably second.
You overcame adversity and kept Tom honest throughout the competition, so Kudos to you brother!
You're a Gent and a proper role model in how one should conduct themsleves.
Use this as fuel for the fire to come back stronger than ever for WSM 2025.
The Era of Mitch Vs Tom has well and truly begun! 🫎💪🌶
All the best! 🙏❤️
You are incredible as always! Looking forward to your forthcoming skin masterclass. From what I remember, most of the guys are always filing down their calluses so there is less mass to rip off. Looks like you got it as bad as it could be. Also, if you look at the rock climbing community, they also obsess over skin quality as they are always wearing it down on their finger tips, they have started to use a combination of chalk and a fan to get the best dryness for their skin. I think the idea is that as our skin gets sweaty and moist, it is most likely to wear/tear.
You're insane at what you do! Thanks for all the entertainment! Unfortunate circumstances, I'm sure you could have won without those mishaps!
This does spice up your rivalry even more for the future!
Wish you all the best!
Hey Mitch, I really respect the way you’ve handled the issue with your hands and kept fighting. Made no excuses and put your head down. I’m sure you’ve gained plenty more fans along the way this year. Look forward to seeing you winning again later in the year. Top man.
What a great Champion! So proud of Hoop! Looks like a classic rivalry is coming btw Mitch & Tom. Wow! Thank you for giving your all…we all appreciate you!! ❤🏋🏼♂️🙏🏼🙌🏼💪🏼
I almost stared crying when I saw how much pain you were in as they were fixing your hands. You are an amazing representative for Strongman and for human beings in general. Much ❤from Ottawa!

@@hannibalb8276 I like Mitchell Hooper a lot actually. I watch all his videos, he's a very intelligent guy. I like Tom Stoltman more to be fair as I've been a fan of him longer.
The point of my comments to you are to correct you, because it wasn't the frames fault. That's the issue. You don't want to recognize that it was what he did or didn't do that led to the hands getting torn. Like he can do no wrong. You're the real fan boy here.
I'm not British.
Fantastic effort, and great content on here all week! Looking forward to seeing you at the Strongman Classic in July!
You're an amazing ambassador for the sport, Mitch. I'm excited to watch you and Tom duke it out for many years to come. He can only outrun your consistency for so long.

Congratulations Hooper! Couldn't be more proud to be part of the LHBK group, handling that pain is a testament of your grit and strength!
I’ve tore really bad before. But that looked brutal. And it just compromises your grip so much. Props to you for seeing it through. You’re a warrior.
What a gentleman you are. Never an excuse and always a good word for your competitor.
So proud of you brother, unbelievable resolve and commitment 💪🏻
I love how you guys are always kind to eachother and support eachother even though you perform on such a high level and the stakes are so high. I think every sport should have such a supporting and friendly community. Congrats to the second place Mr. Hooper.
knowing how competing (on a completely different level obviously) with ripped hands is hats off for what you managed to do.
I am sure this is the weekend that you will look back onto in a few years and realize that it has been the one that has changed everything for the better and that this weekend the true legend (which I am sure we are going to see rising very soon) was born.
I was there last year when you won the title, did not manage to come this year but if it is reasonably close to Mexico I will be there next year to see how you get it back.
I can't believe you managed to fight through those injuries to your hands and the pain that it brought.. Absolutely determined and you deserve all the praise for staying humble and level-headed despite this unforeseen obstacle. You are an idol to many and I will continue to support and follow all of your next endeavors.

I'm looking forward to the other completions this year where you'll dominate 😄
Maybe some grip training with shaw is in store?
Mitch, I hope you read this, I'm the biggest stoltman fan on earth and I have been of the opinion that you are an arrogant piece of work.
I take that back, massive respect for how sober and humble you handled yourself throughout the comp. Different from the "I should easily win" Mitchell that I've seen on social media. Big respect.
Congrats on the amazing effort, Mitch! I was cheering you on the whole time from home (I really wish they would stream these events). My money is on you becoming the 2x in 2025! Chin up, and LHBK, brother!!! 💪💪
I can understand how some people can think Mitch is arrogant and cocky, some of the statements he makes can lead people to think that. But having met him he is incredibly humble and a class act. There is a difference being confidant in yourself and arrogant. Mitch has loads of confidence (as he should) but is NOT arrogant!!! Thanks for being such a great ambassador to the sport!

What a lovely bloke, I wish there were a few more in the world with your attitude.
You should be very proud!!!
Well done to Tom, for minimising his weakness, while maintaining his strengths.
Well done to Mitch for showing great fortitude.
What about a Devon Larratt and Mitch Hooper grip training collaboration?
All things considered with your hands, your performance was phenomenal. Sounds like you have a good mentality about it either way. Very proud of you, and looking forward to your future content and competitions. Much love from the Georgian Bay area back home
Man! Hats off to you! Amazing performance on and especially off court (platform, rather?). Absolute class!
Gotta collab with Magnus Midtbo to learn these thick skin techniques, man. Congratz on the second place, mega perfomance, great sportsmanship.
I suppose the consolation for Mitch (beyond 2nd place which is a huge accomplishment) is that if he won the medley he would have ended up at 52.5 points and Tom at 52. He possibly left points behind on axle, and deadlift too (one more rep gets 2 points).
Meanwhile, Tom performed perfectly (and above expectation on the Conan's wheel). Should still be a confidence boost for Mitch knowing that he has Tom's number when everything goes right.
Hopefully these guys don't fall into the Brian Shaw mentality of only focusing on WSM and they continue to compete often. Especially since I don't even regard WSM as the top competition anymore.
We'll definitely see both of them competing atleast 5 times in a year if not for injury
Thanks for showing the damage to your hand. Totally different perspective to what you guys deal with towards the end. Crazy
Great job and outlook
Mr. Hooper, I have to hand it to you. You are a true gentleman and a class act all the way. I have because a huge fan of yours because of your humility and kindness.
